The way these Maga hats did it is putting women at higher risk if they get pregnant. The United States already has a maternal mortality ratio that is 10 times as large as any other industrialized nation. This is leading to guys getting vasectomies and women having their tubes tied. It’s not working.

Like, okay, you want more white people and less brown and black people, so you’re going to overturn Roe, which in turn is going to increase the number of brown and black babies being born. Do they think only white Christian women get abortions? No, people who aren’t ready or can’t financially support a child get abortions (among many other valid reasons). Democrats get abortions, and we’re going to raise all of our forced-birth babies to be Democrats. Republican Christo-fascist women (their people) aren’t getting abortions. Also, the whole birthright citizenship “anchor babies” they complain about? Those illegal immigrants aren’t going to be able to get abortions either, and they definitely don’t want those babies born here. It’s like they’re trying to replace themselves without even realizing it?

The abortion restrictions deliberately target low-income women and families. Women who are already struggling financially do not have the money to fly to another state, pay for a hotel room for a couple nights, pay taxi fare and meals, etc. And if her partner or a friend goes along for moral support that's double the expense.

I believe this strengthens the bond of love between husband and wife and provides peace and joy to their children. I am against the trend of viewing sex merely as a source of pleasure. If someone cannot afford to support a child financially, they should abstain from having sex. Deciding to have an abortion simply because of financial difficulties is incredibly irresponsible towards the child and the value of life.

And honestly that's great that YOU believe that so YOU won't ever have to have this medical procedure. But what gives you the right to tell others how to live? The Bible? The Bible expressly mentions abortion being permitted and in fact describes a PRIEST performing one! So what gives you any right to tell people not to have an abortion, any more than they would have a right to search your bedsheets to look for evidence of you "spilling seed". However, this is an individualistic idea that fails to fully recognize the existence of social order. I do not agree with this way of thinking. Just as nature is highly orderly, human society also exists as part of the order of the universe. Regardless of which religion one believes in, there are universal principles that exist in human society, and we must adhere to these principles. These universal principles have existed as natural law throughout history. In recent years, many countries have incorporated these principles into their constitutions and laws as part of their social order. I graduated HS in 1974, one year after Roe and one year after Iranian women lost their right to dress as they pleased. Women in America knew what we had in 1974, the year Richard Nixon left the WH in disgrace. We held politicians to a moral code while we were in the mists of a gas crisis, an unpopular war and civil unrest due to inequality. I wore white dress slacks to my HS graduation in protest of the fact I wasn't allowed to (dresses only for girls), one other girl wore pants, she & I almost weren't allowed to walk. I pointed out you couldn't tell we had pants on (flares ruled) as half of the girls wore maxi dresses and you could only see about 6" of fabric below our graduation gowns. My first debate in the real world that I won! Later that summer, I got pulled into an office by a male executive at Sears as I started my shift, I was breaking the rules as "bras are required". I was mortified with embarrassment, he didn't skip a beat. I took careful pains to dress modestly with a bad sunburn but he advised me he could tell because "they bounced". It was OK for men to look at women in any way they pleased it seemed. He knew from experience, I guess, what was beneath my blouse, that was unbelievable to me. He could not tell I had no bra other than my body had too much swing to be confined as he would expect. Men would gather at the bottom of the escalators to try to catch a glimpse of what ever they want while destroying women's confidence and security, that was OK. I never saw him chasing them away. Chauvinism was rampant everywhere. Now chauvinists and racists are trying to beat back those gains we made so many years ago. We aren't going to go down without a fight and WE WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

I don’t see this add as fiction, not in states like Idaho and Texas with complete abortion bans. They also should be talking about the number of OBGYNs that have left Idaho and Texas or are already leaving because they cannot give women reproductive care. That leaves women who want children without access to maternity care, especially in rural areas. Also, the nightmare of a pregnancy that goes wrong has many women in those states deciding not to have children at all, because despite what the other side says women’s lives are being put at risk. The former president cannot run from this issue by claiming now that he wouldn’t support a national abortion ban because women are suffering right now over the Supreme Court Justices that he appointed overturning Roe V Wade.

I respect that they don't like the DNC/Harris' position on abortion access, but they also appear to realize that popping out a kid who then goes homeless or hungry bc the other programs to help mom & child have been slashed to ribbons, isn't very Christian-like either.
I understand the "money has to come from somewhere" - but IMHO, only the most heartless would not support school-aged children (at least pre-HS when they're reliant on parents buying groceries & fixing food/making available) not getting at least 1 guaranteed meal a day via free lunch.
