We are is very iconic, so that’s why you see it multiple times. It’s the musical face of the 20+ year animated series, and dear to all the fans hearts. A newish rendition of it playing every like 8 openings may seem a tiny bit repetitive, but in reality it took place over like 5/6 years lol. When they played it on episode 1000 I damn near she’d a tear man. Love one piece.

@@SoloRaiju You might think this is a long journey , but it's really not.. Once you're in the One Piece rabbithole you will binge like crazy at times and it will finish way quicker than you thought it would.. It took me 2 months to watch everything last summer..

The we are after opening 23 is animated differently actually, you shouldn't have skipped it. It was exclusively just for episode 1000. They added characters and other different aspects thats different from the original

@@SoloRaiju It's sang the same, but animated differently, its a complete remake. The different animation quality, more crews and characters added in. The first 20 seconds are the same, but the rest are different.

Yes, Oda has most of the characters birthdates, favorite foods, and many have a random fun fact or two about them, and many many characters have drawings of what they looked like as kids even if it's not in the story itself.
It's been said many times no one is a bigger One Piece fan than the creator Oda himself.
That makes a lot of sense. If gonna do a story for this long, you would have to love it so much. The dedication it would take

A lot of people forget how badass she can be because she's often staying behind the others until she can't anymore. I recently saw an episode where she said "I'm not weak, I'm just a chicken" to an enemy that came after her. So we don't get to see her shine on her own as often as the others

The best openings are also where One Piece peaks. OP 5 Kokoro No Chizu and OP 6 Brand New World are openings for Water7 and Enies Lobby. Opening 13 One Day and OP 14 Fight Together is also a great saga (Marineford and Post-Marineford). So excited for youuuu :) And the last We Are is a tribute to the fans who made it to Episode 1000. It's really good but I guess, you need to get there first to appreciate it hahah

for me each op means so much for different reasons, but there are some specials, for example op 11 for my fav arc (hah, i cried my whole week because of that arc, but the story,!), op 13-14..yeah, the music the arc is just.. wow,! (more tears), op 16 to be honest i dont have a clue why a have a strong connection to that one, i think during those episode i realized that one piece became my fav anime (i just enjoyed my time i didnt even pay attention how much i liked the show, haha) and finally op 24 the first opening which was introduced when i caught up and i became a weekly watcher:)

Yeah, the last ones (24) has the best animation, 23 is up there too but 24 blew it out of the park. Btw, you skipped the 1000th episode special OP (We Are), it was a the same OP but reimagined. Looks great

my most fave among these openings are ONE DAY and HOPE they always bring me in tears.
So We Are, We Go (opening 15) and We Can (opening 19)are all sung by the same singer that did the original version of We Are! The second and third versions of we are! are remixes, the former version is sung by the voice actors for the straw hat pirates, and the latter version just a fun early 2000s remix version :) So if it makes you feel any better, the other ones that gave you paranoia that weren't remixes of We Are sounded similar because it was sung by the same artist :)

@@SoloRaiju I don't think One Piece endings provide any major spoilers. It's mostly crew hanging out. Plus now there's no ed in one piece. They stopped making these entirely and instead made openings longer.

Will say all caught up with one piece and seen everything and heard everything so far 24 might barely be my favorite but you will appreciate it soooo much more and the emotion and how good the song is once you get to that part

suggestion for future copyright takedowns of songs use 16 bit version of the song to replace audio. from what I've seen that avoids the copyright system while giving the gist of what's going on to the viewer 😊👍

Yeah I saw someone's video a few days later with that. and I was like oh that's much better. Yeah especially since it seems to be a lot of people's favourite ones.

Those Sanji openings came during the adaptation of what Oda called the year of Sanji during the manga; it's probably still a unique level of focus for the crew.

@@SoloRaiju yeah and some of even people who don't watch or herd anime songs liked them. Also I am in my 40 now and was watching One Piece week to week and I have seen older anime that younger ones don't even know like Ghost in the shell and Cowboy Bebop and Get Backers just to name a few.

I'm gonna do a Cowboy bebop video at some point 'Every Session'. Think it would be cool. Dont think would do well, but I i lean to wanting to watch more of the classic anime first, before new stuff

my favourite ones had basically the full thing. Cause I was reacting the entire time. So shorter ones didn’t have as long of reaction, as I wasn’t adding anything. And some for copyright. Tried to make as smooth as possible still, so glad still enjoyed

Perhaps a bit late to give the heads-up that many one piece openings after the first few tend to contain huge spoilers in them for the series haha
I talk about it in the intro. The only 'spoiler' I ended up getting was getting new crew members. But that was expected. And every new crew member met so far, it's been obvious immediately they were joining. So don't mind that. And that luffy fights Shenron at some point. Main takeaway was gonna meet 1000 new characters, so just made me more excited.
