RIP Bill Paxton.
Bill didn't die, he just went home
bill either got fisted by a Terminator or got sucked by a tornado
Private Hudson was the greatest character in Aliens. Great actor. Great person.
Yes he did go home maybe a tornado or terminator rip bill you were one of my idols great actor and human being 😢😣🎥
I really liked his character in true lies
Bill Paxton just looks so happy throughout all this. Rest in peace, Bill. Hudson did good and went bravely.
Gone way too young!!!!!!
R.I.P Bill. Ty for the iconic moments and memories
We miss you
Yeah, He was a good guy and the comic relief in the movie. It’s very sad what happened to him. Same thing that happened to John Ritter, another funny guy. I miss them both.
Paxton was good in every film he was in. He played the crazy in Terminator.
RIP
Hudson is kind of similar to me; I get jittery, nervous, Doom and gloom when things are going bad, but when the shit seriously hits the fan and someone gets in my face, I go mental, almost like switching gear
@@763kjm Im about 40% Hudson, 40% Hicks and 20% Drake :)
But yeah I absolutely loved that guy. Hit me hard when I found obout his death.. It was like few months after I watched this reunion :(
Bill had the most energy of anyone on stage. Crazy to think 7 months later he was gone.
RIP Bill Paxton🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
Yeah, and not only that but he looked great and gracefully aged. Fucking sucks dude, life is so fragile. Remember to tell the people you love that you do often peeps! R.I.P Mr Paxton.
Bishop looks like he is about ready to power down. Really is amazing that everyone showed up to Comicon to talk about the film, even being paid for it I bet many non nerds would rather not go to Comicon.
Michael Biehn is an underrated actor. He brings a physical dimension to all of his roles that really brings his characters to life.
Stay frosty...
A lot of actors can do big over the top crazy, but few can do quiet slow burning crazy like Biehn.
Great actor, the studio apparentely lobbied him for an academy award nomination for The Abyss. Loved him as Kyle Reece and ofcourse Hicks
@@JeVoudrais12 I believe you are right, but I think it is safe to say he was definitely pigeon holed at some point but Tombstone seemed to kinda pull him out of that, but I think his drinking had become an issue by that point. He is truly the greatest action star of the 80's and yet, never would be mentioned in the conversation.
He was hot as hell in this and in The Terminator. For me one of *the* actors of the 80s.
Is he underrated? He used to act in a big films.
RIP Bill Paxton, your game will never be over.
My top tier Bill Paxton performances are
The Terminator (1984)
Aliens (1986) his breakout role
One False Move (1992)
Tombstone (1993)
True Lies (1994)
Apollo 13 (1995)
Twister (1996)
Titanic (1997)
A Simple Plan (1998)
Big Love (2006-2011)
Hatfields and McCoys (2012)
Haywire (2012)
Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
And Nightcrawler (2014)
Out of all the actors that James Cameron collaborated, Bill Paxton has appeared in 4 of Cameron's films
And near dark (1987)as severen
@@godammichael I've Never seen that movie
@@josefengelhardt2767 you should lance is also in it
It’s seriously criminal that Michael Biehn didn’t become a bigger star. He oozed quality and class with his performances as Kyle Reese, Hicks and Lt Coffey.
I would love it if James Cameron cast him for his Avatar sequels.
Alcoholic sadly
He was gonna play Miles Quaritch in Avatar, but Cameron decide that one actor from Aliens was enough.
@@drivingintothedesertuntilt3202 Not at all, he was never a huge star even back when he was doing all the big budget flicks because being a big star entails partaking on a game he had no interest in playing. You can tell by the fact he is more well connected than the majority of his peers and not once leveraged that to get him any roles. Also he's a father of five and made the conscious decision to be there for his family instead of being away for half the year shooting God knows what.
I don’t think so, he’s had his days in the sun, the fact he can look back with pride and see what a big part he was of it will satisfy him.
Micheal Biehn-in all fairness-lacks the mega star charisma hence he and Bill Paxton were always character actors. Talented, interesting performers though but neither of them were exactly marquee stars. Micheal Biehn later joined the Star Wars franchise.
--"where's vasquez?!! where's vasquez!?"
You always were an arsehole…Gorman.
He redeemed himself sending his team on and going back for Vasquez(he wasn't coming back!)
Ryan Gettig He really did. It's so funny, I actually have a signed autograph by the actor who played Gorman - It says, "you always were an arsehole…Good luck, William Hope".
Wierzbowski?
The sarge is gone lets get the fuck outta here.
