I have the thin rip jig, shelf pin jig, and the 3d miter square. The tools are great. Accurate and well priced. I have been impressed. They also have T squares in 24" and 32" that I may purchase in the future, based on the quality of the tools. Also have a chisel sharpening set. Enjoy your videos, keep up the good work.
Great to hear! I'm actually going to check those tools out in the future I believe! Thanks for watching!
Great video, thank you for sharing. You picked my interest on the thin rip jig to the point where I looked it up on Amazon
Thanks so much Scott, Glad you liked it. It is definitely much better than the one I have right now. I really like that locking mechanism!
Great video as always Brian definitely going to check out a couple of these tools as they are thing’s I can use for sure. Thanks as always for sharing
Thanks so much Jim! I appreciate it, and thanks as always for commenting and watching!
Nice find! Take care & stay safe.
Thanks so much Doug! Thank you for watching! :) Take care as well!
Thank you. The video was very informative. I put a couple of the tools on my Amazon wish list!
I'm glad you liked it Mark! Thank you so much for watching!
I love your "crisp" presentation on these tools!
Did you ever teach school in your past? You would make a wonderful teacher!
Haha! you are too kind. Never taught before, but I did own a few restaurants in the past, which might of helped. Thank you so much for watching Skippylippy!
@@FlynndoggWoodworkyou seem like a nice guy. I wish when I worked in restaurants it had been one of yours. I managed a few, head chef at a few more and every single one had psychopaths for owners. Makes for a bad work environment
@@woodworkingandepoxy643 it's a tough business... I'm glad I'm done with it. It will suck the life out of you!
Thank you for sharing such a well thought out video on these new found tools. Everyone stay safe, happy 😊 and healthy. From Henrico County Virginia
Thanks so much Norm! Really appreciate it and you stay safe happy and healthy as well!
Nice reviews. Thanks!
Thanks so much woodchip! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
Shelf pin jig is in my cart. Great find.
Awesome! Thanks for watching Fearsomewarrior, glad you liked the shelf pin jig! :)
I do welding and the 3D square looks like a great tool. Thanks.
Oh interesting! I never thought of that! I could see that, thanks for sharing and watching Georgiaguntraining! :)
Great video , good examples of what looks to be decent tools, and presented in a fun way, thanks for posting from Garry in the UK
Thank you so much Garry! I love it when people watch from countries outside of the US! Thank you so much for watching, really appreciate it! Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you for this review video! As a new woodworker, I’ll be coming to your channel for more reviews
Thank you so much Mohammadahmad! I appreciate it, and thanks for watching! :)
First time I have seen your channel. Enjoyed it. No wasted words and very informative and not too long Well done!
Thank you so much PappyfromtheKeys! Welcome and thanks for watching! :)
Very good presentation of tool Co that I have never heard of before. I will be looking into this line of tools.
Thanks so much and thanks for watching! :)
This was a great review video. Very little wasted time... just facts. I like that.
Thanks so much Matthew! Glad you liked it and thanks for watching!
Love your videos! Had to subscribe right away after starting this video....
You make your videos funny & interesting!
You are too kind Dredyy! That was one of my main points with this channel, was to have some fun with it! :) Thank you so much for subbing and watching! :)
Love the presentations ❤ old retired Scotsman living in Germany
So cool to have international people watching these videos. Thank you so much for watching Tom and commenting!
Super tools and presentation.
Thanks so much cletusrobinson! I appreciate it and thanks for watching!
Great informative video Flynndog! I had never heard of these tools and your calm, strategic presentation of them gave me some confidence that I could make good use of them - despite their unfamiliarity and being Chinese made. I appreciated your demonstrations vs just talking about their uses. I think I am interested in the bench dog clamps. Nice work!
Thanks so much Merlinsatrom! I was quite impressed with them. I usually find a lot of defect with many chinese made woodworking tools but these seemed to work as advertised. I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
That thin rip jig looks just as nice as the solid aluminum one I bought from an Ohio based company called Chips Fly. Theirs is only $28 vs the $39 Amazon is charging for that Chinese one. They always ship fast and have a lot of nice tools also reasonably priced.
