#HearthstoneBattlegrounds #Kripp - Hry
The principle of giving héroïn in a safe environment such as clinics is not to get the users to feel weirded so they quit, the point is to give them first quality product (less overdosage or death because of cutting drugs with some other things) second is to give them a safe place to use it (less physical accident and medical staff around in case of overdosage)
The thing that make them quit is not because it's weird to get into a clinic (users could easily steal or even kill in case of withdrawal, going Somewhere won't stop them)
The users quit because they are around people specialized in helping them as soon as they ask for it, people that they know for a while and trust since those people work where they're using
But more than that : dealers cannot make a profit anymore since it's easy to get it for free, thus they don't have incentive to "create" new users, so a diminution of the number in the long run
Those two factor got to drasticaly lower number of users but also a death
I worked in a méthadone place when i was younger, all the staff dreamed to get autorized to copy that system which is so much more effective
Please don't use, if you do you Can seak professionnal help as soon as you feel confortable with it, you Can even seak help not to stop but to be safe as you use
I just want to add "the country in Europe" is Portugal and the clinics are meant for drug users, which means that the medics there were specialized to help those people. Plus there is a system that re-integrates the ex-drug user into society, gives them jobs and means to keep them out of the bad habits.
Pretty cool initiative if you ask me.
I think the weirdness argument is partly a good argument for why people haven't taken advantage of the system to begin using in the first place.
My favourite part about this video is when he started up the game and immediately started talking about cocaine

At 13:13 Kripp says Jesus! I am not a superstitious person... but I am a little unnerved at the exact moment he said Jesus. This video increases the streak to 2 videos with a use of the Saviour's name.
When you believe in gods or other supernatural entities you are , by definition, a superstitious person.
God bless you good Sir
I can't even imagined what stoned Kripp would be like. He's already so mellow a fellow, I can't see it doing much to him. XD
comatose or giggly, those are the options. I am guessing, in a good setting Nr. 2
Hey about Sweden legalizing all drugs, it's a complex subject but has worked very well, the thing is they don't just sell it in pharmacy, to buy it you have to follow psychological help, they basically treat their addicts like sick people while most countries treat addicts like guilty people.
Edit :
This comment contains false information, please do not take it at face value, I have made mistakes and thought I knew the subject more than I researched, I was thinking of portugal and said Sweden, my point still holds up but I encourage anyone reading to do more extensive research
Sweden has the worst crime rate of all the Nordic countries though, so idk how it correlates to a healthier/more functional populace
@@JD-qo7hm You're shifting the level of analysis. The point isn't to ascertain whether drug decriminalization fixes all other problems in a society but whether it solves the immediate problems of drug abuse and provides a better and more cost effective solution for the individual and their community, possibly with ancillary benefits.
Drug abuse is a health issue, but in most countries it is treated as a criminal issue. Ample research shows that criminalizing drugs is extremely cost ineffective and fails to address the root causes of drug abuse.
@@JD-qo7hm and what does that have to do with the statement above?
Coclico Coco Sweden is no where near legalizing all drugs, they have the strictest drug laws out of all of Scandinavia.
@Georg Tolstoj the Netherlands haven't. They aren't really progressive anymore. It's still forbidden, only small amounts of softdrugs for personal use are tolerated. This was revolutionary 30 years ago, hence the reputation, but other countries like Canada or Portugal are further nowadays.
"Drug dealers in Canada are kinda nice people"

"There's winning, and there's winning in style."
This story with heroine took place in Switzerland. The addicts were provided not only clean heroine and clean needles, but they were also helped by the experts at those clinics to get these people back on their feet and be part of the society again. They taught them skills, so that they can find a job, gave them psychological support and they were not treated as garbage (as it sadly usually happens..). They were treated with love and care. Something everybody in this world wants and needs.
They were treated for what they are. Mostly lonely and abandoned people, who are sick. Addiction is a actual sickness. It is not just a state of mind. And this method (unlike the fucking "war on drugs") actually helped to drop the addiction rates by a huuuuuuuuuge amount. Yet no other country implemented that method.
Makes you wonder...
I enjoy all of his videos. But the ones with a topic conversation are just *chef's kiss

3:30 it's also important to note that any sort of harm reduction situation like that provides access to resources to help people with addictions stop using. If you're there anyway, you know your life is falling apart, and if the support is there you're far more likely to take it, especially in a destigmatized environment.
On the whole heroin for free thing. This happens in the Netherlands. You get methadon, not because its less cool. But because its easier to regulate when its gov. supplied and easier to recover from.
Well methadone isn't exactly heroin, it's what they use to wean addicts off opioids and make withdrawal easier. It's used even in America.
@@Argiopocalypse92 The main reason is that they can also provide help to those who want to quit, drug dealers don't want you to quit.

