- I am at Uncle Linny's restaurant in Pontoon Beach, IL about to take on their Triple Linny burger challenge. This huge burger comes with three 1.5 pound burgers and a pile of fries. The burger comes dressed and has a 40 minute time limit. If we are successful we are supposed to get a hat. This is day two of our St. Louis area trip and @OldGuyEats chose this challenge. Hailey was incredible and took great care of us during the challenge and the burger was great but clearly someone behind the scenes didn't want us to win and the restaurant didn't have the prize for winning even if we did! All in all we made the most of it and it made for a fun video!

Eli, you brought up something that recently dawned on me with the last Joel Hanson challenge I recently watched. That the cooks sabotaged him by putting a shockingly amount of salt within his giant burrito! I didn't think of that until after I had already written a comment. However, you saying that you feel you were deliberately sabotaged gives me the opportunity to mention about Joel. He shouldn't have completed that challenge. Too much salt can be extremely dangerous. Too many onions, can only be grassy!! But, the cooks should not have done that. It gives the restaurant a bad name. They should be fired!!!

Unfortunately sometimes challenges aren't always equal. Sometimes they are accidental and then there are times that it is deliberate. Ultimately it is our choice whether to proceed or not. I remember one time I had a challenge that was quite a bit larger than the previous challenge but it was made by someone who had never put one together. It's hard to keep everything completely fair unless scales are involved. I can't control how I am treated but I can always control how I behave. I hope that I acted appropriately.
No, not really my friend. If the establish has no honor in presenting its own challenge fairly and as described- why the hell would I trust their descriptions in the menu?

Nice job guys! Burger looked great, but, man, yeah, way too many onions. Tomatoes or lettuce I wouldn’t of mind. Great fry ball, too. When I did the Bardzilla where I fell just short, they may have cheated me a little as they gave me way more fries than just a basket, but it’s all good. I did try a fryball then and I have to say it does help save time. St. Louis is awesome as back in 2006, Marija and I hung out, saw and went up the arch, a very small capsule going up and small area at the top of it, also saw St. Louis Cardinals game seeing Pujols hit a home run, so cool!
It's a great area, sometimes we get more than we're supposed to but we have to roll with the punches.

I eat a 1/2 onion with a bowel of green beans. When green onions are ready in the garden i will eat 4 or 5 with a meal. Good job guys.

I love me some sweet onions on a burger. And a salad. The fries have to right. And a great fry sauce to go with them xss maybe some catsup. I would like some condiments for the burger. A vanilla milkshake is good with a burger all the way ,fries and a piece of blueberry cream pie for desert. 🍔🍟🥤
This restaurant had some amazing looking pies and cakes as we entered. They all looked great and would have complimented the burger very well.

It was a great burger and we still had a great time. The onions were a heavy handed but in the end we got the win and I didn't have to swipe a ketchup bottle for the prize!

I really thought it was going to bring back some hype to the restaurant it was so sad to hear that it was closing after such a fun time with the challenge. Glad you were able to finish the burger and the all you can eat salad they supplied alongside of it

@NotoriousBOB thanks buddy! It was wild and made for a memorable challenge. I'm sure you could write a book on things like this over your career.
Best thing to do is get a detailed list of what is Included in the challenge , number of pickles, onion tomatoes etc. It dont matter what the food is, burger, pizza, wings etc. Always get a detailed description from the manager and make sure they stick to the agreement
That would be the most fair. I doubt too many places would do it however.

Oh my God that's a huge ass burger excuse my French but damn lol I love it 😆 you know what I would have done with that burger if I were to do a challenge like that I would have put everything on the burger right I mean everything and then cut it in four squares and then cut it in another couple of squares and eat it that way that's just the way I would have did it LOL but you guys are doing good from what I see so far this was good I enjoyed this from beginning to end 👍
That's probably a better way to do it, especially for flavor. We deconstructed it and ate it by layers both for speed and a little bit of fun too.

I did look at pictures on google maps. There was one burger indicated as the chalange. It also had quiet a bit of onions and tomatoes. Not sure if it was the same amount so. They did not show the sides to compare.
I do wish they had the hat! The burger was tasty and Amber enjoyed her food as well. Haley was very nice and in the end we had a great time.

I think if a place is going to offer a food challenge, then they should have the terms clearly stated. For instance, they need to say how much dressing is required to eat with the burger, it's granted that they will include some, but not a whole onion! Certainly not a pound of jalapenos. But yall won, so great job.
