I'd definitely appreciate if you made a Part 2. There's many amazing cards that doesn't see competitive play since they're stuck in a mediocre Archetypes. "Tachyon Transmigration", "Emergeroid Call". "Crystron Halqifabrax", "Batteryman Solar" (awesome support for Thunder Dragons and Chaos) and so on.

Convert Contact is an amazing draw 2 spell card that is sadly locked to Neo Spacians. Neos/Red-Eyes fusions is kind of cheating if we're looking at what they can make.
Folgo, justice fur hire. A draw 3 link that can summon a archetype piece from the deck upon summon would be broken on a competent archetype that doesnt lose to a single imperm
A part 2 would definitely be good. Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi is a great example of a broken card in a 'bad' archetype. Infinite summons out of GY, that's something any deck would want. Sad it's stuck in a Soul Absorbing Bone Tower mill deck...
My prewatch prediction: Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi. Infinite graveyards summons, any deck would kill for that ability

Hell it's hilarious that Halq is worse in his own archetype because of the main deck's own restrictions
Not to be that type of guy, but ActUaLlY, it is a great card as cards like genex undine become either a 1 card quariongrandax, a one card phoenix, a one card phoenix AND dragster, a one card lv 9 virtual word sincro plus handloop for 1 (and also a dragster if you have sulfenir in the graveyard)
add a deskbot 001, coltwing, and auroradon to the deck and suddenly you can make whatever you want. Iâve seen a 1 card combo with VFD, +2 draw, and borreload savage
Fun fact MR4 was better for Crystrons that MR5 specifically because Halq made the quick-synchro activation of the other Crystron tuners legal, but if it chained on them they would resolve as much as possible, being unable to Synchro since there was no zone but get the extra body.
This in return would allow a huge synchro play with the Tuner-Synchro monster that Halq gets out of the extra deck, the Crystron tuner and the new body (and their trap Crystron Impact allowing this play every turn without the need to go into an other Halq).
Even the restriction it puts to the tuner summoned from deck is tailored for Crystron tuners, because they use the effects during the opponent's turn so that restriction would have already expired.
The only problem with the card is that R&D thought not locking into Synchros for the rest of the turn OR not summoning specifically "Crystron" tuner would be acceptable and not cause any problems (with link climbing being the root of all these powerful links)
It was a dreamlike, almost custom-card lvl, support for Crystrons that turned into "let's build a Link 2 monster to support each Extra Deck Mechanic" that also lead to Electrum, Verte, and the less played Bujin link.

The only bad ones in my opinion are encode, decode and powercode, even the link-2 ones are good
Even in Ancient Warriors they have some of the most powerful effects in the game but restricted to their archetype. Cao De - Goyo Guardian Borrowing of Arrows - Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon Guan Yuan - Cyber Dragon that pops a card if the opponent controls more Three Visits - ROTA
They have insane effects that if they weren't tied to their archetype, they could be considered broken.

Oh hey I play Dinowrestlers!
Other than Pankratops and maybe Systegosaur, no one really plays Dinowrestler monsters.
A boss monster with 3500 ATK and all protection based on the battle phase, thatâs honestly pretty hard to Summon...yeah you might as well play Ultimate Conductor Tyranno instead of Dinowrestler Fusion.
Coelasilat is the only other one that sees play in synchro dino decks, it enabled the early herald setup and it's still used in some garden rose maiden combos.
Don't forget the insane Harpie's Feather Storm... That card is super insane
And guess what, Cynet Codec gets even better when the secret divine beast attribute code talker realeses, right?

Naturia Beast, Naturia Barkion and Naturia Exterior, broken card in bad archetype. Also Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade a really unfair monster.
I actually like having strong cards locked into certain not so decent archetypes. Mainly is because it allows decks to be unique, and not being abused by generic meta deck. As well as not having that card banned.
Code Talker player here! To clarify, Cynet Codec doesnât prevent you from searching an attribute for the turn. It prevents you from searching WITH THE EFFECT OF Cynet Codec. So if you draw into mining with heat soul, you can search any attribute. So even more broken in a vacuum. :D
Scrap Raptor: May I join in on the fun?
Convert Contact is a spell card that lets you draw 2...at the cost of having to control no monsters and forcing you to send a Neo-Spacian from your had and deck to the grave.
Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo, a non-once per turn stratos that pretty much searches everything in the god awful winconless mess that is ninjas. It still has no way to truly be abuse, especially in its own archetype, but maybe one day konami will give us ninja support to make the deck at least playable.
While they were never meta ninja basically abused the wind condition of every other archetype and did stuff with Zexal and Rhongominiad.
Emergeroid Call, one of the best counter trap card in a really bad archetype Fckn Roid.
Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade( not hard OPT) One of the most broken monster in my opinion that cannot be summoned or barely by his archetype.
You cant use it with Speedroid but guess what else you CANT use it with? Actual wind attribute roids. Dammit konami should just say Spredroid but they somehow use non-win roid
Deskbot 003/001 are also notable I feel, as well as auroradan. All three of the cards with halq can just set you up with crazy boards in their own, and crystron, deskbot, and M.P.B. donât see any play

That card is OP as hell and the way it works, every archetype would live to have it. Negate everything before this card, and shuffle it back into the deck! Can't beat that

