  • Using asymmetrical functional movement patterns, we will synchronize your left and right brain hemispheres, and increase levels of BDNF (Brain Derived Neurotropic Factor). These movements come from Qigong, Tai Chi, and Kung Fu, and are also great for clearing joint pain and stiffness, and improving flexibility, proprioception, and mobility. Whether you are an athlete who wants to see your body perform at it's best, or an ordinary person looking to retain your physical and mental suppleness as you get older, this program will be one you want to put in your weekly rotation.
There is also evidence to suggest brain hemispheric synchronization could be helpful in alleviating some of the symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Check out my interview with martial arts instructor and psychiatric nurse Jon Hatfield to learn more: • Kung Fu for Autism Rec...

Nick, this is the first time I could not follow one of your chigong routines. I recommend doing a re-take: show the first exercise from the back right away. And the second exercise as well. and slow dooooown!!!

Even at half speed the first 5 minutes are challenging for me on the first try. It feels so good for my tight, aching body.
FWIW I really like the outdoor settings.👍
...and thank you for expanding my vocabulary (proprioception!)

Its a great word, right?! Half speed is a good idea. I didn't mean to go so fast in the beginning - I was just cold out there! haha

I found parts of this challenging, but haven't given up. I've been practicing this over the past week, and I'm glad I stuck with it. Each day I get a little better with this. It's now one of my favorite Nick videos to wake up and balance my brain and body in the morning.

Apparently my left and right hemisphere don’t know how to play together yet. The tea pot and the luge flow were quite challenging for me. Thank you. 🤗

Thanks so much for the incredible practice! I'm going to have to visit again at least once before I get that double teacup down. 😂 I felt like I could just have well taken a little dance break during that part, but I'll keep at it! I think my favorite part though is the disappearing instructor at the end. Qigong is magic! ✨

I love the independent movements of the arms, but find I can succeed better in automatic, imitation mode rather than engaging the mind, where I get confused immediately!

Hi, Nick! Thanks for answering my comment. I have just done this set and enjoyed it very much. Some of the exercises are rather challenging, I am going to include them into my daily routine. I like the set "5 element quigong" (45 min) as well, it's so relaxing, thank you very much for your awesome job. I wish you millions of subscribers. Have a nice day and take care. dear Nick, hi, how's it going? I found this class the most difficult to follow among your videos.... I'll need to go over this video several times to understand how to do the postures...if you slowed down a bit with the earlier postures it would be easier to follow. I am not the fastest learner but once I get it, I get it for good. wishing you a very healthy and happy holiday season and to all those following you here.... peace and thanks so much, Mark
