About the RE4 Remake Ashley one, that is actually a carry-over from the original game. I think she did it any time you do a headshot, but you can see it easily when you're on the sky-tram, anytime you hit one of them and they fall, Ash would do a little happy dance behind you.
No more puns
Another Ashley one is with ledges, if you stand close or below a tall ledge, Leon will help her up/catch her from the drop. Only appears a few times so might be easily missed if youre running through the levels
I just wanna add that Ashley's little fist pump when killing enemies is also present in the original RE4
One of my favorite video game details is in hit man world of assassination,
If you play the “isle of Seagal” map and disguise yourself as an entertainer, 47 will be forced to use his super senses as long as he is wearing it.
This is because the entertainer Disguise has a blindfold, making him unable to see properly.
That’s cool
It also messes up some dialogue from the constant but still overall cool
" why the mirror dosent mirror " " why isnt math mathing "
these type of lines never fail to make me laugh
I honestly love that the WWE2K series has specific commentary especially with 2 different versions of a wrestler facing off against one another to where it feels like the Timeline and Universe just collapsed on it's self and how commentary just accepts it as a thing
To be honest when hearing part of the dialogue I thought Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheller were commentating
So good.
It wouldve been extra great if they wouldve got gene oaklund to commentate for the hulkamania hogan
You ever watch WWE nowadays? Par for the course. I miss Stone Cold Steve Austin.
About World at War detail, you can find the similar detail on the German side in final levels. Like in "Heart of the Reich" and "Downfall", you can find many Wehrmacht & SS soldiers with bandages on their head and body, show that the Nazi was really desperate that they send out the injured and wounded soldiers to (futilely) defend their city from the Soviet.
From what I understand, one way in which games mimic reflections is to create a mirrored of the room and spawn another character who does what your character does, but mirrored. If I understand that correctly, then maybe with super bear adventure, they just didn’t create the mirrored room correctly, or maybe originally the actual room looked like that but they decided to add more toilet roll and remove the cookie but forgot to do it in the mirrored room
I ain't reading all that
@@SussyGussy69420 is not a real mirror but a copied room with stuff they forgot to change.
@@SussyGussy69420 Then go away and don't make anybody waste time reading your pointless bullshit
they do this because of resource management
I like to think it's on purpose but it's probably not😂
Reflections are indeed an extremely expensive render technique. The way of simulating it is creating another inverted copy of the world and another asset that mirrors the movements of the player.
The differences can be some sort of easter egg or a bug generated after updating the world but forgotting to update the "reflection" after it.
Lol why would they do that? Just use a mirror
One of the most satisfying hidden details in my mind is in Detroit Become Human.
At the start of the game, Connor tries to stop a rouge android named Daniel. When Connor goes outside he finds a hurt officer that needs help. You can safe him which will cause your popularity to go up. But that’s not the detail I’m referring to.
Fast Forward and Connor investigates the building that Markus broadcasted from. While investigating, the officer you save will recognize Connor, leading to a satisfying cutscene.
What makes this crazy to me is that 99% to me who played the game never saved him, yet the devs included this detail anyway. I for one am glad this was in the game.
That game has a lot of cool details. At the broadcast tower (the same chapter where the officer recognizes Connor), if you go to the rooftop of the tower and look over the railing, Connor will step back as though startled. He only does this if he dies from falling from a tall height in a previous chapter.
Ooo.
I did not see the officer for some reason lol
The dialogue during the brief interaction will also change depending on whether or not Connor died after saving him
In dead island 2 There are some conversations you coud miss between the other survivers before and after completing side quests one is when sam B talks about the main characters in the first game 🙂.
Man, I just gotta say it's so dope what you're doing. I know you probably did this as a side gig to hang with your son, play video games, and earn some extra money, and it makes me happy that you've managed to make it work so well for you. All the best man, I'll be watching!
Real time reflections are extremely expensive to process, to make a fake mirror, game devs usually just duplicate the room & make a clone of yourself in that room.
Clearly devs forgot to update the fake mirror-room after they edited some props in the actual playable space
They even forgot to add water to the bath tub
For the unique commentary in WWE 2K23 there are few more examples of the commentators recognising a wrestler facing themself, for example if you pair up John Cena '03 with regular John Cena, the commentators have special dialogue for it.
The same also goes for Undertaker if his modern self faces off with Undertaker '03
He did the Cena one in a video already, if I'm right.