This is truly an A-list of folks who created one of the greatest sci-fi action films of all time. The story, the acting, the pacing, and the alien FX are timeless. Aliens resides in the pantheon of cinema greatness.
Lol James Cameron still pissed about Hick's death in Alien 3.
Hell I"M still pissed about it!
I still am too
Third films always seem to spoil Cameron's endings.
Even "Terminator: Rise of the Machines" ruins the thought that one can change the future.
Most people "on Planet" are still pissed about that,David Fincher's aesthetic aside....
Ryan Gettig
Well that is certainly a diplomatic way of putting it! :-)
Alien and Aliens are 2 of the greatest films ever made. Sigourney Weaver an amazing actress and Ripley is a genuine female hero who commands the respect of both men and women.
For me personally, the best lines ever are:
Hudson: "Hey Vasquez have you ever been mistaken for a man?"
Vasquez: "No... Have you?"
still a shell-shock 34 years later LMAO
No Vasquez, damn! She's awesome in the movie.
Yeah. She would've been a good addition to the panel.
She was prolly mistaken for a man.
@@spookymulder945 lolololol
Janette Goldstein as Vasquez wasn't using her real accent in Aliens, she put it on to sound like a Mexican or Latin American, probably imitating her mother's voice, that's why it was so convincing, even though the role wasn't about acting, it goes to show the quality that was put into making the film, I actually like Aliens far more that Alien, James Cameron has a knack of making sequels that surpasses the initial film of the franchise
She's "just too bad!"
When they announced Bill Paxton he should have said "and next up, the only man to have been killed by an Alien, a Predator and a Terminator....BILL PAXTON!!!"
Also, he was turned into a pile of crap by a hot chick (Weird Science)
He survived Terminator grill ramming, no telling he was dead....
Killed by Phil Coulson, director of Shield too.
ken bibi erm Bill Paxton played the punk who got his heart ripped out by the terminator in the 1st film.
Pretty sure his character died in that scene.
degree7 no it was Bill Paxton
ALIENS is the perfect combination of sci-fi, horror, & action.
It started it's own genre.
R.I.P. Bill Paxton, John Hurt, Al Matthews, Harry Dean Stanton, Ian Holm, Balaji Badejo (first Alien film), Ron Cobb, Stan Winston etc.
Can't believe this is thirty years old it still holds up remarkably well today.
Just compare it to the stuff that comes out today. Will we be watching that stuff in 30 years time and thinking it holds up?
In the words of Shia Labeouf: "No.. no.. no no nonononono!"
brian0918 Exactly!
Some current stuff today will hold up.
Thank Sid Meade the futurist consultant every thing the guy touched was magical, he also did Blade Runner.
Bill was always happy doing these panels for Aliens..good to see him enjoying this one too, it was the last one he did. RIP
I'm here for Bill. Rest In Peace, man. Love you, dude.
Same here. A true loss :(
God Bless Him,Now&Forever!!:)
The man was a legend.
Yes he was great and game over man and got speed Bill REST In Peace ✌️ Sir and it’s the Police Officer 👮♀️from Terminator with Bill Paxton and the great 👍 Arnold Schwarzenegger
RIP Bill...... He was so happy throughout all of this video!!!!! Anything he did he made iconic no matter how small the role.
Bill Paxton looked like the friendliest and happiest guy. RIP, Legend!
Applause should have been louder for all these guys.
Paul Reiser's performance as Burke is criminally underrated.
Watching Bill Paxton here is heartbreaking... RIP
Why have I only just found this. I’m a 40 yr old normal ish guy and seeing Bill walk out put a little tear in my eyes. Rest in peace Bill mate, thank you soo much for helping make my favourite ever film. Wish I was there at this event how epic to see these guys together
He was a party animal, and he looks so fun to hang out with.
He burnt out, but he burned brightly.
@@drewlovelyhell4892 He always reminded me of a grown up Bart Simpson if that makes any sense.
Hear, hear.
I think Paul Reiser did a brilliant job playing Burke. He is a bad/evil executive but he didn't go over the top, I found his character believable.
I share in Michael Biehn's frustration with Aliens 3. One of the best things about Aliens was the romantic relationship that had slowly but surely built up between Hicks and Ripley, which culiminated in the Director's Cut scene where they spoke each other's first names to each other just before she saves Newt from the Alien Queen. It was a very touching connection that the characters had, without being in your face. Aliens 3 just spat in the face of Hicks and Newt. Totally ridiculous. Aliens 3 had none of the cast chemistry or charisma that Aliens had.
It also had a cast of characters who I couldn't care less about for being slaughtered. It was a prison planet for christ's sake full of rapists and murderers! To be honest, the Dog Alien was doing a good deed killing them all. Alien 3 is just trash all round.