Oh nice! Thanks so much for sharing egbluesuede! I'm going to check that out! Love hearing about brands I haven't heard of. Thanks again for sharing!
I’m looking forward to purchasing several of these tools soon.
Glad you liked them Dynamic Custome Woodworking. I was pleasantly surprised with them as well! :)
I just added that thin rip jig to my wish list, which happens to be on sale right now! As I am on SS, the price is affordable, I just have to wait for my next "pay day". I have several projects in mind that it will be perfect for! Thank you so much for those long hours of shopping on line and the great review!
That’s great HoneyHallowHomestead! Best of luck to you and thanks for watching. If you make cutting boards, or need any type of thin strips of wood it will do the trick! :)
Thank you for the reviews. I will check out this brand for sure. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
P.s. I was laughing out loud at the ‘flexible’ clip too. Hilarious! Keep up the great work.
Haha! That was one of my favorite clips as well. When I first saw it, I couldn't believe how flexible that guy was! :)
Looks like some great products
I was pleasantly surprised that is for sure. Thank you so much Kevin!
I just picked up the thin rip jig and multi angle square. Bench dogs look good and I'm pick up a set of those too
Oh nice Natedizity! I hope you enjoy them. THanks so much for sharing and watching!
Good video. I was a carpenter when I was younger. I am still a tradesman. I found this video very informative.
Awesome, I appreicate that todd! THanks for watching!
Great job on the video
Thanks so much Bill! And thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review, I always like finding more inexpensive tools to make my woodworking more affordable, that being said; one of the other features that you get out of some of the bigger brands is durability and guarantee, when I spend top dollar for a lie neilson tool I get a lifetime guarantee, which I have tested (twice) and even though the tools were handled roughly and the damage was from my own misuse they stood behind their product and sent me and new one! Even Lee Valley won't do that! They are cheap enough to buy multiples so they have that. Ill give them a try, thanks for the introduction.
Great point Dennis! There really is no safety net with tools like this I guess. Probably something I should think about when I look at tools as I am really rough on my tools. A couple of my woodpeckers even have a dent or two on them on non critical spots from dropping them on the concrete!
I purchased their shelf pin jig and it's been the best one I've used so far. The last one I purchased was from Milescraft and I was really disappointed because the holes were always way too big and none of my pins would stay in place.
Thank you so much for sharing sinsin! Love to hear comments like this from people who have some real experience with the tool over time. Thanks again for sharing and watching!
Great info
Thanks so much David! I appreciate you watching!
Great job
Thanks so much Joseph! I appreciate you watchign and commenting!
As someone who has a cabinet millwork shop and over the years have bought pretty much every tool out there . I’m happy to spend my money on Woodpeckers and Starrett knowing the quality and local US jobs
I 100% get that. I would do the exact same thing, if I was running a cabinet millwork shop. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching yellowdog!
Yes but for a DIYer like myself, I can't justify paying 3 times more for the same or almost same quality.
Im happy u have a ryobi drill
Haha! Love my ryobi drill and impact driver. Those two are my some of my first tools and still work as good as the day I got them! :)
The tools are cool, but your personality is why I just “liked,” and “subscribed.” I’m 60, and these tools caught my eye on Amazon because they looked like they’d be easier to read for people who’s eyes aren’t quite as sharp as they used to be. Your review helped me make a decision. Thanks! ☮️🤝🏼 from Oklahoma, USA!
You are too kind Tim! Thank you so much for watchign and the compliments. I was really quite impressed with these tools. Seem to be very well built and will be tools I use!
Love the saying on the shirt
Haha! Thanks so much and thanks for watchign Robert!
I just ordered Goingmake thin rip jig. Expect it soon. I'm giving my homemade jig to a friend. I like the fact that it has a one-way bearing.
Oh cool! I hope you enjoy it Ken. It should be great for cutting boards or edge banding!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork especially handy when I make an accent stripe (either straight or curved).
