I have some left over plywood from another project that I could actually use for this and get it out of my way! Two additions that might be worth adding: A hook to hang the HR monitor to dry out and another hook for a towel.

I made this yesterday. Thanks for posting. I put some casters on mine to increase mobility as well. Good job on the design.

Such a shame to see a Canadian working in inches.... :D
Thnx for the design, love it! I will definitely go out and build one myself. Currently working with two Ikea Lax tables stacked and a plank on top to bring the keyboard forward.

Excellent build. I hope someone clever posts a cut list. Also, if you drill a hole behind each fan you can hide the fan cables really well. Great job, T.

Forget the costs, just so much better than plastic generic.

This is amazing! I actually have most of the tools, just…minus an indoor bike to ride.

some great ideas here. Router would be safer than the table saw method you did.

    What, no urinal function?

You should add some locking castors for easier movement. Simple locking castors with a proper load capacity should not be terribly costly. Might also be cool to add the small power strip nicely managed at the underside rather than in the slot for a phone charger, Di2 charger, your fans etc.
It is much nicer looking than a plastic/aluminum trainer desk you can buy, the staining looks great. Personally, I prefer the immersion of the television, but this is great for those who are space constrained. Using your own hands and brain to make something can't be understated, those of you quibbling that you can buy a desk for not much more are kind of missing the point here.

Mate great build, all I would say is add another 2 supports at the top of the upright legs. Similar what you did at the bottom. I can see the supports on the inner of the legs that would only really stop lateral movement. If it got too back heavy or you took a bit of a dive (I have done it before cleat came undone) the top will not rip out of the legs. But overall great job mate.

Nice video, clever design, and great walkthrough on how to build it.
I wish you’d have done some sexy b-roll or a walk around of the desk first so we could see what you built and what features you added.
Love the creativity and the DIY savings though! May give this a try!

Looking at the slot, I reckon you'd be able to do that with a circular saw with the blade depth reduced. Sure it might be a little more difficult to square up, but it's one less specialised too that's required! Looks awesome though and shows that I can get some little fans for my diy desk 😂
