The two main things I want are more story mode, and a casual mode. Deckbuilding is my favorite part of the game, so a story mode would be great to grind for more gems, and a casual mode would be nice since I'd be able to play some more crummy decks without getting thrown by eldlich the minute i make it into gold.
Battle pass needs to be shorter or they need to reward us more... I reached tier 100 in just a few days and the rewards are underwhelming
I wouldn't say shorter, but better rewards and harder to earn
I more or less just did my dailys and reached 100 yesterday
They need to cut the time on it by like 40%. I've had it maxed out for weeks and I still need cp to craft more staple
I assume that when you say shorter you mean you also want it to be cheaper
As long as they can keep players tuned in then this game will grow stronger

i came back to yugioh after like 7 years of not playing at all because of master duel, and i love it. i can still somehow compete with practically the same synchro deck i used to use back then. imo, all they have to do is fix the progression issues, add more incentive to play through events or something, and just straight up ban herald of ultimateness, then the game would be almost perfect in my eyes. a few more synchro cards would also be nice

We need a system like League of Legends ranking system. We need an actual ELO system. First off we need to have higher tiers above plat 1. We need a diamond tier, then we need a Duel Master tier, then finally a "King of Games" tier, where only the top x amount of players can reach. Instead of this "Win x games to advance to next tier" from diamond and up you should have to reach 100 "Duel Points" or DP for short. Each win grants lets say 15 to 25 DP based on your proformance and win streak. Once you reach 100 DP you enter your promos where you have to win your next 3 out of 5 games to advance to the next tier. Once you reach Duel Master instead of reaching divisions its simply just keeps tracks of all your DP earned and the top let's say 500 players with the most DP reach King of Games
Loving the game but from the looks of things Masterduel is going to have it's own banlist so no separate TCG/OCG lists which sucks as let's be honest, this game is currently running off a slightly older OCG banlist. In short, only TCG players or those who like TCG format are the only ones to suffer.

The game is fun, but it keeps crashing on mobile for some reason... I just randomly in the middle of a duel will get kicked to my homescreen and the game has to boot up again. It's annoying but I have been able to enjoy the game still.

It’s very clear they released it earlier than they could’ve but it works. Now they just gonna keep it going after the honeymoon period
Couple of things I hope for in the future:
1. Make win rewards a little more generous. Tickets are pretty crap and the gems you do eventually find are so minuscule, it’s insulting. I know this is a typical free to play model to try and coax players into buying more gems, but the least Konami can do is make it less obvious.
2. Introduce more solo stories. I love the idea of exploring individual archetypes and expanding on their lore (Monarchs, Megaliths and Elementsaber was just _chef’s kiss._ ) But not even a quarter of the archetypes have been covered and there is still so much archetypes I want to know more of. Heroes, Cyber Dragons, Madolche, Six Samurai, Time Thief, Nekroz, Mermail, Dragonmaid, Aliens, Burning Abyss, Sky Striker, Ice Barrier, True Draco, Dark World, D/D, Danger, Spyral, UA, and so much more. I hope Konami decides to add more, because it’s a breath of fresh air away from the anime characters for a change.
3. Keep a constant flow of cards coming in. One problem that past games, even new ones like Link Evolution, suffered from was lack of updates in regards to cards. As soon as a new expansion was released or a new archetype got released, the game already felt out of date. It was that bad, that Legacy of the Duelist had to be updated, not once, not twice, but three times, to include all the new card packs and anime storylines, and it still became outdated! And it’s already starting with Master Duel, since there is OCG cards missing in this game. Konami needs to keep up with this or Master Duel will be going the same road.
4. Fix the banlist. Need I say more?
If Konami can do all of this, then this game has a future. If not, then let’s hope Duel Links is still popular.
The problem with "fixing the banlist" is that this is a global game. People playing are a mix of TCG and OCG players, and both versions have different banlists. They're trying to satisfy as many people as possible, and just copying the TCG banlist will upset OCG players and vice-versa