His take on this was comical "They stop doing it because it isn't cool anymore" rather than people, for the most part, don't want to be addicted to heroin.
There was a Vice doc just like this week about how they dealt with the drug use in Portugal. I'd seriously recommend it: czcams.com/video/9dU5yiKBqCk/video.html

In The Netherlands heroin addicts can get "methadone" either in a clinic or a hospital bus that's on x location every week. There's been studies about it since 1990.
Without the taunt at pre-last round, he for sure would have lost that. Chat was actually Galaxy Brain holy

Now you created Cocainerino Kripperino.
The whole herein thing that kripp was talking about, so they weren’t actually supplying herein, they were supplying clean needles and a safe place to take it. It seemed to be working the the European Union voted on it and said they are not allowed to do it, so the drug on war rages on
you know, real talk time. When I first started watching kripp, all I saw was the lightspeed meme chat and the salt.
But whenever Kripp actually talks about something, it's always showing thoughtful opinions. I find myself respecting him as a person more as time goes on, even if I don't always fully agree.
If you’re talking about cocaine legalization, drug cartels would not be pro that. In fact it would kill them. That’s why you don’t see alcohol bootleggers anymore and all the organized crime that came with that. Also, we’re not saving people from themselves, we’re throwing them in jail, essentially taking their not just their figurate freedom, but actual freedom away from them and making them into hard criminals.
It's like: If you don't ruin your life on your own by taking cocaine, we're gonna do it for you by throwing you in prison. That's even more stupid than giving the robber your money so he can't steal it from you...
By now cartels have diversified their business. They're not reliant on the inflationary prices and monopolization of illicit drugs. They are invested in exports, mining, weapons, "security," paramilitaries, agribusiness, immigration - you name it. They've also infiltrated police departments and politics, making them incredibly powerful corporate entities. Drug sales only make up a small part of their income.
Drugs should be legalized and their abuse treated as a public health problem, but not because it would cripple cartels - it wouldn't.
I should also point out that there are entities which do stand to lose a lot from drug decriminalization - namely, in the US at least, police agencies, task forces, and prisons.
And as writers like Dawn Paley have pointed out, a number of large corporations and interests have depended on the chaos created by cartels and the war on drugs to accumulate capital and promote trade in Latin America.
@@HarryS77 Prison labor is so ingrained in USA culture that the USA can't even fight wildfires without it. I guess it isn't surprising that a country founded on slavery still needs slaves to function properly.
@@Kleyguerth Can't argue with any of that.
We have the largest prison population in the world, both in absolute numbers and per capita, which is astonishing. It's not China, it's not Russia, it's not Iran or Saudi Arabia. It's the "land of the free." If we aren't yet a police state it's because we skipped right over that to being a prison nation.
In luxembourg there is a place you can get free clean neadels and stay there so you dont get hurt during your trip
The whole idea of free drugs administered at government maintained facilities is that 1) it's free so people will go there. 2) people who go to get free drugs are constantly monitored so the chance of an overdose is practically zero. 3) people feel more comfortable to go out and get help for their problem. This has been proven to be an effective way to treat widespread drug use, versus the war on drugs which has had little to no positive influence, let alone causing the incrimination of millions of non-violent people. Drugs should be treated as a medical issue rather than a criminal one. The US war on drugs was officially started by Reagan and it's been proven from audio recordings that the whole thing was put in place to negatively affect poor black communities the most. Long story short, drugs should be freely administered at government facilities, as it has been proven effective at greatly reducing drug use.
thanks
It's nice to see how well informed Kripp's viewers are. Sometimes gamers can be a little...um...
The thing about the war on drugs is that it's already lost. That's present everytime the government treats social issues as criminal issues, because it's so contradictory to think that a response administered after the fact was an actual preventive measure. Taking a cold medicine does not prevent you from getting more colds in the future. Well, in this case it's more like taking chloroquine to prevent covid-19, in the sense that it's an inadequate response as well, but that's not the point.
People need to realise that, if it was true that the more you punish the safer a society is, countries with increasing imprisonment rates would be safer and safer each year. But that's not the case, is it?
It's the same with abortion, criminalizing it does not prevent it from happening, but countries that decriminalized it actually saw a drop in ocurrence as well. Probably not because of the decriminalizing in itself, but because now they treat it with the attention it needs, with the social, psychological and healthcare treatment the patient needs, as well as because of the increased education about the topic for young people. Society needs to talk about these issues without it being taboo
As that old saying goes, "An ounce of Prevention is worth a Pound of Cure."

for the one person who'll read this. About the topic in the first few minutes in the video, he mentions that a European country (Schweiz AKA Switzerland) gave out heroin for free, they did. they started in 1980 and by 2016 more than 70% of all heroin users in the country got treatment and there was a reduction of over 50% in heroin overdoses among other things. long story short, according to my research, it does work!
thank you for reading.

