Couple tips I picked up from making these a couple times:
1. Add a little bit of salt to the batter
2. Chill the batter a little before baking. Makes it easier to roll into balls
3. These taste 100 times better cold so eat them the next day!
Great ideas they worked like magic
Thanks!
Regarding the coconut flour, for anyone who does not know, 3/8 of a cup is 6 TBSP.
Thank you!
tiredgirl50 thank you
Thank you!
Thank you so much that helps a lot .
THANKS!!!đ
1 stick of butter (melted)
1 & 1/2 cups almond flour
1/2 cup powdered erythritol
Splash of vanilla
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
1 & 1/4 tbsp Beef gelatin powder
1 egg
Lilyâs chocolate chips !!
You are awesome! I was struggling to listen and write the recipe will my childrens are playing. THANK YOU!
T O thereâs no such word as childrens. đ€Šââïž
Add some salt. Always always
I made these and my suggestions are to use coconut flour (almond flour comes out more grainy), add 1 extra egg, 1 pinch of salt, and way less baking time....i baked these at 350âF for 7mins.
Can i use swerve instead? I assume i can
You are the first channel to address nut allergies. My whole life everyone is like "try almond flour" and I'm like "i'll die" SO THANK YOUUUUUUU
Lol
JmaCruiseControlfc they are seeds not nuts. Educate yourself
@@Nicopasta85 they're still potentially deadly to people with a tree nut allergy, dont be a dick.
Me too. I don't want to die eating a cookie lol.
There is an allergy cure, slowly introduce what youâre allergic to *best done with a doctor
YOU JUST MADE AN OLD WOMAN VERY HAPPY. YAAAAAY!
Grandma Liz's Kisses @
Grandma approved cookies! I'd like to try this recipe.
You're not old, just seasoned, lol.
grandmas cookies ( ͥ° ÍÊ ÍĄÂ°)
hi everyone ,if anyone else is searching for paleo diet book try Elumpa Paleo Eating Alchemist (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my colleague got cool results with it.
I made KetoConnect chewy cookies last week and took them to the bowling alley. I made both the almond flour and coconut flour versions. The overwhelming opinion was coconut flour was the best. The almond flour version was grainy. Yes, I sifted. Everyone loved the coconut version low carb or not.
Thank you Linda! Your the best
Did u use the same quantity of flour in the coconut version ?
Linda Lambright how much coconut flour did you use?
I absolutely hate almond flour, i thought it was just me.
Hi Linda! What your recipe using the coconut flour? I would like to try it. :)
I've been making these for a bit now, and they are pretty good, but with some slight variations to the recipe, I find they are significantly better. I substitute Knox Gelatin instead of Beef Gelatin, and Brown Swerve instead of plain Erythritol (or sometimes I just add a 1/2 Tbsp of Molasses). I also add a 1/2 tsp of salt. I think this makes them taste much more akin to a regular chewy chocolate chip cookie. My favorite spin on these is to add about 2oz of chopped pecans, and 1/4 cup of unsweetened coconut. I don't drink coffee, and one of the ways I'll get my MCT oil fix is to use one of these cookies to soak up a tsp of it. I find its a nice way to get my MCT when I don't have time to really prep something.
How much Knox do you use.?
Thanks!
@@lisag1829 Originally I used a whole packet(approx 2.25 - 2.5 tsp), but I cut it back to half a packet, and I think the results are just as good, if not better.
Can you use honey?
@@constancenewton3961 As a sweetener replacement? No. Honey is very high in carbs, most of which are from sugar.
AMAZING! I love that I am able to offer a low carb choice for our coffee bar at church tomorrow. We have many people following a keto lifestyle and these cookies are a game changer! I doubled the batch and was able to make 45 decent sized cookies. Thank you for all your hard work!
Also. Theo is adorable! I love seeing your family grow and change.
I just put the coconut version in the oven because I am allergic to almonds. I used unflavored Knox gelatin since I had it on hand and I added an extra egg and a pinch of salt as others have suggested.. I will update on how they were :)
UPDATE these have to be the best keto cookies I have ever had. Seriously you can almost think these were made with regular sugar and flour
This recipe is saving lives đđ I have been craving a chewy cookie! Thanks for doing the work for me! đđŸ
Keila Keto ME TOO!!!! This post was a gift from God!!đđœđđđđœ
Omg yay!! I want to make some keto friendly lactation cookies!! Help!! Mama to another mamađđđ
If beef gelatin grosses you out just use one teaspoon of Xantham gum for the same chewy effect ...đ
Zantham gum is hard on the gut.
