Has a nice exhaust note.
My Jeremy Clarkson imitation would be "This Mustang moves out quicker than the Brits at Dunkirk!"
the last part reminds me of when I was little and whenever i saw a cool car id scream out the whole name of it lol! good times
@huntman125 a live axle is aka as a solid rear axle. Solid rear axles are made for drag racing and IRS is made for taking turns. 03-04 terminators had an IRS.
wth this guy has an epic voice....a blank look and still get you excited
@huntman125 That means its one unit...It's not the IRS (independent rear suspension) that's used on the previous cobras...
It's the unit that were used in the Fox body Mustangs...
are there any other live axle sports cars?
I thought the OG color for the 2011 Shelby GT500 Cobra was a Nightmare Blue/ Metallic Blue or u can get it in differ colors right? I think the 2011 is the best of the Modern Mustang Shelby
i like the every insideline tests is magically slower when they drive it.
this car does 11.9@120 on stock tires
@kelikelvin Roush does not use IRS in their mustang's, they just upgrade the suspension.
The Jeremy clarkson impersonation😂
why no independent suspensions?
This 12.4 is what the 2012 ZL1 is running now !! Lol!! Way to go Chevy, an almost 8 year hiatus to figure out how to charge and fix the Slowmaro, and they are still over two years behind , haha😁!! 2013 GT500 is king😝❕❕
@keepthapinit No problem, I hope that answers your question...
I love the way the new Shelby looks but I can't help by knowing it has a live axel
Hey, the rear end didn't look like it was participating in AMA supercross this time!
@kirk0respite where did you see that video?
lol 1:20 good driving
@Jorge50505 yep it should be around 11.9 to 12.4 but it depends on many factors such as the temperature, the air flow and the drivers skills. Now the 0-60mph should also be a little bit lower il say 4.0 to 4.1 secs. :)
Jeremy is awesome.

LordGodAlmighty! That voice split my ear drums!
4.4? did he miss a shift? MM and FF got it to 60 in 4 flat and got a 1/4 in 12 flat
the worlds greatest actors
@sulmah Depends on the driver if you ask me. Car and Driver said they did it in 4.1 sec!!!
wats the top speed?
hahaha the ending was funny
wat 4.4? the 5.0 does it in 4.3?
you forgot to say POWERRRRRR!
Nice color :D hehe:D and nice upgrades:D +looks mean
Help please
i want to get an americans muscle car
Which better Shelby GT500 or Challenger RTS8 ? my budget is 120000$
Please advise
@JETZcorp It is cheaper - I agree, but I would like to see it performing on a twisted road in rain. Plus good suspension you can feel and enjoy on normal speeds as well, you can just corner much faster. I used to own two American made F-Bodies - great fun on straight roads and doing burnouts.. but that's all American muscle/pony cars can do. Now I own BMW so finally I can see what handling stands for. And one Corvette does not change a lot, especially that is highly unpractical..
@NismoPWNS It just goes to show how much people love Clarkson. Even other auto journalists in the states like him. :)
@201andrew both were tested at 4.4.
This guys impression of Jeremy Clarkson sounds more like Mr. Bill. You youngsters will have to look that one up.
@DevPack but it was a GREAT impersonation :P
nice missed shift at 1:20 LOL
@Nixmix24
I've noticed they always use the light blue color for the GT500. I hate it too. Black looks much better on a powerful beast like this car.
Hear the granny shifting at 1:20..No wonder the 0 to 60 was 4.4
now i want a performance sport crown vic from ford
whose review is this, James' or Josh's?
@BeatnikSoldier Yeah right, like the boss 302...
last part was funny as hell,,Jeremy does talk a lot tho
so we must wait for motortrend for the real numbers
@nickt916 0-60 in 4.1 motortrend recently tested it. But yea i get your point.
4.4? that's the same as in the 5.0 motor what's the point? i know the GT500 can get a better time then that is it just InsideLine messing with the numbers?
@driftoholik No one is taking the Shelby GT500 to Silverstone. The live axle will work fine on public roads, unless you're going to take the speed limit and double it. And, it's almost certainly cheaper and more reliable. Not every car is meant to fit into the same niche as a Lotus Elise.
As for the the "Americans" (as if we're all the same) not being able to figure out independent suspension, you might want to take a peek at cars like the Corvette and Challenger.
@HotSIzZle12 EXACTLY!
the real numbers for this car is 11.9@120,on stock tires.
If it can handle THAT well without an Independent Rear Suspension then it doesn't really need one. Roush offers Mustangs with IRS so if you feel that compelled to get IRS in a mustang go Roush. Personally I prefer the torsion beam live rear axle. It adds character to this shelby mustang in a world of diminishing individuality. If it doesn't need it, why bother?
