- This is the monthly test of the Hamilton County, Ohio Outdoor Warning Siren System. This is the Thunderbolt 1000T located on top of the Greenhills Community Center on Winton Road. Unfortunately, by the end of this year this siren will be replaced by a American Signal T-128, as will all the counties older sirens like this one. It is a shame that they are getting replaced, but at least they are getting replaced by a good siren. During this test, you can hear the blower running. It operates correctly in Attack Mode. Some of the Thunderbolts do not operate correctly in Attack Mode in Hamilton County. Growl: 0:06; Alert: 2:37; Attack: 4:37.
This siren's replacement is now in place. It is an American Signal T-128 located down the street. More than likely this siren is now decommissioned. - Zábava
That's too bad they replaced this one! Not only are T-Bolts the best siren ever invented, but this one was still in excellent condition, plus it had a super fast rotation!
Love the echo on this, kinda sad that this siren got replaced
That echo, is amazing! Great video and one healthy siren!
I love the growl!
Thanks Andy. It's now taken care of.
Yep, chopper level 5, 8 RPM, I was sure I could hear this from my house!
Awesome video. This is a very healthy siren.
Does anybody know what kind of blower this one had? The blower box was dude mounted and was smaller than normal.
@carexpertandy Thanks Andy! I recorded it from the basketball court behind the Community Center. This was the best place because there were no trees disrupting my view.
What were the sirens I heard faintly in the background?
attack mode sounds legitimate. awesome video!
Is that a Federal Signal 2001 sounding in between the Alert and Attack signals?
@ACAPENETRATOR Hamilton County's older sirens (mostly Thunderbolts) are getting replaced with American Signal T-128's. The T-128's are also good sirens. It is sad that the Thunderbolts are getting replaced, but at least it is with a good siren. I have a video of a T-128 on my page.
whatever man. they just replace it OVER AN OVER
@mohkfry Thanks! It did sound great. It is a shame that it is getting replaced. The T-128 is the next best siren after the Thunderbolt.
Great video! Sucks they replaced this bolt tho.
The only sirens I can think of that are nearby are an T-128 and a Federal Signal 2001.
@nickrusche Yeah, a lot better than the 2001. The only 2001-130 i know of WITHOUT pitch wavering problems is the one that was installed in Kouts, IN. All the others in the area have pitch wavering problems. About half the County is 2001's and the other half is T-128's.
Reminds me an awful lot like the Tbolt close to my house. Same setting and rotation speed.
@Oldiesmann Thanks!
8rpm?
i love the echo!
@Jpressman8 Thanks Jason!
Talk about getting there in time
Why'd they have to replace? it it's working perfectly
They updated the Hamilton County Siren System. One reason they replaced them was the fact that they did not have battery back-up in case of a power failure.
wow that one looks new!
it does indeed
I think it was removed sadly
0:06 growl
2:37 alert
4:37 attack
Why does Hamilton county have to do a growl and it spins at supersonic speeds and like 200000000 years later the actual test happens
we dont know they dont do growl anymore anyway
Awesome
Too bad it had to get replaced with another boring old T-128
Thunderbolt sirens sound fantastic in the videos
Time to update this video description. T-128 has been installed up the street
has this siren been removed? I seem to not be able to see it on aerial view
@@ianssirensproductions7418 Yeah it was removed a few years ago
@@carexpertandy man :( That sucks
I thank you for recording the system before all it was removed/inactive
This siren almost sounds metallic robot-ish... but it's really cool, though!
That siren is fast. ;-;
0:13 it stopped so fast to ;-;
I remember green hills had an SD10 next to Johnys Toys and that was about only 300 ft from this thunderbolt. I always wondered why they had two so close to each other as a kid.
The SD-10 must’ve been their old siren, the Thunderbolt wasn’t installed until the late 90s, they bought it used obviously. They most likely wanted a siren that provided better coverage than the SD-10, and couldn’t afford a brand new siren like a 2001 or T-128.
@@carexpertandy The SD tens did not give proper coverage to Winton woods park from the surrounding communities I read a few years ago it's why I'm surprised they didn't replace that t128 on Springdale and Hamilton avenue that's been gone for a year.
@@cin426 Let me ask this, do you live close enough to that intersection that you find there to be a big gap in coverage when the sirens are tested on the 1st Wednesday?
@@carexpertandy I drive past it every Monday for work and it's not there. I don't live over there. I hear Fairfield 2001 and Springdale t128s
@@cin426 I took today off of work. I was running some errands around Colerain, and decided to drive around the New Burlington area before going home. So I couldn’t find a new T-128 installed anywhere in the area, but the fact that a little stub of the pole from the old T-128 still remains has me wondering if they’re still planning to install a replacement siren at the same location, but there could be all sorts of delays…
that rotator just like 1 mph or 1 kmh?
that rotator its fast
Rotation is measured in rotations per minute (RPM). this one appears to be set to 8 rpm
@@thespiritstingray9359 ggvvgvvcv vvcvv vbvggh ok
237 for people who skip some of the video
I love
Sounds like TunnelBolt
8RPM
Side mounted*
8rpm roatater
Ok
Cool it's to fast but I think if the thunderbolt went to slow it would be nice
Here you go. czcams.com/video/d9rRSY0dRIU/video.html
