These are same card with same core. G100 was only rebrand for OEM customers. Kryzps G100 has double the memory of his 9300. So in some games it can benefit from it, but mostly it will be same crap. Really not a gaming card even back than. 9600GT was lowest reasonable nVidia card in 2008-2009.

Oh god, YES! I remember how my brother got a "gaming PC" in 2008. He was so excited for it, and the salesman told him it'd run all the latest games...

I remember over 10 years ago like it was yesterday..... well, more like last month, but we picked out a nifty Dell flat screen monitor to upgrade from our HP ray tube computer screen, and it felt like Christmas. The salesman went to go get one from the back room, and he came back out empty handed and told us there was a bigger screen for the same price, and asked us if we wanted that one instead. My sister and I fell for it like we were opening presents. Turns out, that monitor has light pink lines aligned vertically like small groups of prison bars. They were so faint, it was hard to tell they were there sometimes. I kept using that monitor until 2021 or 2022, and then it finally fried itself. Now I'm using a very similar monitor that's so much better, with an even better one now waiting for me to go pick it up.
I definitely liked this more than the 4090 videos because it makes me feel proud of my 1060

This brings back memories of when I was in high school back in 2002. GeForce 2 was the popular card at the time. Just a heat sink.
Around that time, GeForce 4 came out (I don’t know what happened with GeForce 3) and it was the first graphics card I bought that came with a tiny fan. Friends didn’t believe me that it had a fan! How times have changed since then. 😅
There was gfx cards with heatsinks and fans long before the gf4.
My gf2gts had a heatsink and fan (only the cut down gf2 mx's got away with only a heatsink, gts, pro and ultra cards mostly had a heatsink and fan), there's tnt cards with heatsinks and fans, even permedia 2 cards with heatsinks and fans and they were more than 5 years before the gf4 cards.
Probably earlier cards too, these are just the ones I remember that I had myself.

Actually you are right, it's boring to see 4090 performing good, it meant to be good, excitement is where you can see a 10 years old cart is performing so well with newly titles in 2022.
Good video. The Nvidia 9300 gs was actually considered decent on board graphics for it's time. It was on multiple motherboards. You could play games at 1024 x 768 with low settings and get around 30fps. Games like COD 4, BioShock, CS:GO Source, Doom 3, Left 4 Dead etc.
GTA San Andreas looked & played better than the PS2 version. Games like Batman: Arkham Asylum & the first Gears of War looked playable until action happened on the screen and games like Far Cry 3, GTA 4 etc were just too much for it.

Kryzp is a little exhausted if testing the boring 4090, maybe he needed an epic taste for a legendary good GPU that can run all new games on 4k with 0.69 fps 😏😏

Time runs fast .. looking back now from rtx 4090 to those days we never knew difference on how much fps is considered good.. it was like whenever the game launches it was taken granted that pc can run it and playable .. lol

This is like the performance I had with my first pc back in 2006. I had to use it for gaming until it broke in 2017 and the most demanding games I could've play were cs 1.6 and gta SA. Between these years I wasn't allowed to work because of my parents so I had to use that thing for 11 years.
@Narkomancers 1.during that time I was under 18 years old and you can't be employed if you are not 18 y/o or above, at least here. I didn't have stuff to sell and all the people I knew back then didn't have anything for me to do for money in exchange.

I remember playing Crysis at 10-20 FPS with my old iGPU Nvidia 6150se nForce 430 back in 2008... It was quite an experience... I completed the whole game playing at very low FPS lmao
I played nfsmw in 2005 with 128mb dedicated gpu in intel pentium 3.. those were days I had dreamt of owning a gaming pc or console but never got one .. but it was good time playing nfsmw with friends on not too bad fps.. thanks for playing this game with gpu from that time.. it brings back memories ..

I think that's because Visual Treatment Low just removes the yellow filter feeling of the game, which can look better if you turn that on and shouldn't affect too much.

