How to activate the radar
@@theblackfox2427 if you mean on the LAV-AD it doesn't have a search radar and has to be in the gun sight to lock aircraft with the radar for the gun like the M163
The way to play the A-10 is to abuse the Mav range. Get up to space, 6-7km alt, then lob Mavs using the IR lock to hit the enemy SAMs from outside their range (you can easily make 9-10km shots at that alt), then run away and repeat. This should keep you outside even SAM range while abusing the thermal sight abilities

Recently unlocked the LAV for my 10.3 murica lineup.Its fun so much fun i,m waiting for gaijin to upteir it or slap a massive repair on it .Everytime I play it its best described as the best 30 seconds of my life ...if bowel clenching terror and hysteric giggling is fun for you lol.

Now that your covering spaas, the gepard is amazing in the antitank role at 8.0. You get all the mobility of a leopard, with a full stabilizer, and two 35mm canons that do have apds (even if it's only 40 rounds)
Can't wait to see LAV-600 Commando and LAV-AT.

Yeah that turret is partially French-designed (Thales group).
More interestingly, the chassis is originally a Swiss Mowog Piranha, licenced by Canadian GM. So really it is Swiss/Canadian/French/American XD.

You should play my most played vehicle, crusader AA mk1. It gets so much hate but it's a monster. It's a quick light tank with a fast loading magazine. At its original br I use to flank and spank tigers, Panthers and t34 all day. I believe more people need to see what it can do!
i may be a bit late but since the video on the type 89 its gotten nerfed quite a lot so even though it hasnt been long it could get a re visit

In my opinion, the LAV-AD is not a SPAA but a LT with the ability to take down aircraft. It's more efficient against tanks. The most important thing: it takes less spawn points to spawn than other LT
ehh idk about LT, seeing as the max effective engagement distance is ~500 m for most targets at most angles. Whatever the R3 T20 is, the LAV-AD is in the same category

I love this vehicle just wish there was a better way to aim the rockets and know how much ammo you have also different rockets as well if it did this would be a dirty spaa

how do you enable that radar on your upper right? is that a mod that needs to be researched?
Haven't played this vehicle but on the gepard that radar can be turned on an off with alt+r or by pressing Y and then going into radar settings. Hope this helps

The Maverick D on the A10 has thermals btw, so you won't lock on to ground from afar
Oh im aware, but they are absolutely terrible to use.. so I generally tend to third person lock.

I just use the stock belt on the LAV and the A-10, to me its not a big issue to have 50/50 on the Anti-Tank/Anti-Air capabilities
@@fire_drake12.arc.24 when you have a minigun, HE rounds really don't matter that much. I'd much rather be 1% less effective against air targets than 25% less effective against ground targets (the ones that are usually more of a threat). When 10+ rounds are hitting at once, it really doesn't matter what type of round it is. On top of this, if you actually analyze HE damage, it's quite inconsistent. If anything, the AP rounds are better for all purposes tbh
It's actually been widely reported that the ground target belts on the M61 Vulcan are best for air targets despite it having more AP rounds.
For the A-10, if you can afford it, ALWAYS take the ground target belts. Not just because of the reasons I already explained. The ground target belt includes a new round, AP-I, instead of the API-T rounds on the default belt. These have considerably better angled pen and you can really feel how much faster ground targets die. On the other hand, no aircraft is surviving these 30mms whether they're AP or HE.
Try AMX-30 DCA/Falcon next time