Could I use flax meal instead? I have used flax meal instead of xantham gum in other recipes, but they said I could substitute the xantham for flax meal.
I was wondering if Psyllium Husk Powder might work instead of the beef gelatin.
I used 1 single packet of unflavored Knox gelatin ...they came out awesome
can not stand xantham gum yuck
1/2 cup or less of erythritol came out very sweet, I suggest 1 1/2 tbs, also 19 minutes in the oven for a crispy texture. Amazing Coconut Cookies. Thank you.
I said this before and I will say it again. The thing I love about your channel is, the vast majority of your recipes are idiot proof. Anybody with a room temp cooking IQ can make your recipes. You guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Room temp cooking IQ haha Sounds like a gorden ramsey quote!
So, 64* and Iâll still get it? đđđ
You know I never noticed because Iâm not an idiot, however now that you mention it, this comment section isnât filled with derpy asinine questions a 3yo would know the answer to, so I think youâre right! Normally when I read comments after a recipe online I think omgggggggg I could NeVER have a recipe blog. Iâd go postal the first week with all the stupid questions
Room temp IQ lol
Never heard that before.

Bless you and your children and your children's children.
You guys are both gems. Thanks so much for what you do.
Made these tonight. I used regular gelatine, and added 1tsp ground flax seed, baked 18 mins @ 350 and they turned out perfectly! đđŒâ€ïž
How much gelatine did you used? Samr measurement as in the recipe?
Thank you for the temperature and oven time!!!
Omg thanks!
Thanks - I was wondering about that 'cause I only have regular gelatine that I want to use up.
Dear Keto Connect,
I made these for the 4th of July with my nieces and I was so glad I had them! There were so many good things to eat, so whenever those got pulled out, I pulled these out. Thanks for posting the recipe!!
I was sad when she didn't get cookies but then I got happy that she got to make her own!
These were so good! I'll be making them again & again. This was my first time watching your videos. Entertaining & informative! I subscribed immediately.
I love coconut flour, I use it for every baked goods. Thanks for the video!
I'm gonna cry THANK YOU I have a nut allergy and finding food is SO HARD the alternative recipe is amazing
I'm so glad I found your channel! Love your recipes and the fact that you kept them simple. My first one I tried were the tortillas. Very nice change from having to use lettuce. Thanks! :)
I made these yesterday. They were perfect and this will be my go to chocolate chip cookie recipe from now on! I didn't have chocolate chips, but I had a bar of Lily's chocolate, so I just chopped them up. I also didn't have a stick of butter, but I had ghee, so I used that too. I used a little bit less than half a cup.
beadedbudgie mine smelled good but tasted way too buttery. I'm going to toss them đą
samantha wilson I added a Tbsp of ground flax and 1 Tbsp of all purpose flour and 3 Tbsp of almond flour and 2 tsp of collagen. And cut the baking powder in half. PERFECT!!!
Pancakes
I try this well the crunchy version and they didnât expand because the recepie said no need to but they are lil balls đ€·đœââïž
I made your recipe today and loved it perfect fix for my sweet tooth. Thanks for sharing.
You guys are adorable and he scooped the dough so neatly, I canât wait to try the recipe thank you

Trina James but how does stevia taste in baked goods? I really donât like it in anything so far but Iâm new to keto. Even my monk fruit drops taste weird in hot coffee.
Trina James see at you at the shops
You had me at â1 bowlâ
Chocolate chip cookies are MY FAVORITE
I am definitely going to give this recipe a try
Thanks!
Holly AB i agree! The woman who accidentally invented them (she thought adding the chocolate chips would just make a chocolate cookie) should be given a Nobel Award posthumously.
YOU GUYS ARE KILLING IT! Yes!!!! Just made these and they are indeed awesome. MUST TRY!
Just made these my 4 kids LOVE them. I love them. My wife loves them. AWESOME!
Iâm so happy you guys decided to make 2 batches! One with the almond flour and the other with coconut flour. THANK YOUđđđ
This is now my favorite cookie recipe thank you again for all the awesome videos and recipes.
Just made the almond flour version: THANK YOU!đ I'll try the coconut version next time. đ
I finally made the coconut version and they were so good. Thanks for the recipe !
wow! i just tried the almond flour recipe and it is really good! definitely satisfied my cookie craving thank you!!
Ran to the kitchen after watching video...Had all ingredients. Phenomenal recipe.
Found the gelatin cheaper on Netrition. Have to pay shipping, but if you're ordering other stuff, comes out cheaper. I found Lily's chips and also Pascha unsweetened chips on this site...Lily's chips are much cheaper on Netrition also. Excited to try these recipes!
