I reckon the plane shavings as a shade, in the one I made in this video, was neater than the first one. I could probably even refine the process more but I think it's getting there.

The author does like to from scratch, czcams.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

18:30 I realized that you’re the most innovative woodworker I’ve seen. Your style has a charm to it that seems not to take woodworking too seriously and yet your pieces display so many perfectly executed, novel techniques and your understanding of proportion is clearly such that the things you make are genuinely unlike anything I’ve seen before.
Coming up with original ideas is so so difficult but you seem to do it in a regular basis. I hope for you that the ideas are always too abundant to keep up with!

Right after he set it up I heard about it and was jones'ing to hear a little Grand Wazoo, so I gave it call and ended up taking to Frank himself on the phone. When I said I was in Washington and that I was calling because of the PMRC stickering here, he jokingly said, "Well, you need to get off your ass and fix that shit." LOL So I'm telling you to tell your other woodworking buddies about Pask and fix that shit! I know I've told at least a dozen people that have subbed. So get going! LOL Cheers

Nice way of making the lampshade. An alternative and totally free source of plastic could be a dead LCD TV if you have access to one, just dismantle it and you will find in front of the LCD panel a few diffuser layers, which are really useful when repurposed for other things. I once made a Star Trek TOS style Warp Core prop (lamp) for my classroom using a diffuser out of a 55" Samsung TV!

Excellent work as always. Intrigued by the method you used to get the loops for the top and bottom by having cuts and different depths and then cutting through them laterally with the table saw. Genius.

it may take a good while for me o get to it but i love this concept and plan to implement it in my home. steel stone and wood I'm the tangible sort where beauty and the pragmatic meet is my sweet spot. that is what sturs me and guides my hands.