Detail: In Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game every charcter blinks except Jack Sparrow (Cursed) and also when a character pick ups a cursed coin and they turn into a skeleton. Also when you choose Jack Sparrow (Chief) when he blinks you can see his fake, painted eyes.
1:50 reflections in video games is very expensive. how mirrors tend to work in new games is that your actually see another bear being controlled by you and there is just and invisable wall between the 2 of you. my guess is that your looking into what the bathroom used to look at and the devs forgot to update the reflection
I mean Mafia 2 did a great job for it's mirror reflection
Prey in 2006 had great reflections and then the reboot had bad ones lmao
@@bored-z2397 it's actually a strange one, older games don't seem to have as much of an issue
@@klayman2 I don't think Prey 2017 is a reboot. Still, they really should have made the game be named "NeuralShock" or whatever.
At least the rest of the game is still gold. Prey 2006 is hampered a lot nowadays, especially with its unresolved storyline.
@@michaelandreipalon359 lol it's literally a reboot, reboots cut ties to the old games and start over. I loved 06' Prey but couldn't bother to finish the 2017 one, it bored me.
7:12 no only luiz does that in the mercenary but he also pray when getting on the 2 mine cart with leon. IS a rare encounter when he does it because most of the time he wont do it and ik because ive been playing re4 and been restarting the game to get all achievements
The water cans in Dead Island 2 are less for cleaning up blood and more for cleaning up the toxic goo you run into as well as putting out fires.
The cookie in the mirror reminds me of an Easter egg in A Hat in Time. In Queen Vanessa's Manor, you're not allowed to use hats but the dweller mask isn't technically a hat so it's free game. If you use it in the manor (and especially if you use the camera badge to put the camera at weird angles & use the ghost cheat to access the unused floor), you can find lots of secrets including messages, spider webs, an outline of the corpse of Raz from Psychonauts, a shaking red eyeball, and... extra cookies.
To continue with world at war, something similar you notice in the Russian campaign is that towards the end, you’ll come across bandaged up German soldiers fighting you
The tune from tiny Tina might be a reference to her intro in borderlands 2 when she sings and goes pop goes the bandit
Did you know in Hogwarts legacy the first class you go to is charms class and in the cutscene you can see the major spell Harry learn in the third movie and book expecto patronum is a written on the board behind your character.
i cant belive we waited so long for dead island 2 just to see finger clipping though the canister in first person.........back in my days games were more Loved by their developers
Oh no a fucking minor thing that people won’t notice for their first or second playthrough makes it automatically trash.
Hogwarts Legacy has just introduced a new arachnophobia-mode that replaces all spiders with a new model that has rollerskates instead of legs. I find this really clever, as its a reference to the Boggart-scene in the third Harry Potter movie where Ron Weasly has to transform a spider into something funny and he gives it rollerskates.
There is "red rum" written on a airlock door in venice beach at the military base in dead island 2.
Some of the toilet paper rolls are actually VAMPIRES!
A detail in Saints Row 1 is that when you go into a tunnel or underpass in a convertible, the radio echoes.
5:00 Stacking!! it's so cool to see it mentioned; I LOVED playing the game as a kid. like trying to do the hijinks and seeing what each different doll does.
Yeah its really cool
I actually broke the RE4 Remake on my playstation once. I was on the chapter where we just made it to the nest (won't say too much in case spoilers) and there is a gate on the left side of the big room on the first floor. I did the 180 gate glitch to see if I can bypass it or not. I bypassed it... and you can go through the entirety of the tower with ZERO enemies. But once you hit the Salazar boss room. The game is in a never-ending loading screen glitch cause your not supposed to be there at the current chapter.
So, in regards to the mirror in Super Bear Adventure, there's this trick some games use where it basically creates a faux mirror illusion, where there's two of the same character moving in synch with each other. What seems to have happened was that the reflection of the bathroom was based on a slightly older rendition of the actual bathroom, but while the actual bathroom was changed, the reflection wasn't, leading to the error.
Did you know that in Arkham knight when your in the Batmobile hold down the brake, acceleration and the boost to do a really fast donut
(It’s not much but it’s fun to do)
I’m pretty sure I heard somewhere that in World of War, some Japanese soldiers scream in Indonesian, meaning they were forcibly conscripted
In Call of duty WaW if you look at resnov's finger an the beginning its with a bandage and at the end of the game its a heald wound
Dude I watch this guy everyday keep up the great work
Wow, seeing Stacking again brought back so many memories
I love that you always seem to give us ONE detail for free at the beginning of each video...I love you Captain!!
