I believe you CAN use branded fusion with verte, since verte only copies the spell effect, not the restriction.
They should just stop making foolish burial with extras in fusion cards. Konami forgot y future fusion was banned

@@Moriartyisreal but Verte itself locks you from ss after using its effect, while Branded Fusion says you can't ss the turn you use it except fusion. So there's no way in which both cards can be used in the same turn, and from what I've seen you're literally wasting resources if you make Verte to copy the effect of Branded Fusion.
It seems like a case of DPE being more "balanced/ fair" than Dragoon when just comparing the 2 themselves, but when looking at what comes along with them, Dragoon's carrying 3 undeniable bricks while DPE has "Pot of Greed but from the GY" as a material and a better fusion spell, making the DPE package as a whole better for most decks even if it loses in the "My boss monster can beat up your boss monster" department.
Dpe only pops. If you d.d. /banish it that's it really...

In my opinion what makes the DPE package broken is specifically celestial: if u didn’t have a free draw 2 on the crack-back it would still be used, but it wouldn’t be splashed in literally every deck
It's all of it, better "bricks" that give you follow up, less restrictions on the fusion spell, and the interaction with Scythe. All of it combined makes it better than Goon.

If the Destiny Hero cards were literally Normal Monsters, people would still use the DPE engine, as much as they do now. Why? Because most games are decided on turn 1.
@@crashban1996 dragoon is better in that department, it's more that dpe is generic. Even if all your plays are stopped, you'll still be able to active the fusion spell from hand while dragoon needs verte to work. 2 bricks vs 3. That 1 extra brick also does a bit of work
An overlooked possibility to nerf the DPE package is to ban celestial. The draw 2 is way too good.
Lol You are terrible player if you think celestial is the problem. you need to have no cards in hand to use the draw effect of celestial
@@Mugen1874 and you are a terrible player if you think that "restriction" matters. Most players will use up their hand in a combo anyway or just set backrow to ensure an empty hand. About 80% of the times I've faced or played DPE, celestial resolved no problem. Take away that draw 2 for free, what other destiny hero will you play? Disc Commander? That would require you to revive it instead of DPE, making it instantly more balanced.
You really are a terrible player. Everyone can just max fusion destiny to 3 even if celestial gets banned. You still have malicious and denier as decent substitutes for DPE materials

Konami needs to get their link 2's under control, they always cause problems. Be it needlefiber, verte, electrumite, union carrier. It's always a link 2 that causes problems

I wonder if things would be different if DPE came before Dragoon. It seems to me that, as a boss monster, DPE gets walled by Dragoon. Can't destroy it or get over it and Dragoon still gets to do everything it wants.
As a boss monster in a vacuum, yeah Dragoon is much stronger, but when you put it all together, its not even close. DPE is way more relentless and the interactions it provides with cards like PK, Scythe and striker are not something dragoon can replicate.
In pure hero it plays around dragoon like a boxer taking it out with k.o

Fusion Destiny is 100% the problem. Even if Verte was hit on the banlist people would still be main-decking 3 Fusion Destinys along with 3 Pot of Prosperity.
The problem is that verte is the key to the car in all these situations
DPE is basically a VERY slightly nerfed version of Zoodiac Drident, but as easy to summon as the Neos Fusion engine.

Make verta requirements predator plant only. This would have prevented it from being so accessible.
Branded Fusion can still be sent off Verte. But i cant make DPE off Verte and then drop a Branded Fusion.
And if you do the first then you can't DPE, looks like Konami wasn't so asleep at the wheel as some people say. Also, banning Verte will just make people seethe over who topdecks Destiny Fusion instead.
@@admontblanc 💯. I was the biggest hater of Verte until I pulled DPE. Now I realize why Verte is kinda necessary to prevent a sacky format.
Other solution : ban dpe or change the card text that it can not bring itself back and just a one time thing while also only using 1 copy
I don't understand why verte can copy red eyes fusion but can't copy branded fusion?
It can copy branded fusion, the issue is just the best target for branded fusion is only good because its effect allows an additional fusion summon - which won't be possible if summoned via anaconda because you can't summon anything else after resolving its effect. Hope this clears things up a bit.