U missed fluffal wings wich is draw two and a search for any fluffal or edge imp saners that activates in the grave and fluffal patchwork wich searches an edge imp and poly with no cost

Not going to mention how good Volcanics suddenly became when the solitary Blaze Accelerator Reload was printed? Wish Volcanics or Pyros got some love to the extent of other types like Winged Beasts or Warrior.
Yeah, Payne 96 needs his wish to be granted by konami. I think Volcanic needs fusion too since this archetype is from GX era. Make fusion spell like red-eyes fusion that can use material from deck and good fusion monster that can cheat out volcanic doomfire from hand or GY as floating effects.
Mysterious triangle is actually so good for how terrible aliens are, give my boys more support Konami make aliens tier 1
Halqifabrax is really good card from the bad Achtype
crystrons are good not like red-eyes which is a bad archtype with broken cards like black metal dragon and red-eyes dark dragoon and red-eyes darkness metal dragon
Crystron actually have other great cards aside halqifibrax. Like phoenix banish the entire backrow on the field and in GY. This is good against heavy backrow/spell-trap reliance archetype like phantom knight, altergeist, paleozoic, sky striker, etc. Don't forget cyrstron has traits which can synchro summon during opponent's turn, disrupt their plays with quariongandrax who banish up to 3 your opponent's monsters even in GY as well. Also since this card is synchro archetype and have synchro tuner, they can make quasar, blazar or any good synchro that needs synchro tuner + synchro.

Feel like there should be some mention for UA Powered Jersey. Ridiculous equip spell for a bad archetype. Double battle damage, two attacks, returns itself to hand when you bounce a UA to your hand (which you almost always do with UA monsters anyway). Itâs a very simple game that can catch people off guard and steal wins. Combine it with UA Dreadnought Dunker and you get a monster that has 3500 ATK minimum, can attack twice with piercing and double battle damage, and an ability to pop any card on the field when it inflicts battle damage (not once per turn) and you have a very good equip spell on a very fun but bad deck.
As an actual Dinowrestler player, yes Pankratops is very good. It's a combination of Cyber Dragon and Exiled Force

For hire isn't a bad archetype it's just that the archetype is too fair

I mean, there are a lot of cards like that in a lot of archetypes. Pantheism of the Monarchs single handedly made a tribute summoning based deck tier 1 in 2016. Gishki Aquamirror is crazy. It's basically a free ritual from hand if you use the same material as the ritual you summon and goes back to the deck for repeated usage. I think the Simorgh Field Spell is crazy good. It basically makes your entire boss monsters over 3k giving you that weird spot where is hard to get rid of them and basically let's you play your Simorgh big boys constantly. It basically does everything for Simorgh but hey, it is Simorgh what I'm talking about and even with that and the link monster protecting your big boys, they are not that great.
You brought up red reboot so I'll bounce off of that.
One of my favorite things about that card is that if it's played, you better win the game that turn. It's doesn't just put the user on a clock, it's all or nothing.

I've found an ocl list centered around making heatsoul with 1 card starters like lady debug and cyber gadget and fill the rest of the deck with good handtraps and traps, and slowly win the grind game with the advantage that heatsoul provides or just win on the backswing with accesscode
ocg lists like that makes a lot of sense considering their metagame and the effect maxx C has on it, where slower more grind/advantage oriented play is encouraged

It hurt when you mention ancient warrior is a bad archtype.Yeah sure the life before shulong is hard but nah not a bad archtype: Three visit, guan yu, sunmou, lufeng and even liuxuan, zhungkong, zhangde they ant bad at all (in case my normal summon live to activate it eff :)) , just like any beast-wingbeast-beastwarrior fun inner struggle- normal summon- and before the tribrigate come to rescure i of course)

Agreed. Red-Eyes Insight basically left arm offering but for spell/trap and the cost is not too much.
Crystal Abundance is a hard board wipe (non target sends everything on the field to the GY) and an archetype Soul Charge for Crystal Beasts

I would argue Cloudian Altus beats all of them. Aside from the usual (bad) stuff you'll see in it that all Cloudians have, its unique effect is, and I quote, "You can remove 3 Fog Counters from anywhere on the field to discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand."
Yep, randomly rip a card from their hand for the cost of removing 3 Fog Counters from anywhere that's neither a hard nor soft once per turn. The only reason why the whole Smoke Grenade combo was more consistent is literally just because Cloudians as a whole is awful. The second Cloudians get a good searcher + Fog Counter spamming card (that isn't slow as hell) Cloudian Atlus will make Smoke Grenade look like Bone Mouse in terms of viability. Not that that alone will make Cloudians as a whole good, but this specific card can be a turn 1 wincon damn near on its own. It's Delinquent Duo on crack.
Red eyes Dark Draggon belongs to the not used dark magican and red eyes arctypes and Cryston Halqigibracks because crystons donât get played.

It juat shows it doesnt take one card to fix a deck. The collection of cards needs to be decent and work well together for the one card to be busted. Like orcust when dingirsu came out that made orcust meta. Its good before dont get me wromg, but it is more like an engine before dingirsu came out.

Shaddoll fusion is too plus of a card for the archetype to ever fall off completely. Even without schism the archetype would eventually be an engine in some meta or tier 1.5 deck
