I feel like Reno is just so fun because he is so damn versatile. Like, you can make a build out of a minion from any tier.
Wrath Weaver, Saurolisk, Goldgrubber and Baron or Brann are just some examples, and playing around with this versatility makes him really fun in my opinion.
Had a game where i triple on tavern 3, discovered gold grubber and instantly made him gold. From there i taverned up and got 3 more gold grubberes the next two turns. Didnt take long to triple most other slots. It was insane...
reno is exactly how hero powers should be
He also can make Hogger pirates work easily. I had so many games where i made a hogger gold and went nuts from there
@@Whiskypapa I did this as well ended up with 7 golds 2 of which was an non-buffed tide hunter and my gold grubber was so early i ended up with like a 250/250 gold grubber
Sina my most fun game in the entirety of battlegrounds was early Hoggar with Reno, by far, had a Brann too and kept buffing things, had that windfury pirate around 110 attack or something, it was really unfair against the lobby lol

Any build that relies on very few active build components will always be disgusting with Reno, assuming you can live to get the key components.
I got a triple whelp and wax rider, used the golden on the wax rider, and got the 4/4 buff a drake card from the triple. I used this to jump all the way to tavern 6 with only losing once and then getting an early triple kalegos. Absolutely nuts early game carry that lets you push without wasting mana.

He was looking for macaw which would have made taunting it a bad choice, didnt find it so he taunted it with the argus

Battlegrounds does not literally cast mass hysteria. If it did: attack order would be random, you could attack allied units, taunt would be ignored.
No Macaw in the whole game. I'm starting to think that there are times where a certain minion from certain class is not on some battlegrounds games. Happened to me on a mechs game and I couldn't find an Annoy O Module.
My favorite Reno strat is to force dragons hardcore and hope to triple into a Kalecgos and either win hardcore or die
Had multiple good reno games. Golden bran + murlocs is the shit
All my 2 mana reno good games were, turn 3 buy cannon, upgrade cannon.

Got an early triple and picked Shifter Zerus. Next turn it became Kalecgos. The rest is history.
I won with Reno the other day, Turn 1 murloc token, Turn 2 level, turn 3 bought 2 wrath weavers, sold token got lucky not to lose, Golden Wrath Weaver turn 4 played 2 demons, almost went undefeated, lost one close game. Only got one other golden for rest of the game, but it was Soul Juggler

Got an early golden Brann while in 8th place. Came back to get 1st on the strength of a Saurolisk, Harvest Golem, and Voidlord at 50/50+ stats each. Beat all the degenerate beast builds. Glorious.
Man I was about to rage about how Kripp was wrong about Battlegrounds being the same as Mass Hysteria.

11:00 Mass Hysteria ignores _taunt_ doesn't it? Battlegrounds doesn't ignore _taunt_ so _stealth_ should work. Just make _stealth_ be the opposite of _taunt_ in Battlegrounds; a minion with _stealth_ won't be attacked unless there are no other minions on your side of the board
Or until after it attacks (revealing the minion).

@@hotmagmaproductions It would be fine as long as they don't print ridiculous cards that have stealth, or create any ways to *give* stealth. And stealth should absolutely be removed after the stealthed minion attacks
@@shawnames6832 I don't really see the function in that, I like the novelty but it seems quite gimmicky for the sake of just adding a new feature. How would it interact with cleave and red whelp? Feels like it would be more unfun to play against than it would be fun to play with.
@@hotmagmaproductions It interacts exactly as normal. Random effects have always been able to hit stealth minions. A stealth minion can't be targeted by a regular attack. Minions that would have stealth would be designed to have effects that trigger when they attack (most likely). It gives a player more options to control the order of their effects without always having to use taunt.
I love how when Reno was released they thought it was worth 4. Every patch has reduced its cost until its finally just literally Zero and people are finally saying "meh he is decent now" lol

I picked reno, rushed to tier 6 just by upgrading taver and not buying anything, i was left with 4 hp left. Bough pirate ship, made it golden and i won a game in first place

considering this pace, next Reno update - transform minion into golden and give you 2 gold
Reno is also insane with Gold Grubber especially if you're not having a great game to that point. GG will save your game even if you don't have any other goldens. My last Reno run I had 2 golden Gold Grubbers a turn after I hit tier 4 cuz of my HP and getting super lucky. It was one of the best games ive had.

You could've given Goldrinn taunt with a Houndmaster the same turn you did it with a Defender Of Argus. So you could've had a +2/+2 & Taunt buff instead of +1/+1 & Taunt.

I remember when Reno was first introduced and him saving 2 gold and whatever you mightve spent rerolling to get that triple seemed so busted on paper.
Now he saves you 6 gold and whatever you might spend rerolling for a triple ~and he still isn't amazing~.

One thing I hate: You're second to last, you have to fight first place. And since blizzard can't do pre-algebra math you somehow just get swap to fight second place right after first place. Even though you're basically dead last, because I don't even think the game take into account you're the new last place.
Hearthstone is not random. Blizzard has never publicly stated the game is running off of RNG. The players said that. The game runs off of 100’s of pages of coding. When you noticed the game screwing you, it wasn’t rng, it was an algorithm.
Blizz’s goal is a 50% win-rate. Why? Human Psychology. Humans quit things that are either too easy or too hard. Quitting players means less revenue. The game will try and end your win streaks!
Match-ups are rigged. The game searches for classes that oppose yours. Switch classes and you will get new match-ups. Try it, you’ll see it’s true.
On a win streak? The game will search for opponents that run cards that oppose yours. Want to see for yourself? Make a secret mage deck. Within 3-5 games you will be matched up against flare or secret eater. Play a deathrattle deck, you will be matched up against Priests running mass dispel within 3-5 games. Go ahead and try it, you’re going to see it happen and say, “WTF, it does happen!”
Ever get mad against that magical top-deck from your opponent? The game rigs the card draw too. Similar to playing Mario Kart. When losing late, the game gave you the magic mushroom to catch up. The game will try to help the losing player catch up. The game analyzes what cards are in the decks.
Think. Does Blizz care who wins? Nope. It is a business. Profits pay the salaries and stockholders. They use human nature and 100’s of pages of coding to make a fun, profitable, rigged game.
Has Blizzard ever said the game is random? Nope. Even the cards that say “discover” aren’t random, the game chose those cards based on what’s happening in the game. Ever play Zephris? It instantly assesses the game, it basically exposes the coding. Blizzard will never say the game is random because it would open them up to liability issues with tournaments and prize money. Like I said, the game is fun, but it’s also a fraud.

Playing a beast build and you want a single taunt and you ignored the hound master then buy Argus instead? Dude, I don’t even know what you are doing. This happened numerous times when you play battleground games, you just can’t make a plausible excuse on that. This is ridiculous.
Parrot is such a bait with the beast build, you get goldren then what? You dont get to taunt the Goldren because then your bird is litteraly a whacking stick if it dies to theres really no point
Um you can (i.e. should) taunt a third beast. You usually can't get golden goldrin, in which case you can definitely be outpaced by others if you don't have parrot.
