I don't usually comment on anything , though I watch your channels. Martin you were the only person I saw say Thank you to the driver. Don't know why but it's very rare people say please and thank you nowadays. So refreshing.
So true...
It costs nothing to be Nice, I always say thankyou. Yes its rare these days.
We always say thank you to our bus and taxi drivers in Liverpool ❤❤
Martin it’s so great that u know about all the old cars and what there engines are xxxxx❤❤
Never forget when I was a kid my aunty was a bit pissed & fell down the bus stairs. You don’t get injured when you’re pissed. lol. Aussie Bob
😂 that made me laugh😂
🤣🤣🤣👍 that true xx
Many years ago an inebriated friend climbed on the railway bridge at Peckham Rye, overbalanced, fell off the bridge and onto the roof of a lorry that happened to be passing below....then slid off the roof and landed on the pavement, none the worse for his experience! In fact, he could remember nothing about his adventure and had no bruises to show for it.....
@@uk-martin4905 thanks Martin. Amazing 😅
On the Buses is my grown up sons all time obsession , we'll be watching for sure , thankyou x
I've just watched loads of old episodes of on the busses, on CZcams. I love it too
I used the 262 bus for years going to school from Leytonstone to Leyton via Whipps cross, mid to late 60's
Glad one of your regular viewers won the doggy machine too.
Navy and yellow/mustard are a lovely combination xx

Another great Video 😊 lovely family. Little frank is a star. You took us back abit with the old buses😂 we loved it. Love the changes you are doing to your house. Thankyou for such a lovely Video 😊
Thanks for the memories 😊
Holding on to our parents' memories with things they've given us or had themselves....we're guilty as charged.
Still got my 18th Birthday cards from my Mum & Dad from 1978! Love my Dad's handwriting♡
I also have a Pyrex dish with the receipe for Quiche Lorraine printed on it. My lovely Dad-in-Law bought me that. Plus our knife block...they're probably 35yrs old. I'll never get rid of them.
The cutlery we still use was an Engagement Gift from my Mum-in-Law, as is some Tuperware, both from 1981.
Oh loved the buses at N.Hykham... only ever had to travel there for an Emergency Vet! This reminded me of the old 53 Route master we'd get home from Oxford Street in the January Sales. Conjured up lots of lovely memories just from that, so thanks😊
Great memories.

Outstanding 👍 Life is similar to a bus ride. The journey begins when we board the bus. We meet people along our way of which some are strangers, some friends and some strangers yet to be friends. 😀
Great video martin&Sharon used to hang on to the pole on the bus get told off by conductor mayhem after school.happy daysxx
A visit to another museum YEA ! You know I enjoy these museum visits and this one didn't disappoint. Great to see a couple of busses that I remember from my childhood, especially that two decker bus at the very end. Shame you couldn't get on that one. My brother and I used to always sit upstairs at the very front. Ah, memories. 😊

Lovely family, brighten my day up ,
Went to school, on those red buses in west london,..back in the seventies..mmmmmm...Butler...great vlog..
You're spot on Martin. Most of the old Leylands etc had what's called a 'Crash box'. They had to be double clutched to change gear, once to move the box out of gear (they were straight cut) and another to move into the next gear. The first depression was to take the load off the mainshaft to allow it to slip out of gear and the second was done with a well timed blip of the throttle to speed up the layshaft which allowed the next gear to be selected a little smoother. Now it's all synchro meshed.
I remember going on holiday from Glasgow to Butlins in Skegness as a kid and seeing all the green Lincolnshire buses bringing in tourists. The bus in the museum brung the memories flooding back :)
Really enjoyed this one, reminded me of my parents, Dad came out the marines after war and started driving double deckers from Portsmouth depot with the South down, met my mum who was then a clippy on his bus, rest is history, thank you both😊 atb Tom &Julie..

Australia here Martin and Sharon, but I was reared on a diet of old English movies and On the Buses, Carry On type comedy and series . So I get a big satisfaction when you visit these museums on all things 30s to 60s .so much that I want to come over to England and just visit these places. So very interesting. Thankyou both for taking the time to put these places on the tourist map. Sitting here with my cuppa intrigued with every second. Another fabulous video well done! From an Aussie fan.😊

Love this family🇦🇺🦘❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great review 👏 hope u are both well
Well remembered, Butler haha. I used to love those old buses , when I was young , I used to love pressing the bell, I remember saying to an Irishman that was always on the buses with his ticket machine, I want to do this job , when I grow up. My mum used to I hope you set your sights a bit higher than being a bus conductor, hehe., I think those phones in the box were more 50’s . They phone boxes always used to smell of wee didn’t they. Hope not these days with being defibrillator boxes. How times change. I think the bike was a Raleigh wisp . So spot on. Thanks for sharing today.
Yes when the factories shut down in the summer their company took them to the sea side on the bus, the employees paid during the year for their holiday. . They did go on trains as well. We had a rover 3500 and both our dads had a rover 2000 at the same time. Good job with painting Sharon, the grey would look nice.
Another great video and a trip back in time. I’m not too well at the moment and this cheered me up, thank you.
Get well soon Julie. xx
Thank you xx

THAT IS ONE BEATIFUL SOFA. CHESTERFIELD, ISN'T! REALLY SOMETHING!!!! ❤❤
We used to have cream line buses on school run omg thousand kids all crammed on it 😂😂😂😂 funny tho ,no health and safety that time in the 80s😂😂
Hi Martin Do you remember years 5:30 5:32 ago the old red rover day bus ticket that took you all over London for a set fee on the old route masters?
Loved it when I was a kid on and off the buses with my mates. 65 years old now. That shows you how long ago it was.
Looking forward to it.

WOW!!!!! THOSE UNIFORMS LOOK REALLY SMART!!!!!
Great museum, children all seem to love bus rides now. It was the norm to us when young but as today a lot of children travel in cars it’s a novelty to them getting on a bus.
I remember riding ones like these when I was young. LOVED the double decker's, we even had sandwiches of the same name.
❤wow Sharon I'm well impressed
Martin I noticed you said about having hydrangers in the garden, they are toxic to dogs not sure if you were aware just looking out for the doggies 🐾
