The 370z has vdc (traction control). Even when you push the button to turn it off, it remains on by 25%. Under/behind the centrer console is the module, disconnect it and you will be able to do a burnout. It will display a light but it will run perfectly fine.

You can usually just unhook a wheel speed sensor/ hub. And it’ll turn it off.
You might want to invest in one of those tall shop oil cans that has an adjustment funnel height. That will save on messes on the floor.

If you are going to do a burnout make sure you take the rear brake calipers of and block the lines., So you don't cook the disc and pads and cause a fire. The rear brakes are fighting the car when you have the brake pedal on.
The mustang should 100% get a tune before doing a burnout. It shouldn't miss like that. Either its blowing spark out or the a/f mixture is wrong. You should get that dialed before.
@@beckyumphrey2626 Im not sure about that. They mentioned in another video that they never got it tuned on a dyno. Dyno tuning would have this thing right for burnout competition.

Leaving cars sit for long times and then ripping them will kill the cars real quick. The best way to rip a car is to drive it normally for 4 weeks around town and get everything flowing In the engine and wiring, give the ecu time to learn the fuel map. Some ecus are hard learning with a slightly adjustable fuel map to compensate people driving from sea level to high altitude. Some cars ecu will also reset when the battery goes completely empty
For the burnouts, need to get a line lock for the front wheels. Otherwise, have a blast! Wheels spinnin, keep grinnin!!

PULL THE STOP LAMP FUSE OR THE VDC FUSE ON THE 370Z AND ENJOY !!!! OR SPLICE INTO THE YAW SENSOR AND MAKE A KILL SWITCH SO YOU CAN TURN IT ON AND OFF IN THE CAR
Test that switch in the center console! I know some people wire that fuse to a button to turn it on/off since you don't have break lights with the fuse out.

Love the collaboration and seeing you guys with a lot of other elite youtubers. Wish Vtune was part of that as well. Here's an idea, every time you finish a vehicle,you take it to a track and run through a series of tests (0-60, 1/4 m, 1/2 m, lap time, stopping distance, etc.) and keep a tote board of how they stack up. I know 4x4s don't exactly match up with Lamborghinis, but it would still be fun to see how they perform compared to stock.

You boys need to reinforce the roof of the office so you can start storing the new parts that come in so they're not laying around getting damaged. Just don't blow up the Mustang, just remember though once some rubber is laid down on the pad it gets harder to spend so smaller engine might not be a good choice

Yeah, that's what Derik does from VGG. His Chevelle looks like crap, but he always does well in the burn out competitions. He's a good driver too.
@@timglass6041 yup it's basically guaranteed they will destroy the rear quarter panels, have an incident with the wall, or destroy something in the drivetrain. Not a wise choice for a burnout car.
I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.

A simple line lock for the rear wheels is way easier and cheaper than taking any brakes apart. And if you run the tires til they blow, those rear quarters may blow with it. Find some skinny tires that hug the inside of the fender wells.
Or just take the 370 instead!

@@michaelwynne4346 he means running it opposite from how you normally would. So when you switch it on it keeps pressure from going to the brakes, instead of keeping on them.

If you guys take the mustang and plan to go until the tires blow... you might want to order a pair of quarter panels, because the tires blowing may cause some severe damage to the inner and outer quarter panels. Love you guys are doing this though. Hope to see more collaborations! Maybe enter the AWD cop car in spectator drags if they are having that at Bristol!

The Mustang for sure. Make sure you inflate the tires at least 20lbs over what they say.
To get your flames is simple small propane tanks for each side with nozzles tapped into the tail pipe all the igniter would be simple spark plug or grill igniters tapped also in the tail pipes , keep up the great job love your videos and can’t wait for the next ones, oh and the dang sauce is awesome!

The mustang needs a dyno tune before any burnout contest if you don't want the engine to blow before the tyres, just to make sure that the afr is good and the timing not too agressive.

I had the same problem with my Z lift the front end up it takes a while to bleed the system and Z1 motor sports also makes a piece to make it easier with bleeding the system good luck guys .
Spoiler don’t make downforce while doing burnouts, high speed makes the downforce 100+mph for performance anything else creates drag and hinders performance

Take the GT to the comp, if anything y'all can have another little rebuild series on it, bring it back to it's roots, and just clean up and sell the Z instead of potentially damaging it and prolonging it sitting around

Either way, a good trick is to run a wide all terrain tyre like a BF Goodrich. They don't smoke as well but they go forever!

I would replace those sticky expensive Michelins you have on the back of the mustang with cheaper, lower traction tires- easier burnouts and less wear and tear on the drivetrain. Another top vid, keep up the good stuff guys!🦘🐨

Hard for an old man like me to watch the destruction of a decent car on a burnout pad. Heck, even the destruction of a pair of new tires seems like a waste. Add in body damage or destruction of a motor. Besides, to be honest, the cars barely produced any smoke at all. How much is a participation ribbon worth? You would probably make more by selling un-damaged. Then again I don't have the disposable income that the two of you do so do what you want.

Personally, I felt the 370 was a good addition since it was something new for you guys (air ride, wide body kit). I love how it looks, and always hoped you wouldn't do anything Whistling Diesel like on it... Running out of quality youtubers I can stand to watch.
I feel they are also now feeling the pinch. For a while they were a stand out channel. Good wholesome car channel that did their best on cars. Unfortunately, if you look back the number of viewers are dropping which is possibly affecting their lifestyles. Seems now they notice some other channels like Cleatus McWrecker and Whistlin' Dickhead and are trying to emulate them. The channel is getting stale and they are doing things like cutting up cars for short term cash fixes. Unfortunately that is losing them subscribers who liked the old Goonzquad.
@@Smurphenstein I know them selling the hellcat and others is to help with later projects. But right now they are in the process of getting set up for life without youtube, which is smart. Because at some point they will run outta ideas. Fixing cars was great, but they went with the bigger(expensive) is better. And should go back and work on other cars not high end. But what gets me is they did this work to the cars, and never using them really. When if they took a break after the build to use the vehicles, it would get the views. We don't just wanna see the cars get built and sit right?

Exhaust Flames: place spark plugs in the tips. Wire them to an ignition source. To do it requires fuel to get into the pipes then ignited at the back with engine off. Big thing in the 50’s. Big thing with low riders. I think they do it when they drop the frame to make sparks. Best done at night.
You have to burp the cooling system. There is a bleeder on the coolant line on the back right of the engine. Learned that one the hard way.

It's only a Mustang they build them everyday. Burn it down if that what it takes. Realistically they have no chance with a street Mustang so just go and have fun with your car. Most all the competition will be purpose build burn out only cars.

The burnout competitors sometimes put cheap steel spoke wheels and not so wide tires to burnout. If you use the good wheels and wide tires it puts a lot of extra torque on your drivetrain.
Those vq’s never let you burn out have to hold the little button on the bottom break while you do it supper tricky .
