I used my XM1 Chrysler to grind so much of the American tree. It really freaks people out when they hear a turbine in a 9.0 game. They often panicked and made a bad shot. That and I prefer the look over the GM.

@@LostPenguin lower HP/ton I think but that's mainly just it. I guess the turret composite is weaker but it doesn't matter most of the time, however the BR difference matters a bit more, 10.3 MM is quite large atm, the Chrysler avoids that.
@@Wotplaya4 the chrysler and the gm have the exact same power to weight ratios, and the chrysler has a lower top speed which helps with its acceleration since the gearing is tighter.
Thanks for making this video, I have the XM1 and used it to grind out the American tech tree and its great, also the reason why it doesnt have much protection is because it was designed to withstand HEAT because the military at the time thought HEAT would be the future of shells, kinda sad its missing smoke grenades too because on the actual XM-1 it does have smoke grenades

I've been working my way up to top tier and I just bought the XM1 50% off in the PSN sale however I have the XM8, M3A3 Bradley, m247, and I'll have the AGS from operation winter to back it up. I never play a lineup without a minimum of 3 tanks and good crews. I hate one death leavers. I've reached rank 6 in several nations so I definitely think I'm ready for the XM1.
Literally have the same lineup, honestly my favorite group of vehicles

I got the XM-1 and the F-5 on the last birthday sale, and it's very, very good, even for a vehicle with not so much protection, it's very survivable, I've bounced shots of TURMS sometimes and I found it to be very, very player friendly. The only downside I have with it, is the fact that is too "wide", like, when you want to peek a corner, you show a lot of your hull/turret before you can actually put the gun on the target, but overall, a very good tank!
I've taken more hits and my xm1 Chrysler has been crippled and still packed a punch but when I use the GM its a completely different story maybe because the Chrysler has internal composite armour and the GM dont

The gm has composite, I'm pretty sure the Chrysler has about 350 mm of composite while the gm has 260

From my experience this was the first tank I got when I got this game didn’t know tanks were that damn expensive but none the less my experience is it’s kinda fast in realistic battles fast in arcade you have paper armor and your gun is meh be prepared to be one tapped to the Home Screen
Very rarely do I see people do good in this thing or commit to a game, most of the time it's people that are 0-20 level which means they barely put any hours in the game, they run out the map thinking they'll get the job done but then they die and leave the game. Just wanted to add a little thing, those 1 death leavers aren't entirely to blame like I have previously said, the fault goes to Gaijin as well for not introducing some sort of measure where a new player can't buy high tier premiums, had Gaijin done that it's safe to say that top tier would be much more enjoyable, we'd have people who can stay and fight on a game instead of taking the coward's way out.

@@raizencore Probably backups, but sadly not really any other vehicles other than the A-10 which I can't believe Im saying this, but it was the first pack that I bought from gaijin, and now I need another vehicle to go with it, and the XM-1 is the closest thing. Would be helpful to finish grinding the US tree. Im up the M46 and T34. I do also have the M901 but Idk how that will work at 9.7. I dont think its like the BMP-2M where it works great even at like 10.3-10.7
A better option would be doing what they do with "beta" premiums, If you buy a premium vehicle you should be able to spawn it up to 3 times in a match like permanent backups, depending on the size of your lineup. Gaijin in general needs to do more to encourage continuing to play a match. At top tier that just doesnt exist; even with premium its hard to make a profit at all even if you win the match, you basically have to have schizophrenia to not be jumped or caught by surprise, or just lucky.
A good way i think to do that is make a vehicles repair cost never be more than the reward for atleast 1 kill, or a cap and 1 assist (WITHOUT PREMIUM OR BOOSTERS). You should atleast be able to go even when it comes to SL as long as you try. You should only lose SL if you are truly bad or unlucky at the game and dont contribute to the team.
As an example i was using the F-105D as my go-to CAS in ground, i got like 4 kills a few assists and 2 caps in one game using an M1A1, LAV, and the F-105D. (3 deaths total) and i looked at the match results after because i noticed i went like 16k negative in SL rewards, and the main reason why was because the fucking F-105D costs 15k SL to repair and it isnt even spaded (not that itd be ok if it was). All it did was make me unequip the F-105D and realise im never gonna fuckin use it again. What kind of asinine concept is that? All repair costs being used for balance does is discourage people from using the vehicle, and discourage continuing to spawn when all repair costs are high.

xm1 is really fun and evasive, it has good firepower a crappy reload speed, bad armor but overall really fast.

Firepower is below average tho, M735 is like 8.7 APFSDS round. It's usable against soft targets of course but T-64s and T-72s you will have to hit the weakspots spot on.
But I just wish it had smoke grenade launchers, the only thing that prevents me from fully loving the vehicle.

