Hello again Trevor, more questions I am afraid! I have Paradise hives and use a single Jumbo Langstroth brood chamber. Although only into my second year with these hives, the Jumbo seems to provide adequate space for the queen's I have, but I am wondering if they colonies would prosper even more if I added a shallow box next spring to increase the available area for brood? Here in Provence it is difficult to judge hive performance this year, as we are experiencing the driest year for at least 10, and thus nectar flows have been limited, and some professionals are reporting honey yields down 75%.
hi Tre, I'm from Germany. I looked on internet for paradise honey hives but it's not easy to get much information about the hives. langstroth is not mine but I see there are German sizes too. do you buy it in a shop or on internet?

can i do this and put a honey super (still full of honey) on top of the second box?
Have you thought about OA vapor treatment with these poly hives? I am concerned about the hive being damaged from the vaporizer.
