MOSA LINA (Release Version) - Any% Speedrun in

This run didn't feel like anything special until I hit the final screen; I didn't expect to already be at the final level! I didn't look at the timer once during the run until it was over.
This is the culmination of about 18 hours of attempts since my last PB. Strangely, I think changing some OBS settings to reduce lag went a long way here, but I also just got a really generous seed. I have basically no complaints with this run.

how do you make the item screen go by faster?

in the release version you could do it by pressing 3 on the keyboard and it'd toggle it for the rest of the session. nowadays, you can speed it up by playing the bespoke speedrun mode in the pause menu or by holding A during it

Main things are being able to plan out how you're going to use your tools when you start the level. You don't want to get yourself stranded away from the portal.
As well, you'll need to get good at mashing to be able to box / fish / spear / ball jumps and all that.
There's a lot going on and for every run you see here there are probably about 4 or so hours of footage of me fucking up beforehand, so you just need to be able to play at a high level for a long period of time to maximize your chances. You can be picky with levels at the beginning if you want, but usually even if I have a slow-ish starter level I will try and play the seed out until I make a big mistake or hit a roadblock just to improve the odds of finding those rare lucky levels or loadouts.
As well, you'll cut a good amount of time just by being picky with the 9 tools at the beginning, I usually try to get delete / butterfly, and ideally frog and impulse too

as someone who's never played mosa Lina before could get a minute 30 run solely because of their luck
and skill just helps overcome bad luck and energizes good luck
