Anki Overdrive | Fast and Furious Edition

- This is a super cool race track from Anki with AI cars that can be upgraded with weapons and other super powers! The Overdrive Fast and Furious Edition comes with a special track and 12 guardrails, which are nice to have for extra speed in the curves.
I highlight in the video the good and not so good things about this race track. I got this set on sale for $50 USD! At that price you don't think twice before you press the BUY NOW button!

Is it possible to drive off the track or does the AI always keep it on? As in, are the guardrails for show or are they functional to stop cars flying off track?
The guardrails are doing a good job at keeping the cars on the track but once in a while a car will get ejected by an opponent. This is cool! I think it would be even better to race four cars at the same time. Thanks for watching!
I was doing some research on this set vs HotWheels AI. Anki has the superior track by far, but HotWheels has physical controllers for the cars, and the cars are 2x bigger. Hard to say what is better. For the super discount clearance prices both seem to be a good buy.
Yah it is really hard to say which one is better. You would need to try them both. For $50 USD on sale, this set was a super deal and like I said, driving four cars at the same time would be awesome!
Hi, Iam looking at this for Christmas for my son could you tell me what you thought of it? Also can you only ever race the app ? Hope you can help out before I purchase this item as it does look good but I don’t wanna be wasting my money thanks
Hi Diane. You need the App to race at all times. If you can find this track on sale, like I got mine for $50 USD, I would say go ahead. But don't pay the full price. I saw deals at Bestbuy this week for the Fast and Furious Edition. If you get this, make sure you clean the wheels often with the provided pad AND keep the race track SUPER clean using a Swiffer time cloth. Very important. Thank you for visiting my channel.

I do think my son will really like it and it does look really good I just thought I would ask for advice first from yourself and thanks very much for getting back to me , how long do the cars take to charge? And how much play do you get from each charge please thanks 😊
@@dianelinda1000 half price is excellent for sure. I really don't remember charge and playtime but it is not an issue. Remember to keep the tracks and wheels clean.

Do the cars work well
Yes they do but...like I say in the video you MUST keep the tracks clean and clean the wheels with the provided sticky/magnetic pad on a regular basis. Thank you for visiting my channel.
What app do you need?
You need the Overdrive App but I think Digital Dream Labs took it out because they are working on a new Overdrive system since they bought the technology from anki about 3 years ago. Thanks for watching!

I just bought this for my son. I can't get the apt to work
I never had any issues with mine. Try using a different device to run the App. Hopefully it works. Happy New Year!
my son got this for christmas and the fast and furious version is discontinued! we had to pay 2.99 for the regular overdrive app and its still not working properly or the cars are clearly too old and not keeping their charge or something. so disappointed :(
Like you said, your cars are probably old (old box) and the batteries are not good. DDL now offers a repair service for Overdrive but I guess you would have to pay...
I have this at my house it only takes 8-10 minutes to charge and you get 25 minutes of play time