Pretty much sums it up. Dragoon wouldn’t have fallen off the face of the earth if REF was good and the materials where so crap to play.
I agree 95% I get the feeling that verte anaconda may receive a ban but probably not anytime soon. It reminds me of cards from the orcust and sky striker era where either something similar would b released that’s more effective or it would end up getting a ban

Update in OCG Anaconda is now banned so it could happen
Hot Take: Ban Celestial. The free draw 2 cards allows slower deck to get a lot of comeback. The Special Summoning is fine cuz you have to DRAW it, while celestial works even if ur DPE was tributed.
They should ban verte and limit fusion destiny, verte isn't that good in predaplants anyways and limit FD to make sure only hero decks run it because just 1 FD and 2 bricks aren't worth it in other decks if you need to hard draw it.
I'm getting tired of Fusion Summoning from the deck. We learnt in the Arc V era that Brilliant Fusion was a mistake, because it was used in every strategy, in the game. Countless decks topped with it because you get a Double Summon, a Light Monster milled (usually Trick Clown) and a Level 5 body on the board. The game is better now that Brilliant Fusion is banned so why are we having the same discussion, 3 years later, with other Fusion Spells that send materials from the deck?
Because Komoney needs to keep printing decks that surpass the previous ones. Now that multiple decks fusion summon from deck, we will more than likely start seeing even more decks that fusion summon using the extra deck in the future.

Because fusion is the worst mechanic in the game (tied with rituals). These summon from the deck spells are needed, or nobody would play fusion

@@stylesheetra9411 it’s been awhile since an entire format was pure links. The format has been more diverse than ever for sometime now. Rituals are the one mechanic that need the most support because your running a boss monster in your main deck and not the extra deck where it’s more convenient

Make Verte's materials 2 or 1 predaplant monsters or restrict it to plant types.

Future fusion was, but not because of fusing anything but because it was practically a 5+ monster foolish burial

Actually DPE is only good when it's played together with the scythe, or in some specific decks that can play together with it like striker or swordsoul (if you decide to play DPE ofc), but in shaddoll however, dragoon seems to be a lot more valuable since DPE's special summoning from the GY during the standby phase just conflict with the winda already, and the deck needs more negates rather than removal cards (punishment + n'tss are enough) :)
Worst comes the worst you can activate that REF if you happen to draw it, then you can still nadir send apkallone and you have a winda, in which case REF + nadir is definitely better than FD + nadir
Almost all topping Shaddoll invoked now play DPE
@@locklan4874 yeah because DPE doesn't have that hard restriction as Dragoon, but DPE's special summon from the GY conflicts with Winda (in which case you can no longer special summon unless you get rid of that Winda) :)

@@paradoxgrey8753 i'm not talking about shaddoll players make winda on the 1st turn lol, i'm saying that dpe after it dies and you already have winda on the field, that means next turn after resolving dpe's effect you cannot special summon any more monsters (unless you get rid of winda but who does that)
I'm may look into DPE, but at the same time I'm building a Spellcaster/Dragon hybrid deck.

@@VORTEX___ fusion destiny locks into dark heroes, so if it was turn- wide then that would mean no mask change tricks to dodge targeting for Stratos, no sunrise or trinity plays, it would be so bad.

You can. Verte copies the spell effect of branded, not the restriction

Technically you can, you just gain nothing special from it because the combos all require more than one fusion summon, and both Verte and Branded Fusion contain a conflicting clause that restricts summoning after being used. So yeah, you can use Verte to send Branded Fusion, but you can't use both on the same turn.
You can it just isn't good. The reason why branded is good is because you can make albion which let's you fusion into anotjer fusion monster and verte prevents that.
And mirrorjade as a engine isn't good for most decks since you would have to run other fusion cards in the extra besides mirrorjade which means that it's only good if you play a bigger dogma, despia/albaz or tri-brigade engine.
@@admontblanc iirc, restrictions from the fusion card Verte copies don't transfer, so it'd just be Verte's restriction.