100% agreed. It's one of the dullest films to watch. Charles S. Dutton was probably the only convincing cast member. Everyone else was either bland or played a complete asshole. It's better to think of Alien 3 as some bizarre "what if" scenario. I usually support films for exploring psychological damage, but in the words of James Cameron, this whole movie felt like "a slap in the face."
+iluvlafferty have any of you read William Gibson's script for Alien 3? Hicks would've taken top billing and Bishop would've been like the partner character with a good send off for Newt. It had some gory horrific stuff in it but it would've miles better than what we got
That's a stellar script,Kal,I've read it and agree:)
I so wanted Hicks and Ripley together. They were so good together. Great chemistry.
Gotta love Bill Paxton, he's having fun there. Loved this panel
One False Move!!
Ryan Gettig what?
Bill Paxton crime thriller from '92-check it out,it's brilliant!
+Ryan Gettig 1 of many best Also Near Dark with Cameron's ex Kathryn Bigelow.
Agreed,Devon,Near dark scared the hell outta me!Watched One False Move again last nite and I think it's "way up there" in Bill Paxton's' filmography!Carl Franklin also did Devil in A Blue Dress w/Denzel&Don Cheadle:)
I agree Janette Goldstein aka Vasquez should been there or at least mentioned!
Sigourney has such a distinctive voice, it's so cool.
Lovely to see Sigourney's kind words to Michael Biehn just after the 23 minute mark.
A class lady, recognising a very underrated actor.
Here's hoping they get together for another Alien movie very soon! :)
I never forget that scene in the rock in the showers. He really was amazing.
Sigourney confirmed on another Aliens panel video that her and Michael are doing Alien 5 after she's finished her work on Avatar. but things change so who knows.
Sounds hot.
We'll see. It's in hiatus at the moment. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Alien: Covenant isn't a major failure.
@@LukeLovesRose Well... we now know it pretty much was a failure, for all intents and purposes, and that Aliens 5 is cancelled and will now never happen.
It's one of the biggest letdowns in film/sci-fi ever, IMO.
Bill’s line to Burke - ‘F***, he’s dead, you’re dog meat pal!’ cracks me everytime, every single time. 😂
Easily one of the finest cast ensemble in a masterpiece sci-fi action movie ever. Can’t wait for a sequel with this cast if at all possible.
1 of my funniest moments on Aliens
"Hey Vasquez have you ever been mistaken for a man... Vasqeuz: "No ,Have you??" lmao
Suprised JG wasn't in the lineup.
Bill lights up the stage...you can tell he's such a fun guy to be around. Damn RIP sir.
"You never said anything about an android being on this panel, why not!?"
Thanks for uploading!
“Game over man! Game over!!!! “
I love valve so much for letting Cortana quote aliens.
So sad that less than a year later Bill Paxton would be dead. Hope he knew how goddamn awesome he was, every single time I see him in a film he's brilliant.
Such a great reunion panel of one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn and Lance Henriksen were my favorites in the cast; their characters really blended well together as a team.
Holy shit, Burke, what an underrated performance
John Carpenter should do this with the gang from "The Thing."
winston smith I'd buy that for a dollar!
If you haven't yet you should watch the movie with commentary by Kurt and John.
You gotta be fucking kidding
Palmer
Agreed! He'd better do it soon if he does, we've already lost Copper, Gary and Norris :(
I should get to a ComicCon before I die. I'm 71 now. Better get movin' on that one.
A group of truly talented people, who created a masterpiece, and left a legacy; rip Bill Paxton.
"Hudson!... HUDSON. ...This little girl survived for longer than that with no weapons and no training. Right?"
"What, you put her in charge?!"
"You'd better just start dealing with it, Hudson! Listen to me!... Hudson, just deal with it because we need you and I'm sick of your bullshit."
RIP Bill
You were the ultimate badass
It hurts to watch this now that Bill Paxton's gone... farewell, Hudson. State of the badass art, forever!
RIP Bill Paxton, great actor and seems like such a humble, nice guy here...
What an awesome reunion! I seen Aliens in the theater when it came out. Cant believe that was 30 years ago.
Saw in the cinema too,and I totally believe it was 30,but then it's not the years it's the mileage....
Saw it when it 1st came out too wondering what kind of person would make a sequel to a classic. Cameron was the new hot kid coming off his surprise hit "The Terminator". I was still wondering if was stupid, arrogant or both, but he killed it. I like "Aliens" more than "Alien".
