I know for a fact PVC and Azek trim were out 3 years ago... hahaha... This little wood trim is going to rot completely out in a year or 2 with some good moisture and rains
I would have shimmed the post so that it was supporting the house a bit so that time would not make that part sag. Then the post would be tight. Raise front with another post and hydrauluc lifts. shim old posts, lower lifts. Then put decorative trim around post bottoms. Just hate seeing the loose post.
Use a rubber mallet with a block next time so you don’t blow huge dents into the posts lol.
Most times I'd agree, but it makes no difference if you're planning on covering it with all that trim.

Jacob actually if you watched the video the metal anchor was holding the post off the cement and it wasn't in direct contact.
Nice, 45° cuts🎯
Thanks really good job and video
everybody wants to show how to trim a square post but no one wants to show how to trim a round post
Maybe make a pyramid. Use a whole saw on top to get the circle right.
Should i do this or brick wrap?