I am pretty sure Kripp is talking about Portugal, I read an interesting article about (unfortunately it is in danish), but it definitely helped them. I believe they gave them heroin, but also talked to them and gave them open invitations to go to a rehab house (halfway house) to help them recover from their addiction, and it actually helped a lot. The problem is, addicts are going to take drugs regardless, and it's really expensive hence the crime statistics. Of course it sounds stupid on paper, but I don't think you can ever really avoid drug addicts in society, it's always been there since "drugs were invented". There are also similar things around Europe where drug addicts can go to clinics and get injected with Methadon or whatever, to make sure it is injected under "safe" circumstances. Another pro of this is that they can make sure the drugs aren't laced with something more dangerous, and the addicts are not overdosing on the drugs.
i wish you bought the 4th kalecgos ):
Twitch chat saving the game 😂😂
I tweeted a nasty menagerie game at you where I got a super early triple bran and was able to scale the hell out of a foereaper, 2 almagadons and a couple other minions. I also got a golden lightfang, but it was really late in the match.
Kripp just goes headlong into waxing philosophical on the drug war and the concept of freedom.
Go on.
okay i have to correct that heroin anecdote. The addicts don't stop because it's a hospital and because there's some weird dality, they stop because there's people hired to help them stop that gives council. Now you might wonder why would any country do that, well besides the fact that there's now a higher chance for the addicts to stop, they no longer have to steal or rob to get their drug and they don't die of laced drugs.

Nice video. Speaking about the heroin clinics. as far as I know those are needle exchanges where they dont just give out heroin, but will give a "dose" to help you come down and also get rid of the dirty ass needles. its a great start if nothing else imo.
Kripp with the bold anti-crack stance
I think the country you're talking about with the heroin laws was Portugal. Portugal has completely solved their heroin problem and its been 20 years now.
The government also offered to pay half the wages for the job of any recovering addicts with no conditions attached. So businesses could basically hire recovering addicts at half the rate of the average person. Kripp I definitely recommend you watch this one addiction Ted Talk if you're interested:
www.ted.com/talks/johann_hari_everything_you_think_you_know_about_addiction_is_wrong?language=en
His game improves so much when he listens to chat. This game he would've got 4 place if not for chat.
The country he's talking about at the beginning is Switzerland. Joe Rogan Podcast 1250 - Johann Hari is a great overview of how the clinics reduce drug addiction. The summary is that drug addiction is seen as a symptom of other mental health issues. By addressing the other issues in their lives, addicts lose any need to cope and naturally stop using drugs.
15:36 - 15:41 aw, dang... I couldn't guess it right, either.... :(
at the clinics they also get questioned a bit by therapists, asking if they want to quit and helping them quit if they want to. It makes it so that they are not afraid of going to jail if they disclose their addiction and seek help.
That clinic you talked about is in the Netherlands. It is not free i think but they get tested drugs and not dangerous stuff. Then they lower the usage of addicts istead of going cold turkey and it does really work well.
Kripp played dragons this game.
I like this Kripperino
If the govt provides clean and free alternatives, they are able to also persuade the individual towards sobriety with regular check ups and lowering dosages
when will we get some post patch games on youtube?
I usually watch your videos to become better in HS. But this one was a great lecture about drugs policies too! Congrats
The reason the Swiss heroin policy worked is because without having to worry about the cost of heroin and because addicts were using purer heroin and cleaner needles they can focus on getting a job and getting better. 2/3rds of heroin users in Switzerland stopped using heroin in the long term and have stable employment. Also things like street prostitution and gang crime were cut in half.
6:30 The "fewer criminal" things isn't the only reason crime is lower. Research has shown an overall drop in crime in areas when decriminalization of certain things happens.
Twin towers been real quiet since this one dropped G
Drug dealers in Canada are nice people. Hahhaa
Drug dealers in canada are just kinda nice people- krip 2020
Well the main reason they made heroin free, but only at the hospitals, was because that area (i forget where it was actually was) had a bad heroin addicted population. When the users got high, they would sit around tripping and do nothing for the society - and most of them got high alone, which was dangerous. So legalizing heroin did a few major things: 1) It made them have safer trips, which they couldn't leave the hospital until they were feeling fine. 2) it helped them actually continue on with a normal day because a lot of the problem was these junkies couldn't function without being on heroin. and 3) these guys made there way back into society, getting jobs and slowly getting off heroin. because the 'crash' that they had made them very addicted, and because it was so easily obtainable they never had a reason to crash anymore.

The amount of heroin OVERDOSES dropped, since they were in a controlled environment with clean equipment and were using heroin that wasn't dilluted with random crap to make it cheaper, also hospital staff was nearby. Doubt it made actual heroin use drop at all though.
Chat both asked kripp stupid questions about cocaine and helped this game
The reason to provide free methadon at a clinic is not to curb drug use but to mitigate problems assosiated with it. You provide clean needles, have health care on site to treat them, easy access to social work, etc. Also, junkies dont have to steal laptops to get their fix, bringing petty crime down.
People are gonna use drugs regardles, better minimize the negative impact