I got my thin rip jig setup today. Impressed with the construction and consistency. I like the fact that it can even put in T tracks. I calibrated the zero location and adjusted to 2 pointers to a specific location that is easy to add. I made a label so I remember where zero is.
@@kenerickson4923 That's awesome ken, I was really impressed with it as well. I hadn't seen that zero calibration in a thin rip jig before, it's a nice feature! Glad you like it. Really all of those goingmake tools are top notch in my opinion especially fro the price. Happy cutting!
My home-made jig had a ruler and a scribe mark I set to zero. No math. The end had a screw instead of a bearing so I had to remove the jig before cutting. The bearing works well. Old jig is being given to a friend.
I love the idea of that miter square, my only thought- I wonder if it couldn't be a few inches bigger like up to six inches.... I'm also very interested in that rip jig.... Once again you are just finding ways to cut into my limited disposable income.... Yes you are a terribly bad influence.... Thanks again for the Saturday morning video to go with my coffee. Enjoy your weekend.
Haha! Thanks as always for watching Pat! I agree, it would be better at 6 inches for sure. The 4 inch is a little small. I think they need to have a woodworking bucket for retirement savings! :)
Nice quality. It looks like this company is putting themselves at the top of the quality chain now. If things go south in Chinese manufacturing, it will be in their best interest.
Great point EnGammamazon! Thanks so much for watching!
I sub’d because I like your no nonsense presentation.
I appreciate that Rood67! Thank you so much and thanks for watching!
The shelf pin jig in particular looks attractive, that's something I will need soon. Does the drill bit fit snugly or is it loose? Ideally it should be a close fit but still slide smoothly in the bushings. Have you tried it with a brad point drill bit? It should help drill a cleaner hole.
Great questions Jeff, It is a nice snug fit but not so tight it could ruin the bit. Very similar to a Kreg pocket hole jig. I haven't tried it with a brad point bit yet, but excellent suggestion. I'm going to building a lot of cabinets in the next few months, so this little jig is going to get a workout!
I do appreciate that you take the time and effort to search out new products, I was particularly intrigued by the thin rip jig. What really makes me worried was that all the 5 star reviews were from people that received a free product. While all the other reviews were about it not fitting in Craftsman and DeWalt saws, which doesn't apply to me. I trust your review, and while the product is at a all time low of $30, I personally think I'm going to wait and see a how these hold up over time, seeing that I really don't need one right now. Now do yourself a favor, turn off your computer and get some sleep please. 😴😁
Haha! I hear you on the reviews. I bet some of those are fake for sure. I feel like a lot of these chinese companies do that to "boost" their stars. I know that is for sure what happens on Temu, etc. but I'm sure it happens on amazon as well. No rest for the wicked! :) Now I want to go listen to some Ozzy! :)
I have been looking for a speed Sq. One that has holes to mark the wood an the side leg makes it a winner. When you put the lite behind the Sq and I saw all the holes made it a winner.
On the 3D Sq, are the markings painted on or engraved
Great question Laurie, Painted I believe. Someone else asked about that as well, I'll be checking next time I go back to my shop. Thanks so much for watching!
Should always use a zero-clearance insert when ripping narrow pieces on a table saw.
I know, I 100% agree with you. I'm in my temporary shop right now and don't have it with me. But I probably should have put some blue tape over it or something.
nice job - subbed
Thanks so much spudseq! I appreciate it and thanks for watching!
Very informative. I just discovered this channel and very much appreciated its content. I think that type of counsel is very positive in my case as a beginner in this industry cabinets. Secondly, comment would like to bring the corrective use of each tool. I took two courses of cabinets maker and I arrived to this factory and I didn't know how to use a square saw beacuse in the place that I took tha courses that type of saw was off-limits for us students and for my surprise there were not any regular table saw. You know what? I got my house open youtube app, and with a channel like this, i learned the minimum use of that tool to survive I the factory. That's why I appreciate this channel.
