      Wtf are you talking about. Did you just come up with your own theory to justify why the game wasn't at fault? I mean yes logically that should be the case based on the cable roll pack. But if you paid attention you'd notice the length is actually irrelevant as even when you reach max length the other hand still can go quite far. And even when he was getting stopped it was being stopped at angles that imply it's being stopped by something in front of it rather than reaching the limits of cable. Better yet, play the game and you will see for yourself.

      @@Zarkyun the circle in the center of the screen also was like a range meter that was shared between both hands you can see the circle empty when he shot the blue across the room with the 4 power cubes. That's when I first noticed it at 19:43. this is very poorly implemented and never explained it seems.

      Im worried that that's all their capable of. Kind of like an all show and no substance sort of deal. I want their game to be more than just a walking simulator with occasional easy puzzles and chases if you get what i mean.

    I am in love with the floppiness of Huggy's animation. It's so hard to animate something to actually look that limp when it's moving and I think that's why he's so unsettling

    Poppy Playtime has potential, here's to hoping they knock it out of the park for the future chapters. They did pretty darn well with this first one.

      The one thing I have a problem with it is the Doll’s design. It looks like it’s straight out of a twitter artist who look at the old dolls and said “hmph! I can make a better design!” I prefer the uncanny old dated doll look imo.

      @@alecetym6246 I have ADHD and simple puzzles like the ones he was trying to solve in the first part of the video usually aren't a problem. So to cut it short. The problem lies not in the fact if he has ADHD or not. The problem is that Vinny boy is just a bit unobservant.

    It's interesting that in Burger & Frights you are traveling towards Tuonela, which is the realm of the dead in Finnish mythology. In Tuonela the dead wander around as shadowy figures, a bit like those other cyclists.

      I thought the word had some significance, as an English speaker I thought it was just some word for tunnel, especially since we eventually hit the tunnel. It made a lot more sense when I looked this up. I ended up playing this game on my own, and I found out there's some stuff Vinny missed, certain triggers that happen, and it spooked the fuck out of me. It's a very effective horror game, which combines anticipation and unknowns. The only thing I would change is obfuscating the face of the dead girl, which I think would add a level of tension.

      @@foulcharacter3863 An extra message wouldn't hurt, and wouldn't be necessary for people who aren't as blind as Vinny. If you realize the circle in the center is your cable length, you won't need the message anyways. Win-win. They also really should've put a screen explaining the mechanic in the tutorial VSH.

      It should have a unique sound effect / animation for this circumstance. If it looks identical to hitting a wall then it isn't intuitive enough. You should always assume your players are Vinny at max brainrot like he was in this playthru

    Vinny laughs at Burger & Frights but this is the kind of shit I imagined riding my bike home from friends' houses at night. I watched someone else play this game and it awoke childhood traumas in me I had forgotten I had.

      I used to never notice it, but recently I can very easily see when screen tearing is happening and it is very immersion breaking. I also still game on a 60hz monitor, so idk.

    Vinny, if you ever get to read this, the "jittery framerate" issues you have over several past streams/vods are due to the borderless fullscreen or windowed mode. Change it to exclusive fullscreen and it will go away automagically.

    Vinny is the only one I've seen so far take more than like 15 minutes to get to the scary part of Spoopy Playtime. Probably because he turned every single room into a labyrinth of arm-goo like he was spraying the place with crazy string to find explosive wires and then called the game "jank" from the ensuing problemés.

      plus it seemed like his main "jank" critique was the framerate issues he was having (and while it may not be jank I think it's fair that he assumed the hands awkwardness was weird hitboxes and aiming, given that it didn't seem clearly communicated either through tutorials or animation that he was running out of wire. Like if the hand kind of flopped downwards a bit when you ran out it would seem less like you're getting stuck on weird walls, idk)

    That Burger and Frights game was really cool for a browser game, I love how games can be unsettling and they don’t even need to resort to having a big budget/high end graphics/loud noises/jumpscares/etc
    That being said, Poppy was also pretty neat too, the buildup to actually seeing Huggy chasing you, especially with the animations it has, was really well done

    2:03:41 I think a simpler answer than all of that, at least for me, is that it's a whole style, you know? Like pixelart, low fidelity/low poly 3D is a whole art form and art medium to work in, and I am really glad to see it continue to be explored, rather than just forgotten and cast aside as 'outdated'. I think theres a lot to be made in that style still