Hey, could you clock it higher than stock to the maximum and recheck the lower end cards. Perhaps with a gpu cooling fan attached.

I feel like we need a comparison between the Geforce 9300 ge and the rtx 4090
This was released in 2008, it was reasonable low-to-mid tier card. Usual gaming resolution in those years would be 1024 x 768 at 30 FPS. This would run on CRT displays (17 or 19 inch) of the era. 720p (1280x720) of early LCD monitors would also be covered. Completely obsolete now , of course, except in a pinch as emergency display adapter if you do not have anything else available.

Yes it will be interesting. 🙂 But still there exist worse Nvidia card for PCIE than PCX 5300. PCX 5300 is still at least DX 9.0 card.
GeForce PCX 4300 has NV18 core from AGP8X card GF 4 MX 440. It is only one DX 7.0 compactible GPU on PCIe.
I typed the PCX 5300 because I couldn't other, weaker PCI-e GPUs on sale anywhere for reasonable prices.
You need to test the Radeon r2 graphics chip released in some low end laptops, it will make this look like a 4090, it does support direct x 12 though for some reason
It would be cool to see the performance of a hot card from these times like the 8800 GTX. Back when i was playing CS:Source everyone had one of those.

Wow. I had no idea this existed and I wrote drivers for g8x and g9x gpus for an "alternative" OS that I enjoy using. It's not even in the pci id list in nouveau or gallium3d (the "frameworks" for the most popular open source nvidia drivers).

Hey Kryzzp, ever considered bench marking GTFO. Im not sure if its a beef of a game to run, but for my 1050ti ti was giving some troubles, sometimes dropping from 70fps to sub 50.
ngl, this reminds me of the days when I tried to play games on the worst netbook imaginable...
...granted, this could probably get more than 5 fps in Half-Life 2 and F.E.A.R. on lowest settings, but still, it reminded of my netbook days.

Lol I remember the time when I first got my PC, I used to have this card and used to play only light games and some emulators until few months later around September 2020 I finally saved enough money to buy gtx 750 ti and I was so surprised of how much better this card really was when I bought it. Sure it's not perfect but for the budget it was great and still rocking my 750 ti :)

My internet cafe back in 2009 uses this kind of GPU, 9300GS. It perform pretty impressive for PS2 Game Era.

Remembering to have 9500gt or gts, and it was painfull exprience :D specialy for something hard 2 run like Crysis.
There's a mod on GTAGarage called "SA Blur" that gets rid of the speed blur in GTA San Andreas, so you should consider using it when testing really low end cards

20:35 if you have any plans to play again some paladins, under "K" you have information about all of your skills. Also this game is caped at 175fps, and you can unlock it in config file, but with this card it's not needed xD
Bro you can test the gpus from older game's minimum requirements and check how those games will perform on minimum requirement gpus and so do today's titles. This will be fun actually.

yesss paladins finally :') been waiting for you to bench that game. it looks rather okay in high settings but it can legit run on a toaster. it was the only decent game i was playing on my old laptop which had an 8th gen quad core i7 in it with integrated graphics and i had a lot of fun in it ^^

The weapon you were looking for in San Andreas is in that police station. Instead of going left when in the hallway and entering the office area you have to go right and there is some kind of changing room with some lockers and after it is a shower area and in that are is the weapon
I had one of these. It was painful to use. Mine had a little fan though. I finished Far Cry 3 at 10fps on it twice.

I have an(beloved) *Albatron 6600GT 128 MB GDDR3* ,and i'm confident that it can outperform the likes of G100 & 9300 GE , and it's the 1st line of GPUs which transcended from AGP to PCI-e .
There were 6600GT at both AGP and PCI-e version.
Fortunately for me , i had chosen the PCI-e one.

This is actually pretty nostalgic to me. My first pc had geforce 9200 integrated graphics. A staggering 8 cuda cores and 4 shading units, 5 FPS in Minecraft.
Try find a OEM motherboard to try the geforce 9200 man, it's even worse than this.
