The Transcendent 2000 in the introduction of the video looks familiar - that's the picture of my one that I sent many years ago to the Vintage Synth Explorer website along with a review! So cool to see that this surprisingly unique synth has fans all over the world 😄

Thanks for sharing this Telefunkian. I just completed a refurb/repair on one of these, a few months back, a bit of a lockdown project. I had loads of problems with it, many turned out to be simple fixes but I also had to rebuild all the keyboard swithes which was tedious. Gold plated 16 guage guitar strings! Currently implementing a MIDI interface mod which is keeping me busy.

Wow! Those switches are quite unusual, you get extra points for persevering! I would love to see your MIDI solution!

Got your drafts - thanks. Will be very helpful. Even though my T2000 still is in in the form of Gerber files, this faultfinding/repairing video was very useful.
Got a 2 1/2 octave keyboard (C - F) and wonder if I should make it a 3 octave (C-C) or if it will work as is with the T2000. However the a C-C keyboard will fit the panel perfect (500 mm - I had to compress the board to fit in my PCB program) but the C-F is almost 600 mm. Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!

Wow! Yes, so many variables to consider! Keep me updated and best of luck!

@@telefunkian I will, in a minute start the tedious work of comparing the PCB layout with the schematics. Something else landed in my lap ... the Practical Electronics Microsynth (Clef B30). From what I've heard, this one sounds much more interesting that the Minisonic from the same publication.
