One regret, however. Every compilation I've seen recently has the default version of op 15. No fight scene, just screenshots and Luffy running by.

Fun facts : the luffy team have lots of fun and chill during the opening songs but in the real episodes it is not what non One Piece watchers expected... thats why One Piece full of unexpected plot...

One of the things people LOVE about this series: Oda never forgets.
For example, a character seen in the background of a part BEFORE the Grand Line(main section of the world most of the adventures takes place in) ends up becoming relevant by the time they've reached the third island in the second half of the Grand Line, like over 500 episodes later. Things that seem THAT insignificant, he finds ways of making relevant that many episodes later. It's truly mind boggling.

Seeing these openings made me to actually start One Piece a couple of months ago and I'm on episode 900.
It is easily digestible and fun.
It exactly is what the openings describe through vibes, a lot of times even more. The bond between the characters and the viewer is one of the strongest point, the other one is the wordlbuilding and story, it is seriously mindblowing how great that aspect is on the long run. I hope you'll watch it one day, it really is a grand journey.
if I had to give a little opinion about One Piece, I would just say that it was worth every second I've spent watching it.
I've been watching it for 17 years, and for me it's something of incalculable value because it has accompanied me for most of my life.

Fun fact: The later intros do a couple neat things that make them a bit more dynamic. They'll show short clips from the current episode, and characters that haven't been revealed will be shown as a dark shadow until the episode they make a full appearance.

One Piece has by FAR the best story and worldbuilding i have ever witnessed, which is why it also gets constantly better and better. When i first reached episode 50 i was like this show is very interesting, when i was at 300 this was my 10/10 favourite show. But since it got constantly better i had to change the rating of the earlier episodes. If todays episodes are 10/10, episode 300 (while still being amazing) would only be 2.5/10 and at episode 50 it would be 0.25/10 compared to whats coming after. It is definetly a journey worth taking and does not suffer from the usual drop of quality most shows experience when writers run out of ideas, it still feels like everything was planned out from day 1

You should consider checking out “The appeal of One Piece: Where to Start” and “Why you should watch/read One Piece” by Super Eyepatch wolf.
Both videos are very well made, give a solid look at the series and what makes it special without overly spoiling things, and has plenty of things to react to.
op 13 is also one of my favourite. It really embodies what will happen in that part of the show.

Op 13 and 14 are my favourites overall. I can't take only 1. Theyre the most emotives for me and both the music and the video fits perfectly. Judging by a combination of music+video+emotions I would probably choose 14 but the song and mostly the instrumental part of 13 is on another level. I also like 20 so much (the singer is the one from opening 14), my top3 for sure.
Someone probably already spoiled you way too much about Ace, but that's the only thing I can tell you about the guy who was shown in Luffy's childhood with him. His name is Ace and he's not a villain. And I recommend you to not search any more info about him. Or just not search any specific info about the show in general xD One piece has many plot twists, foreshadows, surprises... many details as I told you on your first reaccion to the openings. It's better to discover it yourself.
There's a real discussion on the community about zoro and sanji, the beefing guys. Some people prefer Zoro, some others prefer Sanji, but me and (I hope that) most of the fans love them both.
Again, I think you will enjoy One Piece a lot, u look like a curious person, but yeah, start it when you feel comfortable to do it. It will take some of your time so it's better if u don't watch a lot of things while you watching it cause u gonna miss some things. Anyway I'm sure that there will be people on the commentaries trying to help you to understand or make you notice those things but... be careful with the spoilers! Having some mod is a really good idea.

It's nice and well made, but it gives me a completely different vibe than One Piece does and only puts focus on the landscape, therefore I don't really like it.
I prefer "1 second from 1000 episodes of One Piece" because this will actually show you what the show is like, without spoiling anything.
