19 re-edits later, and I am finally able to post this video! Sorry for the long wait. Apparently, Toei really doesn't like me. There are some openings that could not be saved audio-wise, so I had to replace the original songs with 8-bit renditions. The 8-bit creators of the 4 affected songs are credited both in the video itself as well as in the description.
Thought the 8bit was actually a great idea to get around copyright while also letting us keep up with the song!

Not me crying when We Fight Together came on... til this day it's my favorite opening. It hits the emotional core of what makes One Piece what it is perfectly. But also, the lyrics are so sweet?? 😭

I have watched a lot of One Piece opening reactions and I just love that everyone is so confused about Robin's powers, hahaha. But this man's Observation Haki is strong, calling Chopper a deer from the get go.
opening 13 one day and opening 16 hands up have always been my favorite openings because not only do they kinda connect to each other a few ways but they have some of the most emotional moments connected to them for me i cry every time i see them thank you for this wonderful video it made me so happy 😭😭❤
I really enjoyed watching this! You seem like such a nice and fun person and I'm definitely gonna be checking out your other videos. Also, I appreciate that you made the effort to replace the copyright-issue songs instead of just removing those sections of the video entirely. Two of those songs ("We Fight Together" and "Hope") are two of my favorite openings so I'm always a bit sad when reactors cut them out of the videos for copyright reasons.

From the top of my head, important/recurring characters amount to about 142 characters.
A lot of them come back but it's rare for them to show up, or it's foreshadowed that they will have a role in the future, that's why there's so many.
There are about 1200+ named characters currently.

Since this is about pirates, the fact that most of the enemies are marines and rival pirates.
But, there's two other pirate tiers to know about: Seven Warlords and Pirate Emperors.
The Seven Warlords are 7 pirate captains that have formed a truce with the marines/world government. The world government ignores their crimes in return for the warlords agreeing to be on call when they need their power in combat.
And the four Pirate Emperors are the four pirate captains that are the closest to obtaining the One Piece that Gol D. Rodger hid. The current arc involves this level of opposition. So, though the series is ongoing, it's clearly in the later ends of the story.

The base form of Chopper, the deer, is just a plain old reindeer with a blue nose, although he seldom adopts that form in the series. He most commonly stays in his small bipedal form when he doesn't need the physical benefits of one of his many other hybrid forms. He's basically a werewolf, but instead of a wolf its a deer, and instead of a man turning into a wolf-hybrid, hes a deer that turns into a man-hybrid.

The manga premiered in 1997, but I believe the anime premiered in 1999.

@@Ezret As a one piece veteran with 3 times rewatching I can tell you, this is show is fucking emotional and drags you into addiction. Never judge anything by its cover, its pretty dark... the darkest from all the longrunning anime ( ive watched all). Its better not reacting to it, you'll gonna cry like a baby and simping for most of the characters, because all of them are well written by making you understand their motivation with heartbreaking backstories;)

One piece is one of those anime if not the only one, that has crazy world building. Enjoy watching the show! One piece is my no 1 favorite show personally. i can tell when this show actually ends, a lot of the fans are gonna cry including me, not because it ended, but because they grow together with one piece through these 20 years and counting, and get to see their favorite straw hat crew achieve their goals. love the reaction video too!

Hmmm I completely understand you wanting to watch it on your own. I just caught up last week lol (started February). You could still do content around the series if you'd like (like arc reviews, maybe discussions, tier lists, etc... whatever you feel is right). You don't have to of course just putting some ideas out there.
If you come for the ride. Then ride and don't worry, just have fun and laughs when they come and cry and fight when they cry and fight.
If you are into lore and info, get a notebook.

what i like about one piece is how it makes me feel so much and so many different emotions. from the very first episode. I can't count how many times I cried or was amazed... or fooled 😃. also remember how I was wondering who is who in the story and how with time things started to become clear. not all of them yet but anyway. it's so amazing. this kids story makes you think a lot and want to find the answers to so many questions.
As I see by ur reaction tryiong to analyze things and appreciating the big world, u gonna love the show if u decide to start this amazing journeyl. One piece in 3 words: World-building, many different emotions, and adventure. An extra word: LUFFY. It's impossible to not love him.

Yess, no matter how many anime I watched, the Straw Hat Pirates will always be my most favorite anime team, they're only 9 people (officially became 10 in the latest arc) but their great chemistry make them stronger than many bigger pirate groups, and I love how the group looks like a family and also I love how they set aside their ambitions if it's all what it takes to save the others. Btw, I love your reaction 👍👍👍

they like showing characters who haven't played an active part in the story for quite a while just because. so yea, not saying that its a negative but thought you should know

Loved your reaction! Would like to point out that what happens in the opening does not necessarily reflect what happens in the arc. Often times a character will appear in the opening as a way of nostalgia or because they have impacted/caused what is currently happening or is anticipated/alluded to in the future. Some of the characters shown in the first opening have not even come face to face with Luffy yet.

For Robin, her power can work on anything she sees, both living and non-living, to grow copies of her body from. But, this comes at the cost that a small percentage of damage to those duplicates get transferred to the original, but only a small percentage.
also it doesn't stop at her limbs but all her body parts (like eyes etc..), she can grow wings (and horns), clone herself (and all of that either in normal or giant size version). But she can only make them on hard materials (except on one called "sea stones").And her ability is not limited to what she sees because she can create thing at place she can't see if it's within a certain range from her.

Just to forewarn, except for the G8 arc, many of the filler arcs are looked down on, especially the earlier ones.