Thanks, I tried this recipe (w/almond flour), absolutely love them!
Made these today, they're great. Whole family loves them.
Megha!!!!! I love youâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž I can't eat almonds either, or dairy( but dairy is easier to substitute). Thank you for coming up with an almond alternative recipe. đđ».
I made the coconut ones. Delicious! I used 1t Xanthan gum in place of gelatin and 1/2T of molasses in place of Erythritol and added 1/4t pink salt. Soooo goooood!!
I thought the beef gelatin could be replaced by xanthan gum but I wasn't entirely sure. Thanks for confirming that for those who don't want to buy ingredients online.
I have made these so many times and everybody I make them for just loves them. Thanks for the great recipe!
Made these today - Almond flour version, sooooo delicious! Thanks KC
Made the almond flour cookies today. Got blanched almond flour from costco and brown sugar erythritol from Target. I just used 2 Knox Gelatin sachets (not sure if it's equivalent). 1 and 1/2 cups of almond flour didn't seem to cut it. I had to go 2 and 1/4 cups of flour to get the right consistency. I like thick chewy cookies, so made huge scoops and spread them out a little. Some of them I rolled into a ball with my hand and then flattened. Both varieties came out great! Next time (oh I'd definitely making these again) I'm going to use just the scooper and not ball them up by hand.
Thank you so so much for this recipe! The cookies are delicious and very very heavy. I had one for lunch with a glass of milk and I was instantly full and very satisfied.
I only have Knox too, gonna try it!
Yeah, I had to add 1/4 c coconut flour to the 1 1/2 c of almond flour and it came out really good! Added a pinch of salt, too! Yummy!
How many at a time can you have?
After a few weeks on plan, I needed this! I just made them and they are AWESOME!!!
You two are great. Thank you for spreading the cookie đȘ love.
God bless you.
How could you guys not be waaay over a million subs yet?!! Love you channel....I share your videos & tell everyone I know how awesome your recipes & you guys are :)
Lorie Lee iiiii
Thank you so much guys! I substituted Almond flour for Finley ground almond meal, Erythritol for a little less monkfruit granules & beef gelatin for regular gelatin powder & they turned out amazing! I also added a some chopped up walnuts & a little extra butter đ
Almond flour IS ground almond meal :)
I made these both ways: the coconut flour version is good, but the almond flour version is a step above- so delishâŁïž
I just made the almond flour version of these cookies and after waiting for them to cool I have to say and my husband agrees that these are the best! I have tried many other recipes and the secret ingredient really is a game changer. It can be pretty expensive to bake Keto so I'm really happy with the texture and flavor of these cookies. I used unflavored knox gelatin since that's all I had. Amazing results. Thank you Keto Connect!
I just made these for the 3rd time and they are always great. My daughter wanted to help and put everything in a bowl so i just melted the lilys chocolate chips for a few seconds and just mixed it all together and the cookies came out like a fudge brownie cookie. Yummy đ Now i have chocolate fudge brownie cookie recipe
That sounds great...gotta try that!
yummm..thanks for that idea! Maybe I"ll use that idea...and swirl some low carb peanut butter into the mix! but just swirl..and not completely mix together.
Sheila P. Did you try it yet? Let me know how they turned out. â€ïž
Beef gelatin. Good Score! How about using some of both flours? Good one guys. Thanks!
Just made these and they are AMAZING! Thank you sooo much!
These are amazing, thank you for the recipe!!!
So much trickery!! I was disappointed only almond flour recipe then bam half way thru you guys do a coconut flour style...thank you!
I just made the almond cookie...ok I changed up something. I added coconut flakes and 2 tbs cream cheese. A few drops of buttered toffee stevia I just bought. It's not too strong so I doubt I'll buy again.
But....the cookies are the bomb
Thank you for including a coconut flour version!!! đđœââïžâ€ my 5 yr old son is allergic to treenuts so I shy away from anything including almond flour.
Love this! I've been doing Paleo for 3 months, very similar to keto minus the dairy. I really want to try making both of these it looks so good!
New sub loving all the keto recipes - a life saver! Also i totally love how Matt is always repping Detroit in his tees (I went to school in Corktown :D )
Oh wow, this is perfect. When Megha was making the coconut flour cookies, I was doubtful of the outcome but it surprised me in the end result. It was hard to tell the difference by the look...they both look delicious!
I have made this recipe several times with the coconut flour version and it's always amazingly good!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
I love this! Canât wait to try the recipe thanks guys â€ïž
I been waitin for this recipe , thank you.
oh, I bet you have Bob.
