So officially, the Plastic Apocalypse series has ended.
I'm unaware if he cares if anyone continues the series, and as much as i would enjoy such a thing, i don't think people could live up to Michaels projects.

These operations seem to indicate that the hover tanks are not really tanks at all, but more... Well, along the lines of heavily protected Stryker MGS systems that float.
When armour cannot keep pace of anti tank weapons, design would be wiser to not repeat the M48/M60 design style of just add more steel till it is either replaced.

Possibly. How easy it was to melt them with SABOT/HEAT rounds yet they had the firepower to pop an Abrams. However, they had to get in close to get in range of the Abrams so I'm thinking of a cavalry tank with great kinetic energy rounds. Could possibly be a cav tank due to their ability to hover without being bogged down by armor.
Yeah. But with the tech inside, they outclass our MBTs in 1v1 scenarios.
Does anyone else love the fact that there are words on the tank's barrels "Diplomacy Failed", "Black Star", and "Black Echo."
Basic tactics displayed, a simple fire mission for artillery, basic commands for tank engagements both voiced correctly and displayed, and armor isn't portrayed as invincible; outstanding! And the result of the battle, with higher casualties, because of the platoon leader's delay in withdrawing from higher, and the radio chatter sounds good! I mean literally, as other comments have said, this channel can do seemingly what noone else hardly does. Truly great work!

@@Ongezellig-American Technically they did, that's why there where different groups of armor. Hoplite was the advanced party, effectively doing recon-in-force. The others were supposed to follow them up once the battle was properly underway, but obviously the aliens had other things in mind and quashed the momentum of the battle from pretty early on.

I'm not pulling your leg when I say this has been WAY better story telling, and cinematography - than I've seen in any 'real' movies in some time. Especially the tactics, the use of music and dramatic effects like the missile launcher's lights lighting up - very well done.

I love that just guys filming in their backyard can do this. Makes me want to do this... this is just what I did as a kid just without a camera :)

I enjoyed this immensely. Superb models and minis, great voice overs and sound effects, and effective camera work and editing. You really bring toy soldiers to life, them giving a better performance than some live actors I've watched. Can't wait for the sequel to see the Aliens receive their payback.

Let’s go!! I swear every time you upload, your vfx somehow keep improving, I thought I was going to lose my mind when the jets got involved.
Love the use of Mega Construx soldiers to show the tank crews, love that the aliens still feel like a credible threat without it feeling like a “Gun, Big Gun, Bigger Gun.” trope, love how intense and soul wrenching you managed to set the mood when things get turn around at the end.
Only real thing that gave me pause is the lack of Kalythians and Xanzon working together again since in the previous episodes it always felt like this monumental moment when enemies were able to come together against the bigger threat. Granted, it does make sense that a few cooperative moments won’t erase their previous wars, just something that caught my attention.
With all that said, you were top notch eight years ago and you continue to be top notch. Keep up the great work!

How ever they are My own stories lol and yeah I still suck at making the videos lol but if you want to an actual sample of the series that I do go to my CZcams channel and go to my playlist and click operation orbital that is one of my ongoing series and it's so far has five chapters.

It all started in my neighbors backyard! We all thought it would never come to my backyard, but one dreadful day it did. All is lost,
I stumbled into this an hour or so ago as it showed up randomly in my recommended. I've now seen all of the videos in the micro wars series and let me just say, Jesus Christ the quality.
I remember playing with and watching stop motion plastic soldiers as a kid and this series reminded me so much of that childlike wonderment, thank you for this and keep up the fantastic work.

I grew up playing with plastic army men. Me and my friends played for hours in the backyard. We had rules for maneuver and engagement. We used dirt clogs for artillery. When we got tired of whatever plastic tank, ship or plane, we would set them on fire or shoot them up with pellet guns and keep them as wrecked units. It was so much fun. This film was awesome and brought back those memories.

A soldier fights not bc he hates what's infront of him but bc he loves what's behind him,friends,family,fellow soldiers,and a country or state he will serve and protect at all cost

When I saw the first of the video, I thought it was a trailer, so I got super excited, but when I realized it was the full thing, I was even more excited.

I love the lore of this series: the xanzon had a captured saurian cannon maybe the saurians had been on earth before and had planned the invasion for a long time and the communication blockage mentioned may have been for the xanzon and the kalythian to figth each other and make them an easier target also the alien generals mentioned in ep 5 that they were waiting for their air wing which means they have the ability to take on kalythian and xanzon jets or also intercept CAS missions, and these new tanks can fire at a faster rate than their predecessors, also some saurian soldiers have orange markings on their uniforms maybe they are special forces of some kind, I'm excited for the next chapter

I knew the humans needed to lose at least one battle in the series. A good animation only goes as well as it's plot. Absolutely amazing.
This is really great work congratulations the fire rate rate is a bit low for M1 tanks just saying real US Army crews would at least 4 times that many rounds down range but still you put a lot of hard work it to this did way better job than I could have and I think you are doing really great stuff here I hope you can do a lot more. I subscribed .

Already giving it a thought on doing something similar with my Corvus Belli's Infinity minifigs vs plastic army invaders as my showing work for my ongoing "Animation and Motion Graphics" course at school.
I had the "Green Men" back 8n the '80's. This movie was better than most newerr action movies. Outstanding work!
Nice work! I did a couple of stop-motion film projects when I was in college ( just after the silent film era.... ) and they are a tremendous amount of work, particularly in the pre-computer era.
