- The newest members of the Queen's Gurkha Engineers have been learning key boating skills as part of their course to become fully fledged British Army sappers.
They had already learned to blow things up and build bridges, and have now been learning to master their watermanship.
The young sappers must not only learn how to control and steer the craft, but also engage with a range of different marine scenarios.

Gurkhas are superlative soldiers. Find some of the older documentaries about them here on CZcams. You can’t help but admire their honesty, dedication, loyalty, love of family, and above all else, their humble professionalism.
👍 👍 The best soldiers in the world !!! 👍 👍
You served with them ?
Great to see Gurkhas getting new different skills and having little fun also.
The Royal Engineers are the best Corp in the British 🇬🇧 Army.
The Gurkhas, with their exemplary enthusiasm, add a real dynamism to their regiment.

"If a man says he is not afraid of dying, he is either. lying or is a Gurkha."
I am lucky & privileged enough to have served alongside Gurkhas from the QGS. One of the highlights of my service career was sharing time with these amazing soldiers.
They're so cute and keen. Lovely chaps. God Bless. 👍👍🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Respect young Men May your service be rewarded 🫡
If the British Army, and Royal Navy are so short of new recruits then why don’t we hire more Gurkhas????
@@snowyowl7413 It's not that they don't pass the selection, the British Army has a cap on how many can be recruited every year. So only the best get selected. Every year many pass the selection criteria but still don't get selected because of it. You could definitely recruit more into the Army without lowering standards, if the cap is raised that is.
@@snowyowl7413 I appreciate your comment, but i thought it was common knowledge that the British Army only recruit a certain number.
I read one of the book, where the first time Gurkha went overseas to fight war, they follow the British officers on the ship and they were curious about the ship because they can't see the leg of the ship. The officers explained to them about how the ship function on the seas. They went to war and fought valiantly. Ayo Gurkhali.
I don't doubt it, such a massively land locked country and almost immune to the industrial revolution until at least half a century after most others.
Fond memories being trained there back in 93 and training recruits in 01, great to see 👌
These guys are so tough even water is afraid to get them wet,
No but really there the best in the world
