I absolutely love Johnny, he is the most fascinating, intelligent, articulate, authentic, talented and absolutely gorgeous rock star on the planet! I could watch and listen to him all day! He has me transfixed! LOL! ❤❤❤❤
i was a little punk on the run in the winter of 1990 i loved the pistols dk slf many years later i first listened to this song in the kitchen of my freezing cold cottage in wales on mdma as that guitar came crashing in my life changed again this is one of the best pil songs the journey is so deep his voice moves from sarcasm to heartbreaking wailing wicked xxxx when he played glastonbury five years ago he dedicated rise to nelson mandela calling him by his true african name in that set he wailed like a banshee in pain amazing all our love to u mr lydon xxxx
John Lydon is has been many things in his life! (I have been a massive fan since I was 12 in 1977!) Love him or Loathe him He will always be an 'innovator'! dx
Just heard this song yesterday. Moved me almost to tears. I don't know why. Prior to that I had only heard Order of death. Ordered The Plastic Box (4 CD compilation) last night. It's arriving today, i can't wait 😊
After all these years and i guess Johnny was the true rebel after all, and i who just thought it was a gimmick. What, with Malcolm McLaren and all that. I was pretty young when i read about you SP on Löningstrasse in, well was it in Munchen? This song is splendid! Keep up the good work.
It's far beyond post punk. The later PIL albums are frequently spoken of as "more commercial" but I love all of them anyway. You can feel Lydon's personality everywhere in them and more spatial sound/production gives them very much in plus and goes very well with the songs. Great new wave/rock/alternative/pop music from the great band!
Listen Public Image, After that listen Order Of Death, After That listen Rise, After That listen Cruel and Finally after that listen Reggie Song. And tell me if you believe it's the same band. Pil Rules
***** Same frontman, same brain behind the music, if you ask me. Also same band name, and if you ask me, that means it can't go from pop music to death metal or something, or rap. If you ask me :)
Callampa Producciones Thats truth Pil changed a lot when Keith Quit, But a diference of a lot when Keith Quit. All the albums with Keith are great (First Issue, Metal Box, Paris Au Printemps, Flowers of Romance, Commercial Zone ) But after that, John and his boys realse really good albums (Album, Happy?,) But as always was some Shit albums (This is what you want....This is what you get, Live in tokyo, That what is not) I'm in the middle with '9' And the new Pil with his album ''This is PIL'' is one of my favorites. This '2015' 4 of september they release a new album called 'What the World Needs Now.....' I'm almost sure that it gonna be best than 'This is PIL', But Never knows. Apart from that is the first album of the band with the same line up. Regards form chile :)
" You have the tools to make men fools" 👌 The Radio session version of this is much better. Available on Plastic Box. More powerful. I much prefer early PIL but this is a classic along with Acid Drops. Wish I'd bought the vinyl when it came out instead of the cassette. Vinyls were at an all time low then.
Here´s the chatter box, Mr. T i´m sorry. Censorship struck and it was yourself doing it this time. Life can be Cruel. A whole month and no input after me still.
The very definition of Avant Garde, exquisite music, artistry and talent. Even after so many years, PIL still comes from the future
All of their music has very typical auras of the time they were in. This has an early 90s sound.
👍🤘
@@ozricaurora6943 it's timeless, always same s. politic, Johny knows it
*Epidemic*

But you know what they say, PIL did end after Metal Box or Flowers of Romance, blah, blah :))))
I absolutely love Johnny, he is the most fascinating, intelligent, articulate, authentic, talented and absolutely gorgeous rock star on the planet! I could watch and listen to him all day! He has me transfixed! LOL! ❤❤❤❤
The fact that he sees it all as bollocks has me on his side.
one of my favourite pil tracks, a multi layered masterpiece
Underrated album.

Yeah, someone with awesome flavour or taste ;-)

My god. Incredible song, incredible video.
I love Lydon's odd enunciation of the English language in verse - utterly weird and great!
R.I.P. John McGeoch

Bloody Freddie Mercury and Queen here, no? Fantastic! God Save the Queen is lurking in there too.
I never was great on picking up on music at the first listen, but this is so good it leaves me breathless.
Totally brilliant he will only be recognised when he is no longer with us which is a shame ❤!!!!
Like most geniuses
Great 2 hear this again. ❤
Love jonhy🖤
"Don't ask me, Coz I don't Know!!!!!!!!!!
The music reminds me the late 80s albums of The Stranglers
Every time I see him in these old videos, he reminds me of Mr Spliffy.
Lyndon sounds like Grace Jones in parts of this song!!!! Love Lyndon!!!a True visionary just listen to the song Home!!!!!!
the perfect "period" song
A unique voice....one ofvthe greatest and he can't even play a fuckin instrument....Long Live John Lydon
I've always loved this
Hey JAzhRoot❤
It sounds really actual, cool, fresh...inmortal.
Cannot imagine this song ceasing to sound fresh. Musically, not to mention the lyrics.

It's the Eastern sounding guitar. Very moving.
One of PiL's best. Why's the level so low, though?
fantastic song!!!!!

What do you think about the mobile"cop Killer" Witz John Lydon and Harvey Keitel ?
I find a little bit strange clips but otherwise I love songs! The music is magnificent and texts are written well!

LIKE CLIVE BARKER DIRECT CUT; LONG LIVE JOHN LYDON ;PIL PIL PIL
There was a moment when Lydon looked like Brydon. This is that moment.
Rift like the Cure but you made it your own! Amazon 😂😂😂ing
i never thought John would let a girl kiss him apart from Nora
Great song, really good, Lydon is sex in there..
TOTALLY
lydon is always sex
U mean sexy or sex as in sex pistols
I'm sure she means sexy, I totally agree. He is absolutely gorgeous! ❤❤❤❤
The people who don't present themselves that way are often the most attractive
Alan Dias looks fucking cool in that costume.
Voltar voice? (from awesomenauts)
fuckin tune
I still want him to cover a Donna Summer song.
😂😂😂😂😂
which one
Maybe it is just me but I rate PIL way higher than Lydon's more famous band.
Me too.....
Yeah, I like The Clash, but PIL is even better.
Could not agree more, yeah john was great with his snarls and all that guff. But truly, the surrealism he brought out with PIL is just top notch :D

What album is this from?
That what is not
The published comment is not correct was it 88,90, or 91?
1991
Anyone know what Alan Dias is doing these days?
Errol Berwyk I believe he is a semi professional marathon runner
Sounds like someone's having an asthma attack. How do they get that sound?
First they got someone who has asthma...
PIL.

p bad, and I even sort of like This is Not a Love Song...
Bag o" shite
This isn't my cup of tea I don't think.
Rotten effulgent.
A goodish song, from a shockingly awful album.
Clearly the sign of things to come from Rotten's
subsequent albums.
songs great much better than all that early arty farty stuff u prob love
He is anyone, but not a good singer.
