Richarlison really impressed me today. Aside from his assist, his constant work rate up and down the left wing all game long was excellent. Something Rashford at United should take note of.

When Ange said “his goals aren’t the most important thing he can contribute to our success” I thought he was just providing cover, like the good gaffer he is. But now I’m beginning to see what he means. Richy was dangerous on the ball with his creation of other peoples chances, and his work rate off the ball.

OMG Vicario what a goalkeeper. Didn't have much to do but when called upon he stood tall, as he has since standing between the sticks. Really worried Spurs are dependent upon Son and Maddison for the lion share of goals. If Spurs are to remain in title contention, they really need two more regular scorers. Richarlison will hopefully find form, how he set up Son was masterful. Hopefully Johnson will be fully fit and bit in the team soon. Will be interesting to see how we go against Chelsea and Man City. Chelsea is starting to find some rhythm and appear to have found the starting eleven. One game at a time and let's see where it takes us.
this team is giving me that 2013-2014 liverpool season vibe, they can catch form for a while but can they sustain it. i wish you lot best of luck, coming from a toffee fan.

I don't think we're ever going to see richarlison step into the next gear. I think this is his limit, we've bought another soldado. He works extremely hard and can do amazing things when he doesn't have any pressure on him (like for Brazil, because the pressure is on Neymar, vini to do the work) but he'll never have that here. He's played in the prem for long enough, he's been with our squad long enough. He's a good fill in for aggressive pressing, but that's it I think.
As for Chelsea I think we have this one in the bag. Some of the players out there know poch inside and out, our staff like mason know him inside and out. Tactically I think we have enough to see this one through. They are picking up a bit of form though, if they do manage to beat us the morale boost that will give them would probably push them into top 5 tbh.
dont think Chelsea have enough goals in them to beat spurs away from home. And that bottle job against an underperforming arsenal was typical of their season.

I agree playing more challenging teams will be an excellent test. I can see how your strengths in defence, midfield and offense enables you to play this free-flowing attractive football. I can also see that the players who previously were like square pegs in round holes under previous Managers are now playing for a Manager who whose style fits theirs.
From a Villa point of view, I am personally really looking forward to playing you as it will be a good test for us too.
It will be interesting to see how Emery sets us up and how we manage the waves of attacks you'll send our way vs how you manage us.

I support spurs and when the new manager was appointed i had serious doubts, but even at this early stage you can tell the man has done an exceptional job, the positive atmosphere in that stadium is transmitting from the touchline, a belief exists that never existed even under the poch reign.And some people shouldn't forget that spurs lost kane.The job this man has done is remarkable

One reason we aren’t serious atm is because we don’t rotate enough. The starting 11 is very predictable. When you look at Man City and even Liverpool, they are able to make changes and still keep a decent standard. Even academy players get minutes and look class. Would like to see some academy guys get in the squad and have minutes we might have some gems in the club.
Would like to see a fairly different 11 on Friday and see who impresses and who doesn’t. Not completely new but at least 4 players. PEH did well and would deserve to play Friday. Want to see who has actually improved in the team because it’s a bit too predictable.
This is the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard. Those teams have to make rotations because of European football. Spurs don’t because they are only playing once a week. Which is why you see Ange giving everyone time off the bench.
No. You don't change a winning formula. Bissoums comes back in, for Hojbjerg, and that's the only change needed. At most, Brennan Johnson comes in - maybe for Richarlison - to counter Palace, with pace. We don't need to rotate with 1 game a week.
The depth isn't there, Spurs season is over if Maddison or Son gets injured unfortunately.
Leicester won the league with the same XI. So did Chelsea. Arsenal challenged last season by playing mostly the same team

