At Night time Almeida walks calm and collected on to the Portugues Flagship, his hands stacked behind his back.
He passes through a Chaotic crew scatered running back and forth like worker Ants, carrying Barrels and Crates from A to B.
Almeida yells out: "ready the Ships", "prepare the Cannons" as he slowly made his way to the ships Fordeck.
Anybody that would dare to look into his gazing Eyes would understand, that this Man is Dead Inside.
At the Fordeck Almeida looks out, into the Waters of the Indien Ocean, into this Dark Void that just a few Days ago swalloed his Son, his Lagecy Alive.
With a growling voice he orders, to himself :
    "Next Stop Diu".

Many people look at the atrocities committed by their ancestors and feel ashamed of their history. I personally think that context is important, and historic context usually lacks in these arguments. We can't judge the actions of our ancestors with the morals of our present. Doing so will only celebrate the defeated while condemning the victors, which ignores the fact that if the defeated had been victorious they would be the ones commiting these attrocities and the only reason they didn't was because they couldn't. You don't have to be proud of these immoral actions, but you should be proud of your ancestors success, without it you wouldn't be here.

You're right, but the problem is selective judgment. It's perfectly fine judging your ancestors by context, but then to see the enemy as barbarians betrays what it really is. Not a nuanced view of the world, but a warped history where my ancestors wrongs are better than that of the enemy.
Many Spaniards and Portuguese are major culprits of this, because they have a... colorful history, while always portraying Moors as exceptionally cruel and barbarous. This is sort of unparalleled in Western Europe.

People are free to be proud, or ashamed, or even apathetic toward their ancestors and history. Just don't let others to dictate how you should feel about your ancestors and the history of your nation.
Altho, TBH, this self-loathing phenomena exist mostly in Anglosphere countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, NZ), plus Germany, and also Japan for lesser extent (due to being forced on them by the Anglos). On the other hand, vast majority of people in Arab countries, Mongolia, Iran, India, China, Russia, France, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, etc are proud of their illustrious history.

@@FlashPointHx About the Carlist Wars, for the spaniards were very important wars because it was the origins of the regionalism and nationalisms they suffer nowadays. Moreover, in that wars participate many good spanish generals like Zumalacaguerri or Espartero, and foreign generals from France and Austria.
Pedro II of Brazil was a very chad king and he participated in many wars, being the most famous the Triple Alliance War against Paraguay.
For the spanish and portuguese communities, that videos will be a hit and instant classics for the channel 😊

What if Mansa Musa's Mali Empire discovered Brazil in 1324 when they voyaged West to see what was there? Which would make sense as to why the Portuguese were able to conquer so much land being such a small nation in comparison and why they didn't have troubles with the Indians since disease would have already spread leaving it mostly empty for them to conquer. The Amazon and the Andes Mountains would have acted like a wall preventing disease to spread. Also what if they brought the Black Death back from the New World on their voyage just in time for it to spread soon after?
They supposedly did find gold tipped spears in S. America which are only found in Africa. Mansa spoke his predecessor did indeed travel to new found lands.

The Portuguese asked to pope to amend the treaty of tordesillas to include more of the western hemisphere for Portugal. It could be possible that the Portuguese were already aware of Brazil due to their extensive presence in West Africa so they asked the pope to give them more of the western hemisphere only to "discover" Brazil "coincidentally" Also if you look on a map the shortest 2 points of the 'New World' and 'Old World' are exactly were the Mali Empires coast is todays Senegal and Guinea Bissau to Brazils Cities of Natal and Recife. Since the Portuguese colonized Guinea Bissau that is where the could have got the idea. Both the Trade Winds and the Ocean Currents make it ideal to travel as they both circulate from those 2 points.
Also I don't see Mansa Abu Bakr taking a Royal Expedition of 500 ships into the Atlantic ocean without having prior knowledge that something was there first.

