I believe the price for the covers was roughly $110 per post. So, at 9 posts, that’s about $1,000 for just the covers.
Installing them seriously went pretty smooth. I did the whole thing myself in an afternoon. No issues.
Great video - real life situation completed by a real life person. I just bought these for four posts and they came in a partial box with no instructions. Not rocket science but the 1/8" gap is needed for expansion. Thank you for creating a really great video.

Thanks for this video. I was having trouble installing these very difficult. Problem was it was 40 degrees. Next day I pre warmed them and install at 55+ degrees and so much easier. Temp makes a huge difference!

If I do not have a electrical saw, do you recommend another tool?
@@rosiegold8562 I would think a regular old hand saw will work. I’ve cut plenty of PVC pipe with a hand saw.Definitely worth a try.

I bought this product, a notable difference is mine came in the box at about a 75 degree concave angle so I had to wrestle them on, now they don’t pull flat in the finished look. But I believe my posts are slightly too big so I’m going to fix that and hopefully they go on easier the second time around
Thanks for sharing. I appreciate the input. I can confirm that my boxes were nice and straight. I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I ordered from Deck Expressions and they were delivered UPS. There were no issues with packaging.
I can imagine that a 75 degree concave would cause some issues. I hope they come together for you after you decrease you post size and get better engagement when you press them together. Otherwise, maybe set them on some saw horses, concave up, and hang a weight from the center on a warm day. Maybe they will straighten out. Just a thought.

I just installed the same ones on my deck and yes it is that easy. Did you use caulk on the top?
I got another set of trim pieces that I installed at the bottom and installed them at the top as well.
Did you put the trim rings around the top of the posts as well, or did it look finished enough without them?
I put the same trim rings around the top as well. It didn’t look right without them, and adding them finished it off.
I didn’t want to run nails or screws through them, so I used some clear hot glue as a test, and it has held up great with no issues.
Was considering using these on our front porch, however our mental posts or Smart jacks are round with 3" base at bottom and 5" base at top--do you think these would work on a post that is not square? Thanks!
I don’t think these would work well with a round post. You could add some strips of wood to the outside of the post to give the covers a surface to seat against.

Is that saw something special? It appears to run at very low rpm, or is that just an optical illusion?
Nothing special. Just an optical illusion. The footage is shown in double speed which may have something to do with it.
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial Thanks. I've used a cutoff saw like that for cutting vinyl siding, but with a fine tooth blade mounted backwards to reduce the chance of chipping chunks off the cut. But you didn't appear to have any problem. Great video by the way!
@@ReCverin Great point. I did a test cut to make sure there was no chipping. It cut with no problem. All of the cuts were clean with no issues.

Hello. I personally purchased these from Deck Expressions, which is an online store (www.deckexpressions.com). They are also available through Home Depot; you can order them from the Home Depot website and have them delivered to your local store or home, but I do not believe they are typically in stock at Home Depot stores. I ordered from Deck Expressions because the cost was lower. They may be available from other retailers, but these are the two that I am aware of. The post wraps are available for 4x4 and 6x6 posts.
