Thanks Lindsay for tying this pattern. I’ll have a go at tying it and fishing it at Loch Insch. 👍

You are welcome Simon, Loch Insch was a great venue, tight lines buddy.

Very keen fly hook and all. The vise clamp is intriguing to the denial of a complete picture. What I cannot see I’m designing.

Lindsay Simpson Thank you sir, my apology for being a pain. I keep forgetting the search technology available.

Is the competition spec more to do with the hook configuration? I see you can by a gauge for hooks, for competitions. I'm not sure I will ever be able to get into a competition, but if I do I would like to understand the requirements. I would tie a number of different body colours, blue would be a good colour here. Great stuff Lindsay, you know how much I appreciate your time and effort to help us all out.

Its hook size and overall fly length. All depends on what rules you are fishing to though as we fish to IFFA and FIPPS so two different sets of rules.

Hello Lindsay, I hope you are well. I too used different colour threads for the hotspot .. fire orange being most effective … but I will give the colour spot resins a go …. happy days … atb Jim

I got it from Funky Fly Tying, I think their shop is down at the minute though. Troutline.ro do coloured resins they are excellent.