I even remember the day - I saw it July 27th 1986. That's how memorable the movie was for me.
30 years old and nothing has come close to the perfection in all aspects of Aliens, and proves that practical effects are much much better than cgi because it's all really there in front of the camera and has a visual truth that you can't just phoney up with computers
I wish I had seen it when it first came out. Yes, I was around then. Just didn't have the opportunity then.
Michael Biehn deserves a bigger hand, dorks.
Ham Tyler shame on them.
God bless you, Bill Paxton.
Rest In Peace.
That was great to see them together again for this.
Aliens 1986, my favorite movie.. wonderful to see everybody here! Be well, Bill Paxton, whereever you are; you rocked the role of Hudson.
Bill you were the best side role actor.
Cameron says the scene where Bishop does the knife trick with Hudson’s hand was not sped up. Sorry, but it clearly is. You can see the slight but rapid movements of people in the background on the mid-shot of everyone!
I think the master shot is sped up, but he's saying that the close up shot of Lance moving the knife over his and Bill's hand is real time.
All the Legends are true! xD
HailAnts I don't think so; to me it looks sped up in close-up too.
probably sarcasm because it is way obvious...
I always was sure it was sped up. It clearly looked inhumanly fast. That was the point of the shot. Was shocked now to hear Jim say it was real time. Unbelievable. But would he really lie? I'm confused.
I miss Bill Paxton, he’s so energetic and happy.
Bishop is my favorite character. He wasn't asked any questions...
I remember seeing this in the theater during the summer of 1986 when I was 14. Jesus how time flies.
Seeing Aliens in 86 then Predator summer of 87... two iconic sci fi films... it was a great time to be a teenager.
23:00 Holy shit, he went there. Brilliant
I saw this movie so many times and each time it's like the first time ! I will never be bored to watch this movie again and again.
Bill Paxton rest in peace...😭😭
Bill is exactly the guy I would go on a beer or two.Just look at him .God damn it
Also, I don't care about what anyone else says, as I totally agree with James Cameron's POV of Alien 3. Killing off Newt and Hicks was a cheap trick, a careless way to sidetrack the audience of all the investment they'd had in appreciating the family dynamic of those characters with Ripley in Aliens. It was terrible. Yes, I know: Aliens 3 was SUPPOSED to be bleak. Whatever. But in my opinion, it still ruins the character development and relationships of the sequel. The characters of Alien 3 were bland and unsympathetic in comparison to the marines and the little girl. You can always tell how mad Michael Biehn and Carrie Henn are when asked about it. Just listen to the DVD commentary of Aliens where they talk about it. Jim Cameron is very honest that he knows it disregards the investment of the audience and that he wouldn't have made the same decision as David Fincher.
Not David Fincher decision.
HE1NZ Fincher had the most authority as the director of Alien 3. The director controls everything. He had the choice to opt out if the studio were putting pressure on him. The movie had terrible preparation; it had a bundle of rewrites & scriptwriter changes. The tone is depressing, Ripley is a mess, everything set up in 'Aliens' comes to nothing.
I think Alien 3 only gets some praise because David Fincher wen't on to become a great director, and fans of the Alien series who preferred Alien to Aliens may have liked the return to the similar tone that the first film had, regardless I feel Alien 3 was a huge step back. I personally find it to be a decently made(side from some dodgy effects)/acted film, but I still hate the direction it wen't since I personally loved where Aliens left off after Alien.
It's difficult to opt out when you're done shooting most of the movie already. Just ask Josh Trank. He had _tons_ of control on Fant-four-stic, amiright? (sarcasm). lol Richard Donner was replaced for Supes 2, but the finished product still wasn't what he intended. Maybe Fincher preferred going down with the ship, instead of relinquishing his control entirely, or maybe he was just too inexperienced to call it quits. Who knows?
At Least David Fincher himself admits Aliens 3 was a train wreck that takes guts to admit that I'm sure no other director would be honest about it
Public proposals are a social abomination.
He made it about him, and not her.
One of my all time favorite sci-fi movies. Just can't believe it's been 30 years since I first saw it... Surely has to watch it again tonight:)
Very sad about Bill untimely demise. The camera always loved everything he did. This is an awesome panel discussion. Great seeing them all together.
one of the best sci fi movies ever made..perhaps the best. love it still
Such a perfect cast and you can still feel the chemistry between them 30 years later! I love how much fun Bill Paxton is having and is genuinely so thankful for being able to play that character. Everyone should listen to the cast commentary from the blu ray, it's hilarious!
Had such a mad crush on Michael Biehn back then. Terminator, then Aliens. Love seeing this reunion. :)
Michael Biehn forever!