The only way someone would be deluded enough to think cards like Verte/Fusion Destiny/REF/DPE/Dragoon aren't absolutely toxic for the game is if they're coming off the high of dropping a month's paycheck+ on them.
The problem is verte. No one would be abusing dragoon if verte didnt exist, but now with dpe fusion destiny also needs to go
If you can’t beat a deck that runs Dragoon it’s because you aren’t running hand-traps and board breaking cards. Dragoon has never topped a YCS or a remote duel extravaganza… he’s easy to beat.
Verte is the problem. Fusion Destiny could probably use an errata to make it so you can only summon hero monsters the turn it's used instead of limiting you to dark heros after it's used. I don't see DPE or Dragoon as problems if they're limited to their own archetypes. DM, RE, and Heros aren't strong enough to really impact anything with their boss monsters, especially Heros since they really can't run as many hand traps and negates without bloating their deck.
Have you dueled against someone who surrendered on u when you fusion summoned "Destiny Hero - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer" either in a deck of "non-Destiny Heroes" or by using a spell card that doesn't says "Destiny Hero" in its text?

I really wanted to have fusion destiny banned instead of Verte. I like my predaplants so its sad to See that banned instead of the problem
Fusion Destiny is less problematic than Verte, but Verte should just have its requirements changed to use Predaplants instead of two effect monsters.

This mean people have to use the old scorpio combo to get it out and thats a 1 in 40 (4 in 40 if you run 3 lonefire blossoms but no one would do that) and a dead card in your hand if you happend to draw the other predaplant. People would either have to play 2 predaplant monsters in their deck (since no one would use just one) or they'd have to hard draw it. Thats 3 dead cards you could get in starting hand.

I'm actually curious, I know its not seeing play but can you chain DPE to heavenly zephyr miradora? Miradora says the card targeted can't activate its effects and miradora can't be negated

You can chain DPE to the effect activation of Miradora because Miradora has not resolved there yet.
Only after resolution of Miradora will DPE not be able to activate.
Because DPE is a quick effect, Miradora will be too late.
Nah. First you activate the effect to summon miradora from hand, then the effect to target an opponent’s monster activates. The issue here is that DPE can just chain its effect to pop itself and miradora or any other card, meaning DP is no longer on the field at resolution. If it popped miradora and another card, it would still be fine since miridora is no longer on the field
@@admontblanc You have to actually read the card. First it activates the effect to summon, then the effect to target and negate triggers on summon, which DPE can just chain to and pop itself

Unban Majespecter Kirin to support Pendulums if DPE is okay. Pendulums are not meta
Change Verte to only using Predaplants as materials and change Fusion Destiny to only allow hero monsters on the turn it's used. Heros and Predaplants aren't meta either.

Just ban DPE or Verte. Banning fusion destiny will also hit Hero deck and that's unfair to me as DPE was meant to be play with Heros.

I agree that Verte isn't the problem, at least not in the DPE engine, and at least not right now. I would still like to see Verte getting banned though, because as long as it exists, they have to balance every Fusion spell around the fact that it can be abused by Verte. Also, the Noodler comparison is not the best, there are how many cards on the banlist because of Noodler? Jet Synchron, Destrudo, O-Lion, GUB...
@@LexAnarchy Yeah because calling a fusion not "fusion" or "poly" is too hard to do. Konami could make a own name for cards which can use the material from the deck so they can't say whoopsy we forgot to not name it fusion/poly.
And the needle comparison is valid, most tuners besides jet and maybe o-lion would've gotten banned even without halq.

It can win you the game on it's own if played well, and with as splashable as it is right now in non-hero decks, it's pretty cancerous. Needs to be restricted to only heros.
