The heat has been pretty bad. It was 115-120 the past week here in Northern CA. It felt "cooled off" today at only 99 degrees. And Trump thinks climate change is when it warms up for summer and cools in the winter. They have no sense of reality, even when its setting records each year.
It's the same thing when they thought if they didn't test for Covid, then the case count wouldn't go up. They really think that if they can't see a threat, it doesn't exist.
Yet again, those on the right are confusing weather with climate change.
I was hoping she'd keep her promise to not endorse anyone... how disappointing.

Be aware that conservatism in general is a cult and a lie. There are _no_ true conservatives. Every person and group that labels themselves as 'conservative' are already operating in a new world, with new challenges, and they resort to new methods and 'principles' (more like cynical political strategies) to push their agenda forward -- an agenda which is almost never 'conservative' -- I'm a futurist, and yet I'm somehow more _conservative_ than the vast majority of people out there who self-identify that way. In reality, "conservatism" as it is leveraged by the right wing, is a Trojan Horse. They use it to smuggle in religion, fascism, and authoritarianism. The 'past' they reference is not only whitewashed, in many cases it is completely fabricated.
No matter the issue: anti-abortion, pro-firearms, pro-tariff, isolationist, anti-immigrant, anti-Fed, pro-insurrection, enabling a president to crime without consequences.... None of that is actually conservative. It's all really recent in its current form. Look into the history of these attitudes and 'principles' and you will find that they are only skin deep. Red meat meant to agitate and invigorate a base that wants to feel superior to other classes. These issues have been invented so a tiny ruling class can hold onto and/or expand political power. That's it.
We need to take back a bunch of words from these pretenders, it's the only way to really defeat MAGA in the end. Words like Republic, and Patriot, and Conservative. MAGA represents the opposite of those things.
