I haven’t had a chance to test it yet but some guides tell that since Mandragora swarms are not immune to prone, the Heightened Grease spell should help to keep them at bay.

The amount of prep work you need for fights like this is just insane, but yeah, the mandragora swarms suck. Having said that, my usual way to deal with them is a combination of Obsidian Flow (which slows them down greatly and does fire damage) and Scirocco. Also I'm not opposed to cheese and wouldn't mind you doing it. You do play on Unfair after all, so you're not compelled to play fair either as I see it. For myself, I usually only do it in action games, at which I'm not so good. Relatively speaking - I did finish Elden Ring, but that game gives you a lot of tools to make things easier.

Mandragora swarms do have a special place reserved in fiery hell for them :p obsidian flow does sound nice indeed!
Man, with the DLC coming up and you mentioning it I've been feeling like replaying Elden Ring :p but I think at this point I'll just wait for the DLC to come out

@@CoredumpedGaming Now I'm wondering if you'd be inclined to make an LP of your run. Should you play a sorcerer build, there's a decided lack of good LPs featuring such. I only know of one, but it rushes things a bit and its a bit narrow in its use of sorceries.

Ok, sorry if I'm sounding like a complete ignorant in something I should probably have a much better understanding on at this point: Isn't this playthrough a "let's play"? I never really understood much of the difference between certain names. For me, if I had to name a specific trait, a Let's play has always felt more like a blind playthrough where I'm discovering things on the spot, which isn't something I can at this point provide with a game that I've played before.
So when you mentioned making a LP of this run, what exactly did you have in mind in terms of the style of the videos, the gameplay itself, etc. ?

I think you will benefit from selling a lot of stuff from your invdntory so that you have as much money as possible with you to Pitax to be able to buy as much as possible of all the goodies offered for sale there

Yep, I think we'll have way more than enough for anything we may want to buy. In any case I keep all valuable stuff in my inventory so in case we need more moneys we can just sell in pitax
