Why is no one pointing out that Adam Sandler can actually hit those high notes very few can do.
He sounds almost exactly like young axl
Because I would have had no clue that was Adam Sandler if it had not been pointed out lol
Well, it's obviously extremely tight leather pants.
Yup. Sandler has made some stinking films - but that voice is pretty legit.
@@Bigstrat2 He didn't say singers.
“Are you ready for bed?...are you ready for nighty night?”...LMAO 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
HAHAHAHAHAHA
🤣🤣
cheeck this ou Kid,,this is humpdy Dumdy,,and Kiefer plays😅
😂😂😂😂
Wait- was that really Slash?
If that kid has a SLAYER poster than he can handle anything lol
100%🤘
Slayer suxx😅🤘
Isn't one of the members turned Christian now?
😂😂
Slayer aren't even that heavy lmao.
Dam, Sandler nailed that voice
I was pleasantly surprised. And then I thought they were gonna' bring in an SNL cast member to play Sebas, but nope it was actually him. VERY FUCKING COOL,.
That's nothing! Watch him do a spot-on impression of Axl here...
czcams.com/video/ImXJoDd-WUg/video.html
He's talented.
Have you ever listened to his comedy albums from the 90's?
He did a lot of music.
Made that 998 a 999 ;) 🤘🏼
No
the best part is the kid rocking out the whole time, he's laughing for real
That kids like 35 now
Only playas eat tacos with their hoes Lol so what
The best part was Sebastian Bach!!!
LOL!!! I've been telling people that I saw this on SNL but the CZcams search would always take me to Skid Row performing songs on SNL. I randomly stumbled upon this gem 😄🤣😝🤪
@@warpath6666 Same. It wasn't available to view for years.
That's actually a fucking outstanding impression
I didn’t see Sebastian Bach coming which made it all the more funny, and a joy to watch.
O Z yep.
They were the musical guests that week. I'm surprised the sketch didn't switch out the roles and let Skid Row play the main part, with a special appearance by GnR. Might have been funnier.
Oh man Sebastian killed it..... he started trashing the kids room at the end
Baz just pops up lol this was great
@@ajvasta Would GnR have agreed to do that?
The fact that Axl never sued over this goes to show he must have loved it also 👍
And on that note Appetite For Destruction easily top five hard rock albums ever 🤷♂️😉
He couldn't sue anyway; he's a public figure so they can make fun of him without needing permission.
@loveutill theendoftimes yuppp
@loveutill theendoftimes i don't think u know him *THAT* much
Its because sebastian was in it. They're close friends lol
I had already lost it, but when Bach chimes in on the ABC's, I needed CPR 🤣🤣🤣
Jorge Rodriguez same 😂
Adam's keeping right up with Sebastian and Sebastian is one of the greatest metal vocalists ever.
Adam Sandler as Axl Rose though, my goodness! It looked like Sebastian really enjoyed himself on that skit.
Man , this really hits home for me. When I was about that kids age, my mom took me to the record store with her and told me I could pick out one tape. I wanted to get some kiddie song crap, but my mom was like, "That stuff gives me a headache, can't you find something else?" Welcome to the Jungle was the last song playing on the radio before we pulled in, so I was like, "Yeah. I like that song,. I'll get that." So I picked up a copy of Appetite for Destruction and took it back to my mom. She was like, " Guns and Roses? Aren't they like heavy metal or something?" I was like, "I dunno." She's like, "Well, whatever. Anything's better than that kid song crap. Just don't let your father catch you listening to it." Been rocking ever since.
😁🤘 I love that literal rocking story! 😁🤘
My 4th grade ears were blown by It's So Easy
haha.. My daughter collects actual records and loves classic rock but she came home with Appetite one day when she was 13 and I made her take it back! She's 17 now and I told her she can buy it again now.
"How you doing? This is Humpty Dumpty" brilliant
Loved it. And to hear Phil Hartman doing the narration. RIP. He was such an integral part of that era's cast.
He was one of the best they ever had. God it always bums me out thinking about what happened. 😥
That is how I get the twins to sleep.
Yeah it's too bad his wife didn't seek or accept the help of a head shrinker
Phil is a legend, my favorite SNL cast member also love his voice work on the Simpsons
Hi I’m Troy McClure you may remember me such programs as snl and the Simpson’s
Dude, Bach totally gave that kid a view he didn't need in his life. Up close and personal.
Oh man 🤣🤣🤣
Exactly! Wtf was that all about?! Disgusting!
Exactly.
LOL I thought that was a little unnecessary
Right? LOL
I remember seeing this back in '91 with the band I was in. I think we either watched it at practice, or after a gig. Someone recorded it on VHS and brought it to us to watch. We were rolling in pain laughing so hard! This was LEGENDARY!