I beg you do a vid on CAS with the F-105D. Imo best CAS loadout is 11x 1000lbs bombs but you could also drop a few mini nukes on some turms
I bought the L44 Leo first and grinded out Germany and I can say for a fact, I missed when the matchmaker used to team me up with the USSR and I’d clap whole teams of these guys. It was such an easy grind lmao. Then I bought the XM-1 after getting my M1A2 and laughed when I realized how terrible players are when they don’t have experience before buying a higher tier bundle.
After Buying the XM-1 and F-5C from the Anniversary Sale, all the subsequent Premiums I bought for Christmas just felt weak/slow sadge TT.
i like bringing this thing at 9.7 since the cas is much better at that tier plus i can bring the styker for the longer range maps since the xm1 doesnt have the best shell
i grinded the entire USA ground tree without premium tanks aside from 1 that I never used cuz i thought it sucked

it feels weird seeing a vehicle so high up in br and not have any sort of smoke (but this is coming from a brit main so that's our only perk compared to other nation)
It was able to have smoke launchers, gaijin just wont give it to the tank because its american, and gaijin motto seems to be "Fuck US" just about every update.

they should definitely add the Israeli tank feature(yes ik its cuz theres only 2 tanks) to all the nations, if u are going in a match with 1 (maybe even 2) u can spawn the same tank 2-3 times free and not rely on backups if you've wasted them all so that it wouldn't give people a reason to leave the game after 1 death
They won't do that because they'd make a little bit less money, they're really greedy.
i play 7.7 and Large Volokmansk is not a bad map at all , so far i have not encounter any spawn camping or any issue
I noticed the xm1 armor is kinda broken, you will bounce a lot of shells on it's upper front plate which doesn't make any sense, happened to me too few times

@@mrpineapples4752 do you mean Noob friendly? it’s not, Most new players will rush as fast as they can, the rooikat is a flanking vehicle or one that will stay back and cripple the enemy players, don’t expect to do good with it while being a new player

Probably not no. The xm-1 sometimes struggles at 9.3, because of its lackluster apfsds round.

Well ever since the turms got released xm1 got it's karma for ruining 9.3 and get constant uptier to 9.7, it is basically unplayable now, it got no armor and it's round is very insufficient to fight the Russian MBT with their magic ERA
It's called lack of skill. Bruh, russian gun breaches are the easiest things to take out, and they can't reverse. But if you meet a good Turms player then it's a different story.

If you try to brawl/head on yeah you'll get rekt 100%, but if you flank & spank, you can easily run guns and do pretty good, now you have to play the XM-1 like a light tank pretty much. But that 120k sl game i think with premium, it's not common but you can get really high SL games, i've had (non premium; 300% booster) 200k sl games.

M735 is much worse than 105 dm23, has 25 odd mm less pen at 60 degrees
Of course M735 is worse, M111 (dm23) was an upgraded version of it
I kinda prefer the APDS shot good penetration and better postpen damage
Look at the XM-1 and the first Abrams, its "best" APFSDS rounds are all worse than the things it faces, and for the case of the Abrams, its "Final" APFSDS is significantly worst than the "First" available APFSDS rounds of the MBTs it faces in other nations AT its BR. The Abrams should have M833 as its final round, at the very least that give it just about equal penetration for the 1st APFSDS rounds for things it faces like the 2A4. The XM-1 should get M774 too.
Thats how it is for alot of american vehicles though, Gaijin either doesnt give them what they need to be on par with everything else or they nerf them artifically for no reason. As an example they recently nerfed all the bradleys for no reason by making them unable to fully depress the gun over their rear, yet when you look there is plenty of clearance; wasnt like that before, but as usual it just seems like one more unnecessary thing they do to give the "fuck you" to US players.

Hey I'm currently a low rank and with the sales I was thinking of picking either this or the TURMS up. Anyone experienced have any recommendations on this?
I'd probably recommend the Turms, the armor is much more forgiving
Turms is better but both can effectively grind so depends if u wanna play USA tanks or Russian tanks

@@siko9799 where do you shoot the turnms? Sometimes the side era even stops it. Though maybe the angle was bad. I only have 240 or so matches with the xm1. Total like 450 with usa.

The XM-1 is the only purchase I’ve made in the game. I regret nothing. It makes amazing amounts of money. For mediocre matches I’m getting 40-50k sl, and for good matches I’ve gotten over 100k. It allowed me to grind a 7.0 and a 7.7 tank in one day. I would highly recommend if you main America. It has made the grind so much easier that it actually feels like cheating.
I would recommend grinding until 7.0 to buy this thing though. It will make you a better player and less of a burden to your team.

I too made the mistake of buying the XM-1 when I started playing the game just to get my ass kicked back to the homescreen, now I play russia mostly, almost at the T44-100 but i barely get any kills. idk how to play this game :(

Whoever is in charge of audio in this game needs to go it's been too long. Every single update they mess with the sound and break it or it sounds good for a week then they change it again. Bring back audio mods man...crazy the comunity can make better sound than gaigin.

the thermal sights tanks in the game have are accurate to their real life counterparts. if you have a problem with russian tank thermals, complain to kmdb and uralvagonzavod. the xm-1 is balanced, it does not need unhistorical gen 3 thermals.
