    WHAT IS STEALTH CAMPING.
Well stealth camping is when you go out camping and hoping your not seen or heard by anyone Or even spending a night in a building or property when we are not aloud to be there ,

You only become a Walt the minute your mouth claims you served when you didn’t!
I use loads of ex British Army kit for bikepacking. I have two diff ex army woodland cammo bergens for starters!
I have never claimed to be in the Military (though I was in the sea cadets one summer holiday aged 12!). 😂
The people that claim you’re a Walt simply for using ex military gear are simply male Karens, no more no less…

Mate. I served 22 years in the Army and it doesn't bother me in the slightest seeing people in Army camo, whether it's out camping or a student in a pub. People need to get over themselves!!

Just like many others, I spent 9 years running around in the field, being as stealthy as possible wearing similar gear lol, it was great fun, if a little hard at times but fantastic memories. I'm a little older now, still young at heart, but the body now tells me differently. I go out and about playing with military radios, setting up in the field under a tarp or canvas, striking up comms with others around the world, I wouldn't be without my surplus gear, warm, hard wearing and easy to get hold of. That MRE would last me 24 hours, but OMG, the noise of that cooking bag, you could imagine a platoon in the field trying to use them to heat their meals, the wrinkling of that bag was horrendous. Thank you for taking the time to put up these videos really great watching.

I'm in the US and in the military for a long time. I've eaten hundreds of MREs and most aren't too bad. No idea why they call those cranberries what they do, but all they are is dehydrated cranberries...or we call them "Craisins" because they're cranberry raisins. I love them and buy them in our stores for snacks. The tack bread is supposed to be eaten with the PB and jelly. Pro tip: open the MRE meals along the long side since the spoon is short. Less messy...lol. I assumed Tootsie Rolls were world wide, but glad you got to try them.

Surplus gear is usually cheaper than civvy gear, it's hard wearing and ideal for keeping a low profile. It's ideal for these sort of camps. I'd go with red as it's a low frequency colour and easy on the eyes so you keep your night vision. I've always been put off bivvy bags by the getting in and out, just looks like a hassle lol

Camo nets are useful but it’s another thing that you have to carry in and out. All of my tents (12 Survivor & Snugpak) are a dark green so there’s no need. I don’t get companies that only produce bright colours for their tents. Not everybody wants a yellow, orange or red tent. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.

Hey Dan, I have a Poundland cheap inflatable pillow, it's not the best but comes in handy. Thinking of upgrading to that trekology pillow, bit pricey compared to a quid. Wondering how they compare? Does it have soft padding or something?