I can totally picture a garage band watching this trying not to lose their shit from laughter!😅😅
So, did ya win a Grammy?.....duh.
Hahaha ha hahaha
🐵🤪
I was trying to see who Slash was it's Kiefer Sutherland and Adam Sandler as Axel. This is a classic
It's actually Jimmy Fallon as Slash , and he's actually playing that guitar.
Kiefer Sutherland on guitar, which he's fake-playing, but still, epic. Had you said Jim Breuer, I might have been fooled.
Arthur Vandelay It's Kiefer as Slash
@@arthurvandelay4225 Kiefer
It’s AXL not that I care lol
I love Adam Sandler mimicking Axl Rose . LMAO!
1:19 Nobody said anything about "Jimmy cracked corn and I don't care" whilst doing the Axl Rose skip, ha ha ha ha...
That was the part that always cracked me up the hardest....ever since the first airing! LOL.
OMG, that is where I lose it!!😅🤣 Thought I was the only one!
Dude I laughed out loud at that part 😂😂
If they had made this skit just one year later, it’d be, “Kiddie Grunge”, with Kurt Cobain and Eddie Veder.
Yea but Kurt blew it so out of proportion I mean it’s in bits and pieces
@@timothyhawkins5756 yeah, the skit would be "holy"
@@Figey_2022 i bet it'd still be "explosively" popular
"Daddy!"
I'd choose that over the kids version of hair metal.
Hi I'm Troy McClure. You may remember me from such children's rock infomercials as 'Megadeth Plays The Hits of Dr Seuss', 'Satan & Gretel, an adaptation by Alice Cooper' and 'Dio & The Care Bears... Journey To The Seventh Circle of Hell!'
OzzyOscy you sir win the comments section.
They sound like hits to me!!
Dio and the Care Bears... like a rainbow care bear in the dark! 😆
@@Jessica-iq6kj 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yassssss
The hard part isn’t hitting the notes it’s effortlessly doing runs with grit in that register and flowing in and out through the bridge and sounding good.
OMG! I used to have this recorded in VHS!
Adam Sandler singing like Axl and doing the snake dance was epic! 😂😂😂😂 Kiefer Sutherland as Slash is priceless!
I'd still love to have a bedtime like this one
Fun fact Kiefer plays really the guitar in that whole Clip
@@Endo-uu8mo wow. That's actually pretty impressive.
@@Endo-uu8mo But he's not plugged in. How? I'm sure he's a fine guitar player but for this skit he's mimicking (very well I might add) the guitar parts which are probably played offstage by one of the two Skid Row guitarists.
@@KTraska82i know itwas not live
@@Endo-uu8mo It was live. Like I said - one of the two Skid Row guitarists is playing what he's mimicking. Keith mimicks the guitar playing well.
I love how he does Axl's voice almost perfectly, but you still easily tell it's Adam Sandler
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that Sebastian Bach basically teabagged that kid at the end?
That kid seemed oddly OK with it...
Getting teabagged by Baz was on every kid's bucket list in the 90's.
I didn't even notice that until you said something. I had to go back and watch that part, that was kind of messed up...ha ha
Well, at least it was Bach and not Michael Jackson,
@@trif0rce_the-h3r0 It did look like he moved closer and angled his head the right way.
I’m a grown ass woman but I’d love for axl rose and slash to sing me metal lullabies 😂😂😂
Axl or Fat Axl?
Axl is axl no matter if he's fat or not.@@fudhater8592
Slayer poster in the background is the icing on the cake!!! Maaaaan I miss rock n roll being America’s number one favorite art form
Same here man.
Same! Now it seems the favored form of expression is teenagers doing weird arm movements on tik tok. I think they call it dancing 🤷♀️
I just remember when video killed the radio star on MTV and a whole generation was sitting in front of the tube waiting for the newest music vids. Now there's only pregnant teens on MTV.
Now the usa has a parasite...janice min is a korean american, the president of billboard, so this last month south korean groups have been number one, bts, black pink, got number one 4 times!! Yet no radio play, nobody knows these groups, yet they constantly appear as number one, meanwhile rollingstone is now under billboard, so is mcr, the data co pany that gives all the stats, so billboard can put any group at number one, total parasites!
@@bbbsmith2644 Wow what a rigged heaping hot pile everything has become real sad..Rock ‘n’ roll good rock ‘n’ roll still exists but it’s all underground it’s real rare that anyone gets to poke their head out and truly succeed it’s a harsh reality that I don’t want to except but it’s quite blatant. It’s absurd what you just informed me about Korean pop stars being number one in the states WTF!! Whatever they can do to push guitars further and further away from the human psyche and doing all that they can to just sweep it under the rug like rock ‘n’ roll is a genre for a now endangered species.