My name is Ruben Medina and I'm from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Just sent greetings to the person who instructed this video. I don't even know him but very appreciated.
Welcome Ruben! Thank you so much for your compliments! You are too kind. I was actually in Puerto Rico this summer. I LOVED it. Such a beautiful country. We got to visit a rainforest while we were there and I was amazed. Glad to have you with us, and thanks for commenting! :)
Great video, Bryan! So who drops the tools to you? I love those shirts too by the way! Blessings!!
Thanks so much Joe! This was a company that sent me an email and once I saw the tools I was intrigued! I really like the shirt in this video. One of my favs! Thanks as always for watching joe!
Great looking tools thanks for the info, but can I ask is your camera set up wrong as it looks like you are leaning to the left?
Thanks so much, I currently use my iphone to record. I'm guessing it is my tripod. Probably time to invest in a little nicer one! :) Thanks for watching kingcobrauk!
Love your videos!!!
For someone that loves discovering new tool brands Im shocked you havent came across the Neitra brand yet! Theyre awesome!
So far I have their small square (similar to DfM tools but better IMO because of the extra measurements) their set up blocks (dead on!) & I just got their woodworking ruler set that has a feature Ive not seen on any of the others. It comes with an extra add on slide for 45 & 30 degrees. I love them & they seem a lot better made then any of the other woodworking ruler sets ive bought .
If you get a chance you should definitely check them out! They also have quite a few other jigs & such, if they're anythiing like the things I've bought from them they'll be just as awesome & they're not as expensive as most
Thank you so much for the suggestion Tiffany! I'm definitely going to check them out. I've never heard of them, Thanks for the tip and thanks so much for watching! :)
Of course! Altho I do blame you for goin over my budget a coupla times lol
They are pretty awesome tho, I wish they had more tools honestly. The ruler set alone is killer & so well made I absolutely LOVE the extra slider they include, Ive never seen it on any other ruler set but it's been great for helping me practice dovetails! Usually I have to use a whole nother gadget for that lol. Plus I happen to love color & their bright orange & blue is nice. I have their router set up blocks in my cart now to go along with my regular set up blocks & I cant wait to get them in
Love your channel! (My budget doesn't lol) thanks for the videos & the reply!! 💜💜
@@tiffanys2992 I think I'm going to get a couple of them for an upcoming video. Now that I look at them, Their cabinet hardware jig looks almost the same as one I did on this channel a couple of months ago. Makes me wonder if it is a Neitra jig! I'm going to have to check the brand on it. I used it for a video I filmed last week!
That sounds awesome, happy to help pass it along & I kno more ppl will be able to see them if you do a video on them lol
Man I need to pay closer attention! I've been eyeing that cabinet jig for awhile, if it is theirs please let me know Ive been wanting to get one & if its anything like the rest of their tools it should be great as well
I dont have any wwoodpeckers, but their small square is hands down better'n any other one ive had to compare it to including my DFM everyone seems to love, I hope you like them as much as I do!!
@@tiffanys2992 Thanks again Tiffany!
When looking at your referral link for 3D miter square I noticed that it look like the right angle is attached with two machine screws. Wonder if this side could be removed so you could use it without. the separately in toolbox for the rare occasion when required.
That's an excellent question, I'm going to check that out this afternoon. My guess is that you can remove it! Thanks so much for watching John!
Nice
Thanks for watching Johannesvisser!
Are those markings etched in?
Great question. No, they are painted on, so they are raised.
Interesting 🤔👍
Thanks for watching Carllamb!

Might need to get the bench dog
:) Just make sure you have the correct bench dog holes for this one!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork all my dog holes are 3/4"
@@kenerickson4923 Perfect! These should work then!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork I finally ordered the bench dogs today. I had them in my Amazon cart for a week or so. Score: price dropped $3 while I waited.