At 0:00 I thought he was going to punch me with that look on his face.
@incomplete82 the camaro zl1 is a new camaro thats gonna be the highest trim level for camaros. previously the gt500 has been compared to the camaro ss cuz thats the highest camaro when in reality the camaro ss is made on the level the mustang gt is at. the camaro zl1 is supposed to be the new fastest camaro and its made to compete with the gt500. i think it comes out this year idk when though its being advertised in the new transformers movie by having bumble bee display the zl1.
Now they just need to get rid of the live axel
Are there only 1000 of these made? if not which one is it wheres theres 1000 of them made for 2011?
i know i just watched a different vid where an acual good driver was behind the wheel he did 3.9-4.0
@2008calander This is a muscle car what do you expect ? you might say that it is supposed to be "heavy"
u can get it to 4.1..motortrend always gets better numbers
I know the 1/4 mile time is way lower then wat they claim
the mustang gt 5.0 does the 1/4 mile in 12.8 seconds with stock tires
Jezza rules ..
@zunelucero a little over 190mph 0.o
I'd rather have the CTS-V coupe.
2:41 Haha thats so true.
I get that you guys love performance cars...we do too, but review some normal cars...
lol Right!!! Like missing 2nd gear...
@TheBronx1313 lol he missed 3rd
Way to hate on Jezza!
I think I’d like that car, overall, but electric power assist for the steering is NOT a selling point.
Ford has been making incremental improvements to their “EPAS” over the years, and on my 2020 Mustang the steering feel is still not the equal of the hydraulic assist on any of my other cars.
The hood stripes are not wide enough and are too close together.
@linkdarkshadow
In the US, yes probably, but due to tax regulations it gets pretty pricey in most of Europe.
What's funny is that the driver made fun of Jeremy Clarkson at the end... Right
@NakedSnakeBlGBOSS Are you calling the M3 junk
@12211260
It did.
not worth the price tag. the stock 5.0 GT is under 13 sec. You would also think that you would loose more weight when its alu block.
@BrantFortunate no.....
bugatti veyron road test!!!!!!!!!
Wait ... so the 0-60 time on the GT is just as fast? .... It has the HP, but doesn't even handle as well as a GT, I personally don't think paying an extra 20 grand just because it says "Shelby" on it is worth it. If the new Boss is around 50-60 no contest, but not the GT 500.
@Marshmallowrex lol
yea, but he would probably still complain about the handling...
@phatphred No, granny shifting is the act of shifting slow. if you have a transmission without synchro-mesh, you DOUBLE CLUTCH (not granny shift idiot) to match the revs with the engine speed. So thank you for letting us all know that you know nothing.
American muscle all the way !
jeremy clarkson lol
Jeremy Clarkson is the man
Well since Top Gear is the most successful car programme on a worldwide scale, it seems he's right. So you should "WWOOOOOOOOO" some more.
No, joking, I like InsideLines' formula. But avoid comparisons! You're in USA it's just too different
no comparison Zr1 still dominates...
I love love love the GT500 but I can't stand that light blue look...
@xioxio38 nope, this is not true for all american cars... as I recall he likes corvete z06 handling, but it's just too stiff for everyday use in his opinion. But he makes lough sometimes about american cars, this is true... as all europeans do, but I don't anymore, because I know why in some cases you just can't compare EU cars to USA...
@Hotrodhardy, No I believe it's spelled "gear" unless you call your car's gear "queer" then you're pretty much weird.
@incomplete82 why the hell do u need 120k for a muscle car for that money you could get both or spend your money alot better and get a 2012 gtr or a 911. if you really want a muscle car though wait for the new camaro zl1 when it comes out
nobody makes fun of JC.
I wonder if Inside Line knows they are bringing their views and subscriptions down when they show that someone misses a gear....
@mrmooomanjr
Josh Jacquot
@Vampire168 You can't take sarcasm can you?
0-60 has been seen a lot fast and so has quarter mile. you can hear these goons misshift the hell out of it too.
@UKickedMyDog823 O COME ON.its good but it has mideval rear suspension.it runs low 12's.thats fast.
@TheDanandLewChannel LMAO
@xioxio38 It's bad, because suspension is straight from '70s! Live axles? Give me a break. Thank god Camaro is using Ausie suspension because it seams it's too damn complicated for Americans to figure it out by thenselves. Sad but true. Who cares if it has tons of power if you cannot use it outside of a drag strip?
You could hear them miss a gear....gosh
@DevPack He sounds more like Hammond...After catching a broken driveshaft to the balls.
4.4 sec. with 550hp means the car is still to heavy.
@1steamengineben I fucking agree.