Sigourney still looks Hot even if she is 66 years old. Pray everyday to see in less than 2/3 years Alien 5... with Repley holding a bazooka!
Definitely. She gets better with age and it doesn't hurt that she has such a beautiful energy/disposition.
"Repley" my favourite b tec alien clone
She was even a badass in "Paul" lol
??? What the hell are you talking about ???
Bill always looks like he's having a blast at these, I love it.
Also, really sad to hear what sounded like a promising Aliens 5 go down the tubes. Now we'll literally never have a true Aliens sequel worthy of the characters.
RIP Bill Paxton. Legendary film. Legendary actors.
I don't buy that the knife trick wasn't speeded up… it clearly was because the people in the background start to move at hyper speed too.
Yeah it was very obvious too.
indeed...
Ethan John Nobody told any jokes....
You have some issues dude.
Say I-I-I I want the knife….. please.
+Ethan John as oppose to those talking complete bollocks?
Now this is what I call a fucking panel.
It's so funny. They all sit down and then stand when the next name is announced then sit back only to get up again.
It really bums me out that Bill Paxton is no longer with us. Such a massive loss. On another note, its great to see most of the cast at this panel.
Bill Paxton will be greatly missed. I'm so glad they got to do this before he died. Game over man, game over
Micheal Biehn and Bill Paxton, youre my heroes. I think I'm as silly as Bill and as drunk as Mike. Rest in peace Bill, and I hope I get to tell Micheal Biehn how much he helped me be a tough guy, when stuff got tough.
This was probably my favorite panel from Comic Con this year. Happy 30th, Aliens.
2 Franchises PEAKED with Cameron and then went to shit without him... Aliens and Terminator....
Just give him back the franchises....
I was at the con and definitely regret missing this panel. Thank You so much for posting it in its entirety. The movie is a true classic, and perhaps the greatest sequel of all time. It's actually easy to understand why. The writing and directing are terrific, and it has an amazing cast. It will continue to be enjoyed by audiences for the next 30+ years as well.
Watching this right now makes me happy and sad at the same time. Because the film is so pivotal to me, but then I see Bill and remember he was taken from us way too early.
man it's so awesome to know there's still so many faithful ALIENS fans after all these years
Bill Paxton should not have gone to that heart surgery, he could have lived for many more years! RIP
RobinPM100 But he had to. He had to have a valve replaced. That's not something you can put off.
Yeah and YOU should've done the surgery too!
He should have chosen a better hospital
Word to The Late Great Mr Bill Paxton. Rest in peace. Brought a little light into my life 😔
All these years later... if someone even mentions the movie.. i NEED to watch it.
That the knife trick wasn't sped up in editing is bullshit.
It was sped up in the theatrical cut. I can see the crank. But I think in the extended cut, Cameron cut out the sped up crank shots.
What a lady Sigourney is, so classy and still so beautiful! Amazing actress and woman. Love her so much!
Been waiting all day for an upload, thanks!
I'm at 150% full out GEEK mode right now!! Thanks you for the post.
this is by far the best thing that has come out of comic con this year.
That was awesome. Alien and Aliens turned Sigourney into a legendary actor, along with Ghostbusters of course. It was cool to see them all after so long. Great video.
Been looking for a full upload, thanks!!!
Saw this movie over 6x in the theater when it came out. One of my all time favorites!!
It's amazing how like after so many years how they can remember exactly scenes or which way james shot a scene and such ...aliens so many good lines ..such a good movie ..

Two of the greatest/scariest films ever made, shocking tbh. I watched them far too young, thinking no problem Lol. They done it's job to scare the hell out of me. The terror, fear, tension, realism makes it pure horror. Both are groundbreaking masterpieces way ahead of it's time. The cast are faultless.
I still have hope that Alien 3 & 4 was a hypersleep fever dream and that Ripley, Newt, Hicks, & Bishop drifted back through the Quar Systems on their way back to Earth.
When you arrive at the terminal and miss your plane...God Damm you Bishop!
Aliens and predator the best films ever of science fiction. Greatness.
52:40 Bishop: - "OMG, here it comes again... please Hicks... please..."
Lance is cool!!
I'm so sad that I didn't had the chance to see live all these wonderful and lovable people that brought so much joy and entertainment in my younger years, due to the fact that almost nobody brings these people in the eastern Europe, at least where I'm from. It would've been such a great joy to see them and hear them. When Bill Paxton died, a part of my youth went along with him. God rest his soul!
bill paxton's reenactment of Burke's death just hilarious 😂 what a legend
