You son of a B that rifle trick is amazing. With the GWOT we changed a lot and slings are super important now. That being said, on the move, I don't use it. I keep it in my hands like when I'm hunting and if I need to run I learned from a man who stacked more bodies then books and he was very well read carry it like a football. But while chilling or getting word, I'm doing that now. Oh, and heads up, LBEs are back in voge like the jungle rug, the nixie lfr, or the DZ rig, so we young guys need this old school information. All the guys who ran LBEs are out or not with the line anymore. The GWOT know how to keep things slim and fast because we always had resupply but with a near peer adversary on the way we need both ways of doing things

I fondly remember this uniform. Where did you go to Air Assault school at? I remember troops doing push ups for not having a government issue Skilcraft writing implement during in-ranks inspections-

Happened to stumble over your videos/channel going down youtube rabbit holes, love it.
I also served in the US Army 90-92 so this definitely brought back some memories.
My gear is all long gone, moved back from Germany & then several moves here in the states meant much disappeared. Including the watch I wore back then.
Which as a suggestion (while the same stuff may not longer be produced) but can you give the info on when you use similar stuff? Like the watch, you mentioned it was a casino gshock but what model?
I know on stuff like that most of us just got what we could in the PX but IMHO every little bit helps. Keep up the videos, small viewer base but very good videos.

Thanks for the high praise! The watch I have now is a Casio 3229 DW-5600E available on Amazon for $49.52.