    A Cambaicos cruéis e Mamelucos.
Eis vem o pai, com ânimo estupendo,
Trazendo fúria e mágoa por antolhos,
Com que o paterno amor lhe está movendo
Fogo no coração, água nos olhos.
A nobre ira lhe vinha prometendo
Que o sangue fará dar pelos giolhos
Nas inimigas naus; senti-lo-á o Nilo,
    Podê-lo-á o Indo ver e o Gange ouvi-lo"

Here is Landeg White's translation, which was published by Oxford University Press in 2001:
      "Mombasa, too, furnished with such
      Palaces and sumptuous houses,
Will be laid waste with iron and fire
In payment for its former treachery.
      Along the Indian coast, swarming
      With enemy ships plotting Portugal's
Downfall, Lourenço with sail and with oar
Will give his uttermost, and then give more.
Though the powerful Samorin's giant ships
Choke the entire sea, his cannon-shot
      Thundering from hot brass
      Will pulverize rudder, mast, and sail;
Then, daring to grapple the enemy
      Flagship, watch him leap
On deck, armed only with lance and sword,
To drive four hundred Muslims overboard.
But God's inscrutable wisdom (He knows
Best what is best for his servants)
Will place him where neither strength nor wisdom
Can avail in preserving his life.
In Chaul, the very seas will churn
With blood, fire, and iron resistance,
As the combined fleets of Egypt and Cambay
Confront him with his destiny that day.
The united power of many enemies
(Might was defeated only by might),
Faltering winds and a swelling sea
Will all be ranged against him.
      Here, let ancient heroes rise
To learn from this scion of courage
This second Scaeva who, however maimed,
Knows no surrender and will not be tamed.
      With one thighbone completely shattered
      By a wayward cannon-ball, still
He battles on with his forearms alone
And a heart not to be daunted,
Until another ball snaps the ties
      Binding flesh and spirit together:
The leaping soul slips its body's prison
To claim the greater prize of the arisen.
Go in peace, O soul! After war's
Turbulence, you have earned supreme peace!
As for that scattered, broken body,
He who fathered it plans vengeance.
Already, I hear their hot perdition
      Looming in a thunderous barrage
      On Mameluke and cruel Cambayan
From catapult, from ordnance and cannon.
      Here comes the father, magnified
By his anger and grief, his heart
On fire, his eyes swimming, his soul
      Transfixed by paternal love.
He has taken an oath his noble rage
      Will make blood run knee-high
In the enemy ships; the Nile will mourn,
The Indus witness, the Ganges be forlorn."

      "Mombasah-city, with her brave array
      of sumptuous palace, proudest edifice,
defaced, deformed by fire and steel shall pay
in kind the tale of byegone malefice.
Thence on those Indian shores which proud display
their hostile fleets, and warlike artifice
'gainst the Lusians, with his sail and oar
shall young Lourenço work th' extremes of war.
What mighty vessels Sam'orim's orders own
covering Ocean, with his iron hail
poured from hot copper-tube in thunder-tone
      all shall he shatter, rudder, mast and sail;
then with his grapples boldly, deftly thrown,
the hostile Ammiral he shall assail,
board her, and only with the lance and sword
shall slay four hecatombs of Moors abhor'd.
But God's prevision 'scaping human sight,
alone who knows what good best serves His end,
shall place the Hero where ne toil ne might
his lost young life availeth to forfend.
In Cháúl-bay, where fierce and furious fight
with fire and steel shall fervid seas offend,
th' Infidel so shall deal that end his days
where Egypt's navy doth conjoin Cambay's.
There shall the pow'er of man'ifold enemies, -
for only stronger force strong force can tire,-
and Winds defaulting and fierce injuries
of Ocean, 'gainst a single life conspire :
Here let all olden men from death arise
to see his Valour, catch his noble fire :
A second Scæva see who, hackt and torn,
laughs at surrender, quarter holds in scorn.
With the fierce torture of a mangled thigh,
torn off by bullet which at random past,
his stalwart arms he ceaseth not to ply,
that fiery Spirit flaming to the last :
Until another ball clean cuts the tie
so frail that linkèd Soul and Body fast ;-
the Soul which loosed from her prison fleets
whither the prize eterne such Conqueror greets.
Go, Soul! to Peace from Warfare turbulent
wherein thou meritedst sweet Peace serene !
for those torn tortured limbs, that life so rent
who gave thee life prepareth vengeance keen :
I hear een now the furious storm ferment,
      threating the terrible eternal teen,
      of Chamber, Basilisco, Saker-fire,
to Mameluke cruel and Cambayan dire.
See with stupendous heart the war to wage,
driven by rage and grief the Father flies,
      paternal fondness urging battle-gage,
fire in his heart and water in his eyes :
Promise the sire's distress, the soldier's rage,
a bloody deluge o'er the knees shall rise
on ev'ry hostile deck: This Nyle shall fear,
