Incredible production. Whoever slotted some budget towards brand awareness for our regional police, great job.
Scary to see, glad the YRP is making high quality mini docs on issue like this. Shoutout to both the team who decided to make this & the team who film & edited this video. 🎉
YRP by far has the best media team in the province. Keep this up!

Thank you YRP for keeping us safer! 💕
Keep up the GREAT WORK, officers of the YRP. Great to see this initiative.
wow really high quality stuff, interesting look at what's going. It's a tough issue to solve, good to see such a proactive response.
great job guys. i actually got a faraday bag from #5 district. the officer in the front desk was very friendly. how faraday bags work is that storing you key fob in it blocks radio signals from criminals trying to make it so that your key fob can unlock the car for you. im not sure about other details, but this is as far as i know. storing your key in it makes it a lot harder for criminals to steal your car
Great work YRP! Keep trying new ways to stop the thieves. Good public relations video. I live in Richmond Hill.
Awesome work Thank you ❤

How long can you keep them in jail? Or are they already back on the street now?
unfortantely thats up to the government, the cops do all the hard work and the court lets them back out within a month
Gone are the days cars were hard to steal, you had to smash a window, bust open the ignition and know what wires to connect. Now thanks to the manufactures, cars are taken in a few minutes without needing to break or smash anything. Every car stolen is another car sold as a replacement. 2 for 1 deal for the auto manufactures!
Loved this! Stay safe and all the best YRP. Thank you🤙🏼🇨🇦
my mothers vehicle was stolen last year from the woodbine casino parking lot in Rexdale police took 5 hours to respond and when they did they couldn’t do anything to help recover the vehicle thank god for insurance she would be without a vehicle today 🤦🏽♂️
Many thanks to the security staff at the casino who helped us to get home by taxi. We are Forever grateful.
Wouldn't all vehicles be recovered if all vehicles going into shipping containers had to be inspected before transport could begin?
Now they checking containers what’s going out in Canada
This is Canada 🇨🇦. He will be out of jail by lunch. Criminals don’t fear Canadian law because it’s so weak. The law makers need to make changes to the law so criminals think twice before committing a crime.
police can only do so much if the punishments don't get more strict and they are just released on bail
Stop blaming car manufacturers. Your justice system is weak. Why don't you get information from these thieves so you know who they are working for and who's REALLY the mastermind behind car theft mafia.
It is partly due to car manufacturers though... if you produce a design that does not consider security risks, then you are partly to blame for that theft coming to fruition. You must not be an engineer -- or if you are, you should have your P.Eng revoked; burying your head in the sand and shifting the blame is not ethically correct. Also, punishment doesn't work very well as a means of eliminating root causes. You must not be a critical thinker either.
Until we have a Conservative government in power, I recommend:
-Learn to drive a manual
-Drive an older model vehicle
-Hide an Apple AirTag in your vehicle
-Park in a garage if you have one.
Doug Ford is Conservative. Still car theft is at its highest levels ever. Have you reached out to the Ontario Conservative Government?
Good video
