Sad update: I finally used my new Skil table saw yesterday for the first time. It made one cut then wouldn’t turn back on. 😡 I finally got hold of their customer service today and they’re sending me a replacement. Probably just as well they don’t answer yesterday when I was so aggravated. Their customer service agent was very nice. Hopefully, it was a one off issue and I’ll be enjoying my new saw in 7-10 days.
I know this is off topic, but I don’t know how to ask a question about an old video that you might see. My question is, if I wanted to add t track or miter track for a miter saw, where do you center it to? Center of cut on saw, or to the fence? Sorry for the off topic question, love your channel and all that you do.

I am trying to get a shop going on a small budget and I don't have the time to hunt down every sale and deal out there. I've easily saved $500+ bucks in the past year from just patiently waiting for various deals to pop up through this.
After talking with you i was going to go for the dewalt 8" but when i went to lowes the price had went up to $399. I ended up getting the 10 in for 549.
That Craftsman thickness planer really looks like my old Delta planer! 😂
I really like the skil tablsaw, has the features from the dewalt I like, bigger blade and the stand is sturdy. My only problem is it's really loud and I wish the height crank and fence lock handle felt sturdier. But they've been fine so far.

I bought the 7491 table saw Dewalt and the motors sparks a lot when I turn it on and when I turn it off did yours ever do that let me Know if that’s normal I sent the first one back the second one does the same thing

Dang, I bought my Skil table saw one day before President's day at Walmart for $299. If only I waited one more day. But if it's any consolation, Walmart's return policy is 90 days, compared to Amazon's 30. I'm hoping for a sale within 90 days and Walmart is willing to do a price adjustment.

Home depot have that installation driver for 199, but you can hack it and it'll become 125 buy returning the 4 HO battery.

Those jet parallel clamps are $10 more for a 31” than a 50” bessy clamp. You can get the 50” Bessy for $69 bucks
I've always thought Bessey was the best bang for the buck, but a lot of people love the JET

I've been waiting for years waiting for SawStops patents to expire so that other companies would be free to use the same technology in their table saws in hopes that the compentation would lower prices for saws with the AIM technology would come down and be more affordable. I find being told that the patents don't expire until 2030 and 2033 to be very disheartening.