@@kenerickson4923 Oh nice! I do that same thing. You should see how many things i have in my save for later folder on amazon! :)
On the miter square. is that extension down the side square and straight? It "wood" be handy to bring the cut line around a corner, if it were accurate. Cuz you can't always get a clean mark, visible on the side you need marked for your miter saw to cut.
Great question! Now I'm going to have to check that. I suspect it is, but I will confirm!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork thanks
Norm Mc. too funny!
Haha! that was one of my favorite clips :) Thanks for watchign gradydorn!
For that GOINGMAKE Thin Rip jig what you are failing to mention or do is show how you measured from Jig to Blade
I tired jigs like that before and miss having a scale indicator/marker ie: similar to the WoodPecker This Rip jig.
There are a couple thin rip jigs with a scale-marker made from China out there, highly recommend
Good point drright. I've always had a problem with accurately reading any output from the scales on a thin rip jig. It sounds like woodpeckers may have figured it out. I'd love to check out that tool someday. Thanks for wacthing drright!
On the surface, based solely on your video, these tools look to be very well built. There is one thing I would liked to have seen in this video though. You used a Woodpeckers square to gauge the squareness of one of these tools. I would have liked to seen how accurate the measurements of the GOINGMAKE, when compared to the Woodpeckers.
This is a very valid point Pagan, I always seem to forget to show a few comparison items when I make videos. Some other viewers commented they would have liked to see a couple of other things measured up as well. These are great comments as they remind me to include these types of comparisons on future videos. Thanks so much!
I got a set of the bench dog clamps, they are okay. They are okay, I think I like the ones I got from Taytools better, but time will tell I have only done an initial evaluation.
I do like the thumbscrew thing that is an improvement over most of their competition, but I wish they had used a different handle for the clamp part , the bar type is a bit easier to use than the wheel, it is just easier to tighten. I wish they had used a rubber protector on the hold down part, the plastic one they use looks like it will only last a certain amount of time before it will break, but that is what that strange dip stuff is good for, I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. But for $30, they are not bad, a serviceable tool to say the least, certainly not as fun as holdfasts though. Maybe I just like hitting things with a mallet.
Excellent point Douglas. I kind of felt the same way about the handles and probably should have said something about it as well. It's kind of like an outdoor faucet. I've got a tough one to turn off at my house, and always struggle with the turning mechanism on it. Thank you so much for sharing Douglas!

Thanks so much thisisyourcaptin! Welcome and thank you so much!
I have bought too much junk on Amazon to believe it makes a difference
Haha! you and me both! Thanks for watchign rockygrandstaff!
I was impressed how do I prices access to purchase?
If you look at the links in the description it will take you to each tool individually and you can see the prices. Best of luck to you and thanks for watchign Charles!
I saw you checked square with the woodpecker but did you check the rule to see if it was correct as well? Thanks for the video as well, some of us can’t afford woodpecker no matter how much we love America
Great question kcmarines. That 642 is my #1 square, I guess I probably should have mentioned that. It is what I do 99% of my layout with and I have checked it multiple times. But now that you have asked the question, probably a great time to check it once again, but very valid question, but I'm about 99.99% confident it is completely true.
@@FlynndoggWoodwork I’m sorry I assume the woodpecker is correct I was meaning did you check the new ones against the woodpecker to make sure they rules are correct? I saw @731woodworks buy from Temu and he checked to see if their rules were correct and they were off.
@@FlynndoggWoodwork No, he's asking if you checked the scale on the 3D miter square. In addition to @kcmarines' comment, you didn't check the square of the rest of the 3D square.
@@jeffh4505 noted! yes, I check all the angles on the square. Not sure why I didn't show this on the video. Thank you for pointing this out, as it allows me improve next video:)
Does it have to be going make, or can it be one of the other 57,512 brands that put their names on those same products?
Haha! I hear you, this brand has a lineup though which is something I don't see that often with tolls like this. But 100% agree, especially if you go to less reputable sites like temu or banggood. Thanks for watchign carterscustomrods!
Where can I get that T-shirt, that is awesome!!
