My daughter flew from Philadelphia Thursday and on Sunday was sick with flu like symptoms, turned out to be Covid. She is much better today but has been feeling really bad. She is 55 yrs old and normally healthy. I just hope President Biden gets through this and does not have to go deal with what my daughter has gone through.
My ex and his wife have Covid for the fourth time.

Take a look at China, South-East Asia countries. Or Russia/Gulf countries. People there are tortured in police stations on daily basis, thousands of cases are fabricated because of some police wanted promotion. You can't express your opinion freely anywhere - otherwise you would be put into jail/tortured/or even killed during torture.
In some cases(e.g. Russia/Ukraine) people can be just swept by commissioners who will enlist them immediatly and sent as cannon fodder to battlefields.
No rights, no way to defend yourself legally, no opportunity to earn decent money to escape that hell unless you're lucky and have connections. Born, serve, die by the will of your state. It's motto of half the world if not more.
And guess what - even such grim countries aren't titled fascist ones, because it takes really a LOT to become such country. Things should be REALY nasty before it country can be called fascist.
So, please, stop whining - your system will chew any kind of madamn. Yes, some changes can happen to worst. But eventually, system will slowly regenerate and still be working. It works for centuries. And it will still work no matter what.