The first few hours I've had fun with the game, but after only seeing eldlich in plat, constantly losing to floodgates (mainly skill drain), having to loose against "infinite" negate boards which decks like full power ada and drxtron provide, also having to deal with the most cancerous cards (maxx c, emptiness and the buster lock) and last but not least the fact that so many ftk's exist makes me not enjoying the game as much as I would like to.
I really need our format and a best off 3 to really enjoy this game, since playing best of ones in the OCG format is just the worst case scenario for me.
It would be nice to have another online ranking system that divides the meta decks with casual decks. Half the time I see rogue decks made by players that don’t stand a chance against the top 5 meta decks everyone new and longtime players use. I want my buddies to play but with everyone setting up their 5 negates or floodgate field on first turn for 5min, it really takes the fun out of the game for them.
I assume rank duels are what it’s like to play at locals (with some cards being banned in tag... ahem maxx c...) but I would assume that majority of the returning players would wanna get into the game and actually have some fun going back and forth with the archetype they enjoy playing with... going back and forth with hand traps gets a little tiring at times....
You aren't enjoying the game because you aren't putting in cards to help you defeat the meta. Or you're too stubborn to run a top deck to compete. "I want to play Blue eyes but the game wont let me!!!" "Ban Maxx C and Golden lord so I can play whatever deck I want without hand traps because those are lame!"
@@durkadur27 I'm not enjoying the game, because I personally just hate the OCG format. It's fine if you can play in a maxx c format and are enjoying it, but I personally just think that it's unfun. I played the post Maxx C TCG format for years and don't won't to loose it, just because this is what I personally enjoy the most.
@@bl00by_ I honestly don't get that. There's at least 80 viable decks and tons of counter play. Ocg has more freedom and you are complaining. Tcg bans everything fun like maxx c and floodgates and hand traps and most decks are at such low power level it's horrible.
@@durkadur27 The game consists of FTK's, stupid floodgates like emptiness exist and I have to play like 9 outs for 1 single card. That's just not the ygo I want to play and have played for the last couple of years.

Master Duel Meta is probably the next step, playing in online tournaments in general

@@Mulcam29 what? Cards has bugged text and images, story mode bot need to think 5 minutes after a move, pvp is slow too much time, not well optimizated on various devices, switch too. Don't cope.
@@kos4793 I'm just speaking facts, not coping. The game is barely bugged, solo is fine, timers are great (Get good btw), etc.....
I'll keep waiting for proof on the game needing major changes. Till then, get good.

I'm most enjoying the solo mode. The development of archetype lore is something I didn't think we'd get on this scale. Plus, you get to enjoy archetypes you'd never considered before. You don't need to figure them out cause it sorta holds your hand. It even gives you 3 variations of the deck to play (though they're rather rough interpretations) so you don't need to build it yourself unless you really want to. I hope every month or so they keep adding to this, mostly because seeing Inzektor Digital Bug combo off was like... wtf is this and how is this possible?! Give me more!

This game made me appreciate Magic the Gathering. I don't understand what's fun about watching your opponents take forever on their turns. This game sucks.

If the game released with formats like classic mode for the old school players and those who enjoy the back and forth with resource management, this would have been close to perfect. I'm sure some of them got turned off by Drytron setting up 5 negates, and probably won't give this game the second chance when it implements these formats.

What I find the most interesting about it is that they unbanned Max-C, and I think the reason why is so that you can play with non-meta decks and still have chance to win because you drew your combo. Really fun ngl.
I mean it's been unbanned in the ocg they didn't really unban it for us. I think their department over their just doesn't see it as a problem card

Maxx C is shit. Overrated card. Yes drawing is cool but most decks will destroy you in one turn even if you have nibiru or some handtrap that should stop them.
Maxx C does nothing by itself.
A good player knows how to play around most handtraps and will go for the OTK.
It's even worse when the opponent has an unbreakable board + Maxx C.

It seems Konami that Konami treated master duel player fine but when in comes to duel links players they're not I mean wait like 4 months to stop reboot error and Konami responded with"it's not the game fault it's your microwave"
the only thing holding MD back is konami, MD as a game is amazing, MD as its own standard tho needs a lot of work
Man I wish there was a game like MD that looked great and played as fast as ygopro with all cards and all formats, reflecting the actual rules, banlists, and card pool of the tcg/ocg. Man oh man, I wonder if there is a game like this that exists? Something that has a side deck, that has all chain for bluffing, that has the TCG SEGOC, that allows shuffling of hand, a separate queue for tcg and ocg, etc. Something where the summon animations don't cover the entire screen and don't delay the game. Something that doesn't take 30 clicks for each confirmation to do a combo. Mah oh man, is there a game like this? Oh wait, there is! It's an unofficial simulator but since it's not official, it doesn't have the popularity.

Not as many cards because most of the card pool is unnecessary and will add bulk to a new game.
That makes zero sense. It would make no difference adding a few hundred cards to a game with thousands of them. You could litteraly call any card unnecessary. The banlist is quirky but meh at best. Game is great but matches and alternative ladders are needed

Also imagine having an even harder time pulling desired cards just because you added 50+ hero ur fusions nobody plays.
And that would delay the launch

This service is also to attract new players in the hopes to get them invested into yugioh long term if you don't streamline the card pool, and push the better and more important decks. They'll probably waste their time and quit.
Also this service is far from finished more modes are coming, so those cards maybe added later when a mode is built to give them purpose.
But honestly stop complaining about the 10000 bulk cards that you don't even play. It's senseless those cards already made some irl sets bad, no need to make the master duels sets bad too

Control stun based decks and some other decks have just so many god powerful monsters being summoned that it dosnt even matter if i open up with 2 ash blossoms its not fucken enough coz i went fucken 2nd.