Oh my, oh my. I made these and we loved them. (definitely let them cool) My husband and I are kind of old and wanted to try pecans and cinnamon (we are from the snickerdoodle generation)...Oh my goodness, so good... I added a tiny bit of cream cheese on top of the pecan cookies before baking and that was just an added Yahoo!!! Thank you so much!
Kind of old? Okaaaiiii
Can't wait to make these... and I had to laugh watching this video. You too make a perfect couple, and congrats on the birth of your new son!
Hands down the best keto cookies I've ever made. Thanks Matt, I made the almond flour ones and used regular gelatin instead of the beef collagen. I also made a couple with nuts and cinnamon. They are both delicious and if you leave them out a bit they're crunchy like a real cookie. Awesome!!!!
Chewy chocolate chip cookies + your ice cream recipe = HEAVEN! Ooh! I wonder if you can use this cookie recipe as a base for cheesecake!
Can you substitute trivia brown sugar
Omg cookie crust cheesecake....genius!
DrellyBee504 good idea
Wow! What a good idea!
I would bake the cookies, let cool and sit for a day or two, then crush them in a food processor, then use as crustđ
Thank you! Turned out perfect!!!! Found âchoc chips at Whole Foods! Livinâ that KETO life!!!!đ
These are so amazing! I just made them and Iâm so so so thankful! Unfortunately my dad who has a MAJOR sweet tooth and is a diabetic is just too darn picky for anything that simply isnât cane sugar in his baked goods. Lucky me tho!!! Loved them!
Just made those cookies, WOW, amazing recipe, thank you guysđđ»đđ»
Can't wait to try this , can you also do a recipe for pumpkin muffins?
Made both of these! SUGGEST: For the sugar I used 1/2 SUKRIN BROWN SUGAR (buy on Amazon) and 1/2 Swerve. For the almond flour ones I used 1/2 each. In the coconut I used 2/3 Swerve to 1/3 of the sugar called for of the Sukrin Brown sugar. Both came out AMAZING! Yes, Lilly's are super expensive. But I found them in a local store for $6 a bag. You only use about 1/2 a bag for a full recipe that is packed with the chips. You can also buy a Lilly's bar and chop it up (which I do for making coffee chip ice cream). I use a full-tablespoon, leveld off, for the right size for me (both recipes). It yields more than suggested in the recipe. I thought this was perfect!
Walmart has the choc chips for 3.50 cents..
I made the coconut flour Keto chocolate chips today and they were AMAZING!!! I forgot to add the baking powder but they were fine. Thank you guys. My husband started Keto this month and lost 18lbs in one month. Being the supportive wife, I joined him. We both love watching your videos. Keep it up! We look forward to more delicious recipes from you both.
I've been making the coconut version and I love it! In fact, this is the only cookie recipe (coconut) I make now. đ„ đđ
your little lisp comes out and its super adorable. YOure the cutests matt.
Nice!
Always interested in a new ingredient that I haven't tried.
Adding Beef gelatin powder to the grocery list.
Travis In Canada I take gelatin in my tea ir coffee everyday. Two teaspoons a day. You will never have loose skin. Consistency is key though
how about ghost peppers
Thanks a lot for this recipe, I tried it amazing.
Wow! thank you guys for sharing this đ! This was my first time making a keto baked good/ dessert and this was wonderful and very easy. I used regular unflavored gelatin and the coconut flour version. They turned out great!
im going to try this and put half coconut flour and half almond flour.
These were the bomb as snickerdoodles rolled in erythritol and cinnamon as another viewer commented... the coconut flour worked out well but my cookies did spread somewhat. it was tough not to eat the whole pile at once! Thanks for the recipe :)
Glad to see this because i was wanting to see this successfully modified into a snickerdoodle! Guessing the cookie dough base isn't *that* sweet to accommodate additional sweetness from something else?
Made the coconut cookies tonight and came out PERFECT! Kids and wife loved them as well.
Will be trying the almond ones next time. Excellent recipe guys, thanks for the hard work.
Beef gelatin was definitely a game changer.. thanks for sharing!
Cheers!
Made these last night...AMAZING!!! Still moist and chewy today and everyone who tried them enjoyed them. This will be a go to for me to bring to parties for myself so I'm not tempted by deserts!! Thanks
I made a batch earlier this evening, so I could take "dessert" with me..oh my goodness, so good..I did add a few more things..to the original almond cookie recipe, I added 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, half cup walnuts, a pinch of salt and two tablespoons heavy whipping cream. I didn't have "Lily's" chips, so I used Hershey's sugar free (I know, they are not the best ingredients, but they work for me)..I used one third cup xylitol, and half cup erythritol..batter was not sweet enough, so I added a bit of stevia, and 2 tablespoons of Pyure. 350 at 15 min, turned oven off and let cool. Oh my goodness gracious!
