Fair play to the lad, I couldn’t imagine any of the 4 previous Tory PM’s since 2010 actually saying the word “sorry”.
I think it proves that he’s not part of the ‘born to rule’ establishment types like Johnson, or a pure lunatic like Truss; characters that would never take defeat on the chin and apologise for their shortcomings.
I am a Green Party member and did not rate Sunak as a PM, but my estimation of him as a human being has gone up after this speech.

He was part of a hedge fund that used market manipulation to ensure the merger of RBS and ABN Amro, which led to HMT bailing out RBS to the tune of £45bn. Sunak’s HF was on the other side of those trades that necessitated those losses. He’s a thief to the UK public.
His newly installed swimming pool in his Yorkshire mansion required the local power grid to be upgraded. Not to mention his helicopter trips.
