I ride a wheel on trainer, and that “herky jerky” feeling really doesn’t kick in unless your going uphill at 9% grade or more, so it depends on what app and routes you’re choosing whether it becomes an issue, and I’ve found it is still effective for a workout and very enjoyable, without spending $800 on my trainer. I do really like the sensor for the treadmill. I have a footpod and just bought a treadmill, so I’m going to look into it for my setup.

I don't understand why a companion app is necessary. Why don't they put the event and filter feature in the main app? Also Zwift sort of hides many features. WTF?
i use the app on my Iphone and then send the video via adapter and HDMI cable to an old tv we have setup in the garage/Gym. with a Kicker Snap. which to me is already an upgraded trainer. My max is 1050 watts so I'm a LONG way from needing more power availability.
I've been zwifting for about 2 months now. While I do love it not going to list all the benefits, one thing for sure, this thing is eating up serious bandwidth. All of us have phones and constant online yet never went over the data block I signed up with my ISP. The first month i thought it was a fluke but but for sure this time I watched a bit closer our usage. It is not even comparable to streaming a typical movie. Zwift takes allot more. Anyone can share you get similar results?

Bluetooth. I use the Wahoo KICKR and all you have to do is have the kickr near your computer, Apple TV or Phone and it’ll typically automatically connect.

Good video, Taren! I finally came to the dark side and finally got hooked up on Zwift. Your video helped shorten my learning curve.
For many reasons, I decided to go with a kickr rollr and a Zwift hub. I use the rollr for distance and zone 2 and the hub for training. That helped.
Here I was thinking I was the only one. Cheers!
