  • The newest members of the Queen's Gurkha Engineers have been learning key boating skills as part of their course to become fully fledged British Army sappers.
They had already learned to blow things up and build bridges, and have now been learning to master their watermanship.
The young sappers must not only learn how to control and steer the craft, but also engage with a range of different marine scenarios.

Gurkhas are superlative soldiers. Find some of the older documentaries about them here on CZcams. You can’t help but admire their honesty, dedication, loyalty, love of family, and above all else, their humble professionalism.

The Royal Engineers are the best Corp in the British 🇬🇧 Army.
The Gurkhas, with their exemplary enthusiasm, add a real dynamism to their regiment.

If the British Army, and Royal Navy are so short of new recruits then why don’t we hire more Gurkhas????

@@snowyowl7413 It's not that they don't pass the selection, the British Army has a cap on how many can be recruited every year. So only the best get selected. Every year many pass the selection criteria but still don't get selected because of it. You could definitely recruit more into the Army without lowering standards, if the cap is raised that is.

@@snowyowl7413 I appreciate your comment, but i thought it was common knowledge that the British Army only recruit a certain number.

I read one of the book, where the first time Gurkha went overseas to fight war, they follow the British officers on the ship and they were curious about the ship because they can't see the leg of the ship. The officers explained to them about how the ship function on the seas. They went to war and fought valiantly. Ayo Gurkhali.
