The Electro-Harmonix C9 Organ Machine can transform the sound of your guitar into nine different iconic organ and keyboard sounds! Related to EHX's B9, the C9 expands the tonal palette, offering four classic tone wheel organs, three transistor organs, a Mellotron, and something called Shimmer that needs to be heard.
Your dry guitar sound can be balanced with the C9 sounds via the two top-mounted knobs. Modulation and key click, which are part of the tone wheel organ's sound, can be controlled with the Mod and Click knobs. Those knobs have different, cool functions with the non-tone-wheel sounds.
The C9 plugs-in like any other pedal; no special cables or pickups needed. You can have both the C9 and your guitar signal coming out of a single output or their own, individual outputs.
Fatten your guitar sound, cover an organ part, play dueling or unison lines with guitar and organ, all with excellent note tracking and ease-of-use, that's the C9 Organ Machine.
Thanks for watching! Don Carr - Hudba
One of the best demo reviews on CZcams. Thanks for exactly explaining the product.
I always enjoy your demos when looking at unfamiliar gear. Informative and great practical test of the sounds.
Don, you are the best demonstrator of all Sweetwater gear - bar none.
This is one of the coolest pedals I've heard that really modifies the guitar as an instrument.
Awesome review. I'm sold!
That bypass switch is indeed both handy and dandy.
Just bought this.. Love it.
You have captured the intended sound!
I like the sounds of this one more than the other organ pedal. more retro and sound like they would be better with some reverb and delay on them as well.
Good demo of this pedal.
Great demo very useful, and great playing. Thank you Don!
A must have!
That is an amazing machine.
I need this!
The "compact" setting could be used to play "House of the Rising Sun" in the great Animals version frm 1964! (Vox Continental)
All their organ pedals are cool ...I bought them all.....just got the Satisfation and the Lester G.......
Do you recommend a compressor pedal with the C9?
sweet pedal, I want one !...
Amazing
This thing is awesome but... I wish they'd left off the leslie - the controls are so limited they should've put a couple drawbar settings on those knobs and leave the Leslie up to external effects so you can switch it on/off and speed up/slow down.
With The flute sound, Strawberry Fields comes to mind. Actually, I'd like to see Don demo the Synth 9
Hi Chris, Don makes excellent use of the Synth 9 in a video called " How to Make Your Guitar Sound Like a Synth" czcams.com/video/7z1Ju9biGZE/video.html
Thanks for watching!
Hi. Can i play the Doors songs with this pedal ? Thanks
I'd love to see some play Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple and Majesty by Ghost with this thing
What would be the best pedal to get this Rick Wakeman and Jordan Rudess sounds with my guitar?
Am I the only one that got that Gentle Giant "prog" setting riff?
Damnit. Now I have to listen.
God bless sounds awesome!!
I WILL BUY THIS PEDAL JUST TO USE LORD PURPLE WITH MY BLUES DRIVER!! BLUES DRIVER ON EVERYTHING!!!
He deliberately ruined the Lord Purple setting by distorting it with some external modded pedal. Why not just demo the C9 pedal, as in the title of the video?
Marcio Costa maybe its designed to be used with distortion.. it does sound like lord with distortion.. so probably the way its used best... there is other demos on CZcams
They should hire another person to do the demo.
@@norbitcleaverhook5040 You are correct. To get the John Lord sound you need to run it into a fuzz/distortion whether it be a pedal or your amp.
That particular part of the demo happens to be exactly what I came to this video for. My search was "electroharmonix c9 overdrive". Just sayin.
Nice review, keep the long hair long.
synth9 or c9? Huhu
Would this device work with a (vocal) mic?
Of course!!! Every pedal that I have ever heard of will add the effect to anything you play through it, wether it's a mic, an mp3 player, a keyboard, or anything with an output jack...
Some ignorant comments below. This isn't the only C9 video on CZcams, duh.
Your video should just be a link to the official Electro-Harmonix demonstation. This is not a review, it's a brief overview and it doesn't do the pedal justice.
What are you whinging about? How much do you expect him to cover in 9 minutes, Christ.
what song is he playing at 4.00
Gunners VB thats “Runaway” by Del Shannon
Eu pensava que era uma senhora tocando kkk
I am Lord Purple! Who dares use my name?
+Paul TheSkeptic oh, John Lord, please, he knows not what he does...he did not mean to mimik you!
SEBASTION HAWK No no. That's okay. I am Lord Reginald Antonious Purple. Ruler of the Purple kingdom. Mr. Lord may carry on.
: ) love that Jon Lord Deep Purple sound- it is worth 1,000 words...
SEBASTION HAWK Yeah, he's great.
No matter my EQ settings, the upper register is shrill. The flute Mellotron hardly works. Best setting for me is 3.
I am using a compressor, in-line, to amp. I enjoy the box, but I am a tad disappointed
naalar - maybe try without compression
All the videos that I have seen on this pedal do not adjust the tone control on the guitar - which is somewhat odd. Do you find that the guitar tone control does influence the output from the pedal?
Man, just play the thing....
Great demo, but again nothing for the rhythm guitar.
Weird al really is branching out these days
HAHA! this thing is great
No bending please! Sounding just weiiird
get a haircut
welcome back from 1962
Grow your hair.
Paul Wohlstetter Be less of a douche. You've got more work to make a change than he does. Get to work.