I told my childhood friend that is a Spurs when they bought that is his major problem and it showed.
Let's just appreciate the change in spurs and the difference of mentality. I'm certain we won't win the league, but I'm enjoying every passing moment at the moment. Still plenty of improving to do. You can only beat what's in front of you. Something spurs have failed to do consistently enough throughout a full season.
Tonight was a solid performance as all Spurs needed to do was to get the 3pts that you did. Ange felt that the team dropped off a bit in the 2nd half. However, the guy has standards, which isn't a bad thing at all.
But...what a start for you guys! 23 pts in the 1st 9 games. Best start for a new manager coming into the EPL 👏
You mentioned that you need reinforcements come January in 3 key positions:
- Defence... agreed
- Midfield... agreed.
- Forward/Striker... agreed.
On the left side, especially now that Perisic is injured for the season.
Have you guys thought about the Australian international "Craig Goodwin"?
He can play on the left as a winger or midfielder, which the team needs. Goodwin is technically gifted, can unlock 🔑 defenses with his pinpoint passes and takes them on, and is able to whip in dangerous crosses as well.
He's currently playing for Al Wehda in the Saudi 🇸🇦 Pro League, and Ange knows him very well.
He played for the Socceroos in the England friendly last week.
You could get him on loan come the new year for the remainder of the season.

Liverpool are not title contenders but they’ll finish ahead of Spurs. The lilywhites have done ok, and not having European schedule will help, but they were borderline embarrassing against 9 men for half an hour

I think richarlison on the wing is better for his form right now. If he can't score, he can definitely aggressively get the ball back and put pressure on the backline of other teams. He was in their face, it felt like we had two LBs against Fulham.

I think this spurs is a bit harder to contain compared to Jose's spurs. With Jose's spurs all they had to do was crowd out kane and son on the counter, Ange's spurs have danger coming from different areas. So, if spurs manges to maintain top position at Christmas, there will be more chance of a top finish to the season.
We'll see who is around after the christmas fixtures, then we'll get an idea of who is in the race,

I'm a Tottenham fan, and I would love to be title contenders, but without getting carried away as well. Realistically Tottenham can be in Top 4, but I don't think we will win the league. I am happy but it is still way too early, and Manchester City can suddenly win 12 games in a row etc.
We aren't going to win the league, and the majority of Spurs fans think the same, but we are enjoying the good football and positive feeling around the club. We've had injuries already, have been grinding out results, and already played 3 of the 'Top 6'.
Good start but CL football next season is the main aim.
They didn't have to be stellar but they have to maintain stellar standards regardless. Their 2nd half was poor and Ange will make sure that the players understand that and push them to maintain the standards he wants

You should no longer compare the old Spur with today's Spur. Although Kane had left, Spur became strong because of the goalkeeper, the defensive team, the spirit and most of all, the coach. He can transform Ricardison from a striker to a keeper and can TEH can do the same for Antonio? The answer is NO and therefore Spur can growth stronger and challenge the Premium League champion.

This was probably Spurs best performance of the season so far. They are fortunate to be top with playing Luton, Sheffield, Bournemouth, Burnley who are all massive favs to go down. They were incredibly fortunate against Liverpool and the ref basically won them the game. Arsenal had injuries before and during the game that effected them. It has gone Spurs' way a little bit at the moment. However, you can only beat what is in front of you. Don't see them winning the league as I think Man City and Arsenal are a lot stronger, with Liverpool also ahead of Spurs. It is so tight at the top, they lose two games and they are fifth.
Forgot to mention spurs have no midweek games .
No European football they have a massive advantage but will still finish 5th or 6th

Spurs are playing as a team, it’s that simple. Against a side like Fulham if all 11 players are solid and make no mistakes in a system like Ange’s no one needs to get into the highest gears.

I reckon Kane leaving, in a weird way has helped with Tottenhams mentality as a team. For years the team was built around how Kane plays. Sorry but absent the biggest refereeing error in PL history spurs would be third. They are not contenders. Top 4 should be a shoe in from where they’re now and I think they will push arsenal and Liverpool for third / second. The title race is based on team playing to win games to stay at the top. The race has started since the first day of the season. Right now Spurs are in the title race as they are sitting top of the league by 2 points and by the end of the week it could be 5 points. The title race is a long one though its started. If Spurs were sitting in 5th and starting to play really good after a few loses and draws then the question would be are Spurs in the top four race. So right now SPURS are in the title race.