Haha! Thank you so much for watching. I just added a link in the description, but here is the link as well - amzn.to/3spxxL9

Who has a 3/8" miter slot?
Most of what i have seen is a .75" vs a 0.72" for the craftsmen saws that have the tabs on them. Is that the 3/8"?
Well, I think some of the really cheap saws may have them, but I think what they made it for was router tables which I know a lot of them have those smaller (almost t-track) slots. But great question! Thanks for watching James
"side rail" ~ if it's an issue, that's what angle grinders are for: get 2 ~ 1 of each
Great idea William! I need to get myself an angle grinder, that is one tool I have not yet purchased for myself. But I do have a hack saw! :)
The try square would be great if I worked with a lot of 4 by material but since I don’t…… Kreig makes the same shelf pin tool but doesn’t use slave labor and it’s actually made in the US.
Thanks for watching Dennis, yes I also have the Kreg jig as well. Have a great day!
Seems like they don't offer the T-squares in mm/cm - what a bummer. The hinge and pin hole jig do look nice though!
It's funny you say that, I'm actually thinking about doing a second video on some of their other tools since this one was so successful. I just got those tings this week! Thanks so much for watching kaktus3175!
Is GoingMake on par with iGaging?
Well, that is a great question. And one that I probably can't answer yet. I have not yet had enough time with the tool, however I don't see any red flags yet, but that doesn't really mean anything.
Nice stuff. I'm a newbie and have not had a project with thin strips yet. But I have seen several thin strip YT posts and I have the same question for all.....instead of resetting the fence for every cut why not just take the thin strip you just cut and sandwich it between the workpiece and the fence?. Seems to me it would be a bit more accurate than readjusting the fence for every cut.. cut a strip, move it to the fence, cut another move that to the fence with the first. and so on.
Well, I think the problem would be is that it would not account for the kerf of the blade. Blades are typically 1/8th of an inch and this material is completely removed during the process of each cut. Therefore you would need to keep adding an 1/8th inch strip to each successive cut along with the thin rip you cut as well. I hope this makes sense.
OK so also keep on hand a one kerf spacer and add it to the stack against the fence. But you are right, I forgot about the blade width. @@FlynndoggWoodwork
@@jackspeer2127 Yes that is correct, but you will need to add anohter space every time you make a cut on the wood, so you will need the same number of spacers as you have cuts (I believe).
No, you only need ONE kerf size spacer. After that you just move the thin strip you just cut and add it to the spacer against the fence and keep moving the newly cut thin strips to the fence stack.@@FlynndoggWoodwork
I just rethought about it and you are again right. so my method just wont work and is not a time saver. back to square one.
Thanks for the tool review. This is the first time I saw a thin rip jig . Just got done ripping 1/8 strips. I hate doing it the way I did it. Fence 1/8 away from Blade. Trying not to have it shoot out . I ordered one . No more of that thanks we'll done report.
Oh yes, that is the way I used to do it. It's a very scary process doing it that way. I think you will be pleased. Thank you so much for watchign and commenting David!
I did subscribe, so lets see what its about. Cheers.
Thanks so much James! I appreciate it, and thanks for watching! :)
How can I order tools from going make
They are available on amazon.com, you can go there directly or there are links in the video description. Thanks for watching Lynn!
Unfortunately they are not available on Amazon, or apparently, anywhere else.
I saw your comment and just realized they must of sold out of the smaller square. Hopefully they will restock soon. Thanks so much for watching and commenting Packetlevel!
How Accurate Are the measurements
Great question, I saw no error in the tools I got, but with limited experience with this brand I'm not 100% confident. Because this video has done so well the company actually reached out and is sending me a bunch more of thier tools so I'm going to really test those tools out very closely as they are mostly T-squares etc. Thanks so much for watching and commenting LiveTravelandLove!

Haha! Thanks so much for watching!
Let's hope they have metric as well. You know. Pretty much rest of the world. 🤫😉😉
Haha! I'm almost positive they do! The US needs to get on board with it! It really is quite silly
🎉
Thanks for watching!