I found a neat detail in the new vampire shooter redfall depending on who you play as your character has diffrent skill levels of playing instruments found around the map jacob and remi have modest piano skills able to play simple tunes and basic melodies layla has no concept of the piano and just mashes keys and devinder is an expert able to play a full on song in the few seconds he has to jam out on a nearby piano i think it also extends to diffrent instruments like the guitar but im not sure
The Ashley fist pump as actually a call back to the same gesture she makes in the original.
Pulling off a headshot in the OG RE4 will cause Ashley to fist pump.
I loved Stacking, its quite a relaxing puzzle game with an interesting concept
All ways good to see a hidden video games details video on my fyp
did you ever notice in Tiny tinas wonderlands that when you first get princess butt stalion the castle is lit up but whenever she dies the castle is basically devoid of all life which i love
6:26 been doing this since i started, out of pure curiousity, ive done it on all floorings and walls, if you do it in the hotel. the water dries up and reveals the blood once again. and you can even see the water gather up and slide down the walls
There is a detail in dead island 2 when once you complete the game the picture on Emma’s room changes and you can find it behind the bin, not sure if that’s anything great but I found it quite interesting
I haven't watched this guy in ages but wanted i love your vids
@Captain Eggcellent, in older games that ran on older hardware, instead of a working mirror with a real-time reflection, you would often see the same exact scene mirrored over, with the character also mirrored, doing the same animation. This can be seen in games like the original Silent Hill 2. I'm guessing that the Easter egg with the mirror in Super Bear Adventure was intended to pay homage to this older technique, while also having fun with it at the same time. It's a sort of meta Easter egg within an Easter egg
I totally forgot about Stacking! That was such a good game!
Those hammers more sound like they're playing London Bridge over Mary had a little lamb. Though i think like some nursery rhymes sound a lot a like it sounds very similar.
I'm not sure if this has been featured yet but the wow signal in GTA 5 and the alien camp in Sandy Shores.
1:40 one more thing: Shicka (The chicken plush looking backpacker with you) will have her default skin in the reflection regardless of what skin you have on her. Might be a bug, but it's pretty interesting.
Stacking reminded my of higgly puff heroes!! damn that shows is cool.
Hey idk if you covered this but I haven't seen anything in all the videos I have watched (a lot of them) but in TONY HAWKS underground 1 and 2 Mike Vallely does a different no comply (skateboarding move) then everyone else. Its like one of his signatures.
Great video this one dude
maybe the angry moon in bendy and the dark revival that's a reference to majora's mask, or unless you did that one already, lot of easter eggs I know, but don't know which ones were already covered
I remember when I was little I had a hell on a cell wrestling ring that came with Hollywood Hogan and Sting
Yeah Ashley did that in OG RE4 during the cable car section on the way to fight the big cheese
Everyone always talks about how Luis crosses his chest but nobody ever talks about how he has his own music with a Spanish flair.
The mirror is probably 'reflecting' and older build/beta bathroom layout. I think they forgot to update or it's a nod to something I don't know.
Hey Captain Eggcellent, I don't know if you covered this or not but I got a funny little detail from a game I like, In Silent Hill 2 when James is wielding The Great Knife he will drag it when he walks but when he goes to pick up an item he holds it like a regular weapon, thought I'd tell you this.
Generally to make a mirror they just reproduce the scene behind a transparant wall (you control also the character in the mirror but without collision normally)
In videogames mirrors are not mirrors. You have to go and clone the space and put everything there. More than likely the bathroom was changed further after the reflection part was completed.
In dead island 2 there is a slight Easter egg that is across from the Stirling hotel its the "LONG PORK GRILL" the name is a call on cannibals... in a game about killing zombies.
For Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, there are many references to pop culture in the form of red text on legendary items.
You late to the party? This has been a thing since the first Borderlands game.
@@brawler5760 Sorry, my first borderlands game was wonderlands
Theres a detail in star wars Jedi survivor that when wearing the wanderers jacket BD will go inside of the backpack.
At the beginning he says it plays "mary had a little lamb" but we all know the song is "london bridge is falling down"
good content, like always 👍
Whoo i noticed that in Stacking. Love that game
as a borderlands fanatic i find your videos so good
In magicka2 u can find the moon staff from sailor moon hidden in some bushes
That Stacking game reminds of The Higglytown Heroes.