I can still remember when this first aired in November of 1991 and could not wait for Skid Row to play. Thank you SNL for sharing this with us again.
This was over 30 years ago? Damn!!
Sebastian! What a Powerful Voice man! One of The Best Singers Ever!
Skid Row!
He was pretty 😍
@@Sunshine-yl4vx soooo purty. He got weird lookin though. I guess we've all gotten old. 😂
I lost my mind on this one , lol !
@Sickofit November Him and Kip Winger ..whew I had the hots for him. He didn't age so well 😐
HA, they start thrashing the room at the end and slash pulls out Jack Daniels.
I didn't even notice the Jack! 😂😂😂😂
LOOKIN for this skit for YEARS!🤘
Skid Row were banned from SNL after their performance due to Sebastian swearing on live TV.
What did he say? I watched the show.
Yeah I tried looking for it a few times & no luck but something told me to look it up again & bam!!! HAHAHA funny then & funny now. I could've sworn it was Brett Michaels that showed up not Sebastian Bach tho.
I've been looking for this skit for two years. I found it by accident while looking GE Smith performances. I found gold!
He said Mother Trucker, not curse. I actually have the whole episode on VHS! :O
I Kno this jus popped up on my phone I've never seen this skit
Now this is the education our children should get
Nobody seems to notice that Keifer Sutherland was killing it on the guitar.
i noticed that and its so funy with that Humpdy Dumdy song name 😅🤘
I didn't even know it was Kiefer let alone play guitar!
@@lilyofthevalley5586 I didn't know it was Kiefer either. Love this whole skit!
@@redspice55 I was very surprised! He's really good! Surprised he did not pursue that skill!
@@lilyofthevalley5586 In a way he did. He has a few country albums out
Holy moly! The clothes, the tattoos... attention to detail 10/10. But most impressive of all was Kiefer mimicking the guitar licks, it was on point.
Keifer Sutherland actually plays guitar!! And has apretty killer Guitar Collection!!
lol not complicated all is true vintage in that time it was the newest shit but today mostly kids gives a damn fuck of authentic they look all on their Hair buy Cheap vegan Leather jackets and all had that same fake belts who never existed at that times 89-92 but mostly dissapointed is they all do it because a series 🙈🤦
wtf Kiefer plays that real in ghat clip ,hes also a musician since hes a teen
@@Endo-uu8moHe wasn't actually playing in that skit. It's plain as day to any musician.
I remember seeing this live. I was waiting for Sebastian Bach to perform that night. You know that Slash is Keifer Sutherland too...he hosted that night. This has always been one of my favorite skits from SNL.
I was wondering who played Slash lol
Everyone: How does nobody talks about how good Adam Sandler hit those high notes!
Also everyone: Wow Adam Sandler really hit those high notes!
As an 80s metal head, this was frigging awesome
We kids in the 80s and 90s had the greatest music our parents hated in music history & I'm proud of that👊👊👊👊👊👊
I had a MAD Magazine when I was a kid in the mid 80s and it had a line in there that stuck with me... I don't remember it verbatim, but it was something like: The biggest problem for the next generation of kids will be to find music that will upset parents that grew up listening to the Beastie Boys.
Sadly, they still succeeded with the pop crap out nowadays.
Ohhh look at me I had the coolest music in in history neahh
@Burlstuff so young. Unless you're kidding?
I LOVE classic rock. I was a 90s kid but grew up listening to rock from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
@@mochimochi7669 I'm.15 yet I listen too david bowie and lou reed.
I don’t care what anyone says. Axl Rose and Guns and Roses were the bomb! 🌹🎸
Axl was a douchebag but GNR do have some awesome music. November rain is probably my favorite
GNR is one of the greatest bands ever!
Adam Sandler did a great job with this one
Axl Rose hight pitch is no joke most most the singer can't properly cover his song. But what the hell man, Adam Sandler can sing like him with high voice.
Didn't expect Sebastian Bach to really show up! That was awesome!
They were the musical guests that night. They played Monkey Business.
@@tonyponchopeters Thank you now I have to look that up. Loved that song
That slash impression was great he would say it like that 🤣🤣🤣
Still more mature and badass than the music produced for "adults" in 2020.

Now we have/had Baby Metal. Everything has come full circle.
I'm not sure if the sound was actually coming from Kiefer's guitar, but I give him props for actually matching what was being played. He must at least play even if it wasn't him actually playing what we were hearing.
He has a band!