So Knox Gelatin is the same thing. we did the research, other than it being from a different animal.
Also, I Tried these... Best cookie yet. Thank you
Thank you, I was just going to ask about the Knox gelatin , that's all I have at home.
I used Knox too !
How much??
I've been looking all over Austin Texas and I just now came across your comment. So thank you very much. They are $1.98 per packet and of course you can buy smaller packages. It doesn't have to be the one pound bag. Happy camper here!
@Tekkerzs he is exactly right when he says they spread when they cool but help them out a little. Mine were not thin at all. The Knox gelatine comes in a 1oz box which is 2tbsp. I doubled the recipe so I used 6 packets.
I just tried your recipe and they came out delicious! I didn't have the gelatin and still they tasted great! Thanks!
I am in tears. This is the best thing to happen for me as sweets is the hardest for me to not eat. I waited 3 days for the beef gelatin to come on amazon and I made batch tonight. Thank you so much, they taste good!
Ok.. so I tried the recipe as described and the cookies came out âOk". For the second batch I made some changes that made this a really great Cookie!
1. Brown the butter on the stove top and blend in the swerve until light in color to aerate it.
2. Add 1 tsp of maple extract and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon! It makes up for the lack of Brown suger. In the original recipe.
3. Add cocanut flakes and chopped walnuts.
Tarik Dowd there is brown sugar swerve ! But thanks sounds good
@@TyphanyGarcia non of the stores in my area carry it unfortunately
I wonder about mixing the flours. I find mixing flours and sweeteners sometimes makes for a better texture and sweet profile. I am gonna try that secret ingredient. It seem weird but last week I made the scotcharoos from "All day I dream about food"....using pork rinds ...and it was hands down one of the best sweet treat I have made on keto, rich and decadent and so like a chocolate covered peanut butter rice Krispy treat!
I can't find that recipe? Would you mind sharing yours please?

Had everything for the coconut version but the baking soda and they sure are good. And just by chance I had the Knox gelatin, so good.
Thank you ketoconnect and the viewers for the advice for substitute ingredients.
I'm new to keto and new to finding your channel!!! Thank you for this!!! Am definitely going to try it!! You guys are awesome!!!
Have you tried doing a 1/2 almond flour, 1/2 coconut flour combined recipe?
I love undercooked chewy cookies. I am going to undercook these a few minutes and see how it goes
John C what was the verdict??????
Just tried this recipe love it.
Ahhh! Yay! Iâm saving this for later! Thank you guys for postingâșïžđ
Made the almond flour one, but I included some shredded coconut too. Very good. I prefer that to the coconut flour one.
I've added orange extract to kill erythrytols metallic aftertaste and I think it's a game changer for most baking recipies. Very tasty. Thanks for sharing! :)
nioxi orange chocolate chip cookies? Yikes. But other extracts would work too. Maple, rum, butter even banana extract sounds better than orange. But then again I donât get an aftertaste from erythritol S
@@Puglover130 haha you are lucky if you don't get that aftertaste ;)
I think chocolate and orange pair well together, but taste is very subjective matter :) Whatever makes us happy :)
Omg this is my problem with the fake sweeteners..I cant stand them because of that weird metallic aftertaste...so thank u for this info..MVP!
I don't understand why they don't just use monk fruit. It's 1:1 sugar in sweetness and it has zero net carbs. It tastes exactly like sugar and there is no after taste. đ€·
Woww awesome recipes
Definitely will give it a try
These were great, thank you! The only substitute I made was I used Agar Powder instead of beef gelatin and it did the job well.
What about adding some walnuts?
Made these tonight. Half the batter chocolate chips. Half with macadamia nuts đđŒ thx for the gelatin powder tip!
We've made these three times now and we used ordinary supermarket gelatine powder and they were perfect. The first time we used chopped walnuts instead of chocolate chips and they were just the best cookies ever. The next time we made two batches, one with shredded coconut instead of chocolate chips, and the other batch with raw cacao powder and cacao nibs. The chocolate ones were a tad on the dry side so next time we will adjust the measurements of the other ingredients. Thanks guys xx
Where have you guys been all my life! I love your videos trying to binge watch and get inspired!! Thanks!!
