American Kancho master here. I've studied with some of the best like Steven Spiegel, Buck Norris, and Broose Leigh. I'm very disappointed that closed pincer crab style is not represented. Just because the style was inspired by an all you can eat sea food buffet doesn't lessen it's importance to the modern Kancho scene.

When I was a summer camp counselor in Japan I was abruptly introduced to the kancho, when I couldn't give piggy-back rides to all the campers.