I don’t understand the 3-D miter square. The top ruler markings do not extend on to the top of the wood. How is one suppose to read a measurement or set a distance from the edge. Use the old Mark One EyeBall? I guess I am just not seeing the usefulness of this ‘tool.’
Well, i think this tool is more for laying out mortices etc. At lease that's what I see myself using it for. But great question. I might be misunderstanding your question though. Thanks so much for watching!
Goingmake... Just sounds like a name that was translated.
Haha! You are sooo correct with that. I thought the same thing! :)
Thanks for a great review, I'm not a fan of Chinese products. You have given a look at a few useful tooks.
I hear you stephen, thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Currently "unavailable" on Amazon
I know, I reached out to the company and they are working on restocking. Looks like they are pretty popular now. 😞
Dogg, man, there's the trusty "Woodpeckers 642," that's good for 50 push-ups. Hey man, you feeling okay, looks like you have something going on with your eyes (hay fever?). Use that dang PPE while renovating your shop. Either that or, there are noxious fumes coming from the packaging from China. Ah, "Festool," good for another 50. Are those knobs brass? We want to see the Rikon lathe. C'mon Dogg.
#NoMoreChina
Haha! You aren't going to stop until I get that Rikon are you! :) You know it's actually the lights I'm using in my garage. I have some really bright spotlights that make me squint (one of the reasons I want good lighting in the new shop). I've been using them for about a year now, and my wife is always commenting about how I look like I'm squinting in my videos.... because I am! :)
@@FlynndoggWoodwork As long as you are well; otherwise we'd miss our daily dose of Dogg. Especially since that Rikon lathe should be on its way. With regard to the eye thing, we weren't sure that you weren't sending a morse code hostage message. We were about to launch Dogg team 6 to rescue you.

"Black and white" contrasting colours are't necessarily the best "high contrast" for those like me who in our "later year" who don't enjoy the 20|20 vission of our youth, bit it is better than etched lines in a stain finished Woodpecker square
Yeah, I guess that is what I was comparing it to William was that etched stainless. I really have a hard time reading that sometimes. Probably need to wear my bifocal safety glasses more often! :) Thanks for watching and commenting!

You probably aren't lying there! :) Too too funny! Thanks for watching Damon!
That bearing isn’t going to help with kickback unless it has some high friction rubber coating on it to grip the wood. Even with the bearing being unable to run backward, the wood missile would have no problem just sliding along the smooth surface of the immobile bearing.
Still. Build quality otherwise looks good.
You know that's a very valid point. It would be really be a really nice upgrade if it had a rubber wheel on the bearing. Thank you so much for pointing that out and sharing. Excellent idea!
Too bad those clamps aren't 20mm. I have some of the cam lever style bench clamps and they're just OK.
You know the company actually reached out to me and they are talking about making a 20mm version so stay tuned! Thanks for watching big red racing dog!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork Nice to know.
What’s the purpose of the empty coke cooler?👀
I wondered the same thing SilverFox.
I bet he's going to hang venison meat in there. 🤣 Aged venison is so good!
Haha! Great question. It is currently unplugged because of the filming. It's a noisy little fridge and you can here it in the background when I'm filming! Probably needs a tune up!
Haha! Great idea. Now you got me hungry for deer sausage!
The biggest problem with the 3D miter square is that it won’t be long snd that little pin will roll away into oblivion. It’s too bad the manufacturer didn’t design onboard storage - that would’ve made so much sense.
As for the extra leg, I would actually use that. But storage is a big thumbs down, as you pointed out.
You know that is such a great point. That pin will most definitely find its way to the depths of a dark corner in my shop. Onboard storage would be amazing for that thing. Even with a little magnet at the bottom so it stays in place when not in use. Excellent idea. Thanks for sharing and watching Trapper Creak 2024!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork
My pleasure! Thank you for your videos!
You said that these tools have at least one feature, that the others don't. Well you mention 'DFM', when you were showing the square. I guess in that case, the only feature is a negative one, the shoulder extension that you said, you would eliminate.
