Wouldn’t it be great if next time someone handed you a guitar and said “Play us something then..” that you could whip out a stunningly gorgeous and impressive solo?
A solo piece that conjures up the spirit of Django and Gypsy Jazz, full of exquisite chords, lead runs and tasty harmonics.
Well I'm here to tell you that this is entirely within your reach and that it’s easier than you think.
You see, I've composed a short solo piece called ‘Django’s Dream’ that is impressive, beautiful, dreamy, lyrical and playable by guitarists of all levels.
Each chord and run of ‘Django’s Dream’ evokes the spirit of manouche gypsy guitarists and there’s even a sprinkling of flamenco in there as a nod to Spain, the home of guitar.
As you learn this short solo piece you’ll be opening up your guitar to new, exciting and wonderful sounds. Chords you’ve never played before yet sound so familiar and beautiful. Single note runs that are impressive yet easy to play and harmonics that put the icing on the cake.
I’ll be going through each chord and each single note run super slowly step-by-step so you can get this gorgeous piece into your repertoire and have the thrill of playing it for a loved one or to enjoy by yourself.
‘Django’s Dream’ is full of Reinhardt charm yet expands the harmonic envelope with influences of more modern day greats like Bireli Lagrene and Paco De Lucia.
A piece that guarantees to bring you much joy and make you fall even deeper in love with your guitar!

@@stevenhorton7457 nice one man have a go take it slow and stay inspired!
How do you play with your right hand? Your entire forearm moves and swings back and forth. That is a counter-movement to your hand! You need to play from the wrist! The forearm should be on the body of the instrument and provide stability. Otherwise, your stroke will always wobble back and forth!! Use your forearm for the stability of the instrument and move your right hand only from the wrist!
Haha yes good observation but this is how I’ve always played and hard to break such a habit. Thanks for the comment and hope you like he music!