The best part is when Sebastian walks in
When Sebastian Bach puts his bawls on the kids face.... priceless
The kid moved in closer too...smh
Sandler's impersonations of musicians is the best ! Loved Bono and Springsteen
Adam has a brilliant voice and so talented! He nailed the Axl vocals.
This was the greatest skit ever. EVER.
THERE WAS AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED A FLYEEEAY lmao dead

SKID ROW it's been more than 20years since I have watched the videos (no cable) but with smartphone's I can look them up again
Seeing young Bach doing what young Bach does made me happy for whatever reason. Guess it’s the age. It’s hard growing old.
Damn, they rocked!!! 🤘🏼 I love the last when they start smashin' the room. 😂
Is it bad that I actually want this
2:32 Sebastian's Vibrato is just So crisp.
I actually remember watching this as an early teenager 13/14. The early 90’s were a wild time!
How am I just now finding this sketch?! This is beautiful!
He even nailed the dancing😂😂😂😂
Sandler is a rock God! He hit them notes!!
As a child who loved GNR this skit always hit very close to home, lol. I really was this kid.
I be singing this shit at work now every Friday juuuust before we leave! 😂 "Are you ready for nighty night?!"
Sebastian Bach would be an Instagram model with millions of adoring male fans if he were to exist in this mode today, just saying. This was an awesome sketch.
I think everyone from the 80s can be an Instagram model lol
I couldn't recognize Adam Sandler was playing Axl but I was even more surprised that Kiefer Sutherland was playing Slash!
That’s so radical, hilarious and epic moment I have ever seen!
DANG!!! These impressions were SPOT ON!!!
what the fuck did I just watch lol 😂
I actually thought it was really Axl LoL
Sandler is one of the true gifts of comedy and everything Jimmy Fallon wishes he could be ....
One second; I just want to get the facts straight:
- that is Adam Sandler doing a beautiful impression of Axl (singing included)
- Adam' s lead guitar is Kiefer Sutherland, and he' s actually playing
Okay, so far so good 👌🏻👍🏻😉 Just one more thing: are those "the real" Sebastian Bach and Rachel Bolan!? 😮😮😮
I know it sounds like a stupid question; it's just that I had no idea this existed until today and I can' t believe my eyes! 😐😳☺️😁 Ji ji... 👍🏻😉🎸🎶🎸🔥🔥🔥
Bottom line: I LOVE THIS!!! 💫💫🎉🎉🎉
yeah that's really sebastian and rachel from skid row
Keifer not really playing. When guitar notes are high, he's still on first fret. Fast strumming during long note holds...but, it's still a great mimic.
SNL is great.. thanks... rock and roll baby!!!!
I just watched this again 10 years later and laughed so hard i cried. I think this is one of the funniest skits ever. Adam did excellent, slash was hilarious and sebastian bach was a total surprise. Love it
I never knew this existed, all I ever heard was him doing Axl singing Knockin' on Heavens Door doing standup (in Toronto I think). "That one hurt a little bit" 🤣🤣🤣
@1:20 he started singing Jimmy Crack Corn and doin the runnin man -- I nearly died.
He's not doing the Running Man. He's doing Axl Rose's signature "Dancing in place," move. 😏🤘
It's about time we have this online ... I've told my daughters about it for decades, lol & the one is named after Sebastian lol
"Yeah yah Yoooooo" I died a little 😂 Adam made a great Axl

Me: It's not "rock n roll" enough-
2:45: (Rachel knocks the lamp off the nightstand + the boys start wrecking the bedroom)
Me: That's more like it!
Omg I remember seeing this when it aired! It was the best thing I’ve ever seen on SNL. Wow, what a blast from the past.
I'm 42 now and I enjoy this as much as the kid does.
Funny thing is this is real now because David Lee Roth's sister created Rockabye Baby which does take rock/metal songs but makes instrumental lullabies. I don't have children, but if I did, they would have Rockabye Baby series to introduce them to rock. Love the cameo from Sebastian Bach, he's always a treat and it was so unexpected. Kudos to Adam Sandler for hitting those high notes and really channelling Axel Rose.
We were on zrock it was wild
if you're into that sort of stuff then check out merry axemas, a guitar christmas carols compilation put together by steve vai, it came out in the late 90s. it's got everyone who was huge on guitar at the time, joe satriani, jeff beck, steve vai, brian setzer
I'd actually like to see a GNR film starring Adam Sandler as Axl
That would be awesome! 🤘
"How you doin? This is Humpty Dumpty"... "And Little Miss Muffet" 😂😂😂 🎸🎸🎸
They missed the opportunity to sing "I Like to Oat Oat Oat Opples & Bononos"
Sebastian Bach! What a voice!