Anyway what the Chinese are doing is replicate (copying) what the others did. No money spent on research, just take the same idea and put the automated machines to work.
But at the end of the day if you produce in mass you should create products way more cheaper than the original products and brands are selling for.
So it's ok to copy!
If the original brands are selling 20, 40 or even 60 times the price it takes to produce them (we used to call that greed).
Maybe the original companies don't have the ability to mass produce yet, but that's when the game changes, and you can produce products affordable for everyone.
Thank you for sharing your opinions on this. I appreciate it and thanks for watching!
It appears this a tool company who has a commitment to quality. Kreg, Woodpecker and other companies should take heed. I watched another You Tube channel and he spent 500 bucks on Temu tools! Man, what a joke. None of the tools were square and many ads were very deceptive. I will never buy a tool from Temu...ever! Just saying. Nice review. Thanks.
THanks so much for the comment Gregg. I agree with you. Over the last year there have been a few tool companies that I've been very impressed with at a more reasonable price. Also totally agree with you on Temu. It's a total carnival! :)
@@FlynndoggWoodwork Yeah, from what I understand, the reason Temu stuff is so cheap is to intic you in to giving them your data. Personal info of American citizens is highly important to the Chinese Government. I have heard from some of my tech geek buddies that if you buy anything from any of these companies, use your PC, and use a VPN. Never use your phone.
Should have called this Chris Chrispycreme hugs China on the beach.

These look like pretty good options although I hate it when you guys insert those stupid ass clips. When I watch tool reviews I want a serious video. That is just my opinion.

It's good to see you know what constructive criticism is. In my 64 years I have learned that people who know what it is and how to use it( and not get their feelings hurt and cry that you're being mean) I think they call that butt hurt nowadays. You will succeed at anything if you use criticism to better whatever you are doing.
Good luck my friend, I hope you go far( as far as you want too. Everyone has their own idea of what SUCCESS is for them.

As I’ve found out all too often with tools made here in the USA, they don’t work as they’re supposed to either. There’s nothing unique about that. I’ve also found that there are good and bad Chinese companies, just as there are here. Younger people don’t know, but there used to be a lot of cheap tools made here and they were bad. They’ve disappeared, for the most part, and cheap Chinese companies have taken their place. But Chinese prices are lower and a lot of what they produce is really pretty good.
I love this Mel, Thank you for sharing this. I think you hit the nail on the head. The bigger name brands have pretty much drowned out all the smaller tools that used to be around that were made in america. Not to mention, a lot of the american made tools have many parts made and imported from other countries as well. So in this global economy it really is hard to find a 100% truly american made product.
@@FlynndoggWoodwork it’s gotten very complicated, these days. You see “Made in America using global materials.” It’s got to be at least 50% American materials or parts to say that it’s made here. But does it really matter anymore? The world is so connected nobody can really do it all alone.
@@melgross I agree! When I was in school in the 90's IU was pushing everyone into international business, which is what business is these days. Hard to separate politics though, and I think that is what most people get hung up on.
@@FlynndoggWoodwork very true.
I'm confused about those clamps. If they just rest in a hole in the bench, don't they get lifted out when you tighten up the clamping screw?
Since the clamping force is away from where the hole is, there will be horizontal pressure keeping the clamp in place in the dog hole. May be difficult to understand, but it works! Thanks for watchign and commenting theonceandfutureking!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork Ah, so it applies sufficient horizontal torsion to brace itself against the hole? OK that's pretty neat!

Influencer marketing, nothing more... nothing less.
I hear you, these tools really do perform quite well, and I don't put anything on this channel that I don't think I would use personally. Everyone needs to make their own decision, though.
That’s so easy for you to say. But obviously you don’t use tools. If you did, you wouldn’t be so quick to throw labels around. Besides, “influencer” is generally used for those on TicTok who get laid for marketing.
Thanks for sharing the tools and demos. I can use 2 our of the 4