A detail I liked:
In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, travelling between planets will normally require The Mantis, the spaceship that you fly in, to jump to hyperspace, all except for ONE trip. When travelling from Koboh to the Shattered Moon, or vice versa, The Mantis will not jump to hyperspace, as the two celestial bodies are close enough in proximity, making a jump to lightspeed unnecessary.
Some other interesting things on 2k23 if you have certain superstars against each other there will be dialogue about their history
In Redfall after saving the fire station there is a npc sitting in front of the lockers and when interacted she will recite a line from a popular Vine video
Idk if you did this one but in hydroneer there is an easter egg for lets game it out
In diablo 3, you can possibly find a dungeon that has clickers and runners from the last of us series and I was cool when if first found it but I don't know if you can find it anymore but it was a really cool Easter egg for the diablo series
a similar easteregg as the japanese one in WaW can be found during the russian missions later in the campaign. if you look at fallen enemies, you'll find more and more that're already injured and have various bandages on them. late in the war, like japan, germany was desperate for soldiers so they forced soldiers that were already injured back into combat
8:28 -these glasses might used in HCTM mod
In Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons, at one of the houses, that npc will reference Santa Clause. I don't know where the house is but in order to get inside is to change the seasons to winter and climb in the house.
In Rainbow Six seige in the house map u can find a Green slide and if u go in in with ur drone u can find a Red Balloon
In watch dogs 2, in the final cutsene we can see a possible reference to the memz virus
The names on the stars in the Hollywood Boulevard in Dead Island 2 are the names of the voice actors
Can you jump onto the shelf and the wrongly mirrored items? I‘d like to know what happens to the mirrored bear when you jump onto the toilet rolls that aren’t in the mirror.
Got some easter egg that i think not been covered in any of yours videos. In rainnow six siege, if you go to nighthaven basement you will find animus machine that used in first assassin's creed
In tails of iron there’s a enemy in the mole battlegrounds called hulk molegan
That pitched "Did you know" in the beginning 😅
I have an easter egg idk if u review but in the xbox 360 the sports the camera version 2 there is an achievement call rick roll with rick Ashley on it
Weren't you the guy who posted that image asking "Why he got dem glasses?"
A detail I came across recently is that in Star Wars the force unleashed, when you force grab an enemy they will try to grab ahold of the wall, a box whatever and if the can reach it they will grab on to it.
Not exactly hidden, it was part of the marketing before the game released.
5:53 “nah this is to funny 😂”
Having 'reflections' actually be a 2nd copy of a room has been around for a long time and isn't just because they didn't have fancy graphics back then but because actual reflections tend to be a lot more intensive than you'd think. Always makes me want to break through to the 'other side' though out of curiousity even though you usually can't without cheating.
In Mario 64 DS, that's how you get one of the stars. By playing as Luigi & getting a flower that lets you pass through thin walls so you can pass through a mirror in Peach's castle.
🎶Tina had some little bombs Little Bombs LITTLE BOMBS!! Tina had some little bombs and they went KABOOM!!🎶
There’s a termantor reference in doom if u fall in the lava found out watching theradbrad
The mirror not mirroring is probably an oversight from the level designers
Maybe the mirror is just a nod at find the difference games.
in RE4R, Ashley's Knight armor visor will come down when you aim at her
@Captian Eggcellent the mirror question. Mirrors do not work in Android on unity because of limitations. its the same engine and limitations the Quest 2 has when making games on Quest 2 without PC requirements. its because of unity and android not being nice to eachother.
I really need to get RE4R and one of the Call of Dutys set during WW2 or something. Nothing like aiming down the iron sights of an m14 (that's the right gun, right?)
if you're gonna get a cod game set in ww2, get world at war. its the best one. (also, thats an M1 Garand)
On the one with super bear, was anybody tried to move about the bathroom by looking through the reflection only? Like try to grab the cookie for example?
In RE 4 Leon will change his gun stance with a pistol depending his distance from the target
the mirror probably doesnt mirror because they made the mirror room in a previous verion of the build. it also could explain why there is not water in the bath.
I believe the reason why the mirror in super bear adventure doesn't reflect properly is because it's telling you the reality of mirrors in video games. Mirrors aren't reflecting anything in video games. The devs builds a replica room and character that mimics your movements leading you to believe that it's a mirror. Some games remove mirrors completely to skip having to build replica environments for the sake of illusionary reflection.
